Morning All! I don't usually participate in the jokes because I'm no good at them, but I found a good little newspaper here that has tons of them.

On teenagers and cats:
Neither teenagers nor cats turn their heads when you call them by name.
Even if you tell jokes as well as Jay Leno, neither your cat nor your teen will ever crack a smile.
Cats have nine lives, teenagers carry on as if they did.

:-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-)

Ok...one more. Maybe this will wake some of you up.
On Friendship:
1. When you are sad - I will jump on the person who made you sad like a spiker monkey jacked up on mountain dew.
2. When you are blue - I will try to dislodge whatever is choking you.
3. When you smile - I will know you are plotting something that I must be involved in.
4. When you are scared - I will rag on you about it every chance I get.
5. When you are worried - I will tell you horrible stories about how much worse it could be until you quit whining.
6. When you are confused - I will use little words.
7. When you are sick - Stay away from me until you are well again. I don't want whatever the heck you have.
8. When you fall - I will point and laugh at your clumsy butt.
9. This is my oath - I pledge it to the end. "Why?" you may ask; because you are my friend.

It's gorgeous here today so some off road riding is in my future :-) The girls got me up early and when we we outside there was a lady walking her white bobtail cat on a leash, on the other side of our backyard fence :-) I'll just say THAT made for a wake up call for the 'hood..... LOL!

I think the cat tried to climb her leg & she had on shorts..... LOL!

LOL!!! I'm watching Sunday Morning and they are doing a story on the World Cow Chip Tossing Contest --- too funny :-)

I've got a neighborhood Greet and Meet at the park today... but again a day with very little on the MUST Do List. This is a very strange feeling.

Oh man, they're showing TNs Fall Creek Falls park as their closing video... what a beautiful place. We truly have some awesome country right here in our own borders.

Have a great day and enjoy the park! Wish I took time to do park things; we even have a nice arboretum about 200 yards from our house but don't visit it :-(
My girls are so little that their backyard is like a park to them LOL! We stay close to home :-)

Morning . . er . Afternoon everyone. This is Terry's weekend off so we've been busy around here. Me with my usual classes, then breakfast out with Ter, grocery shopping, gas buying. I hate grocery shopping anyway, but grocery shopping before a hurricane is 100 times worse. The stores are more crowded than normal and people are not nice. I just keep my hurricane stash up to date so I don't have to think too much during storms.
Tribs - funny jokes this morning. :-)
Kobi - how's your little fur friend doing this morning?
Kathy - hang in there. If you need to vent, call me.
HI PATRICK Are you working at the dive shop today?
PS, Tara - Cow tipping. Do they get 15% or 25% tips.

Later!

Florida and "Ya'll southern" people please stay safe, you are in my thoughts!

I am packing, repacking and packing again. OY VEY! this is the part I like least, but the end result is awesome!

Thanks for all the good thoughts yesterday our little Bijou will be sadly missed. I'll tell you though, it broke my heart and I haven't had a good cry like that in a long time.

We had a good day yesterday, took the kids to Gilroy Gardens as a distraction and I think it worked, we all had a good time. Check this place out, it is way cool!

Morning gals and Patrick....... :-)

This morning has been laundry and grocery shopping. Don't worry about Fay - the kids at the checkout in the grocery store told me it's no big deal - that these storms never hit the same place twice! Tell that to all the folks that got Jeanne and Francis a week apart in SE Florida! College kids! It's a good thing they know it all! :-) We have a huge dead pine tree that's supposed to be removed on Tuesday, pending Fay's cooperation.

John just left for the pool store and gas station. Then it'll be mowing time. I need to beat the afternoon storms. Returning home after a trip is always busy, busy!

RA, that looks like a nice way to spend the day. Gail, remember the saying "Hire a teenager while they still know everything!"

I just scrubbed Rasta's yard (pppeeeeuuuuu). That's usually Guy's job but it can't wait another day. I know we have a lot of dog owners here ---- I'd like to find an environmentally safer way to clean her urine smell rather than the bleach we use. She's got some pretty darn strong pee though :-(

Afternoon, ALL!!! :-) :-) Well, maybe not :-) :-) more like ??? :-(

It seems, that my lovely Mrs. Turtle has come down with ......

:-) :-( PUPPY ITIS :-( :-)

Eight days from now, we will be joined by the newest member of our family,

Finnshavn Holle Berry, who was born on 13 May this year!!!

Holle is a purebred Cardigan Corgi female

Mrs. T. has wanted one - well since our Mimi - a rather bizarre Corgi mixture left us, about 15 years ago. She was a real treat :-) She knew how to respond to numerous commands, problem was, she was unilingual FRENCH!!! and she didn't like our accents!!! :-) :-)

But - NOW, the fun starts for me and the boys, Midnight and Oscar!!! I have to get a fence and gate up for the back yard, and they recommend a 6 inch hook and eye arrangement on the door to where the kitty boxes are, to protect the kitty litter boxes, and the contents - !!!

The biggest problem I am having is with this idea of the door only opening 6 inches...... I don't think that Oscar will be able to squeeze himself through that small of an opening. He's been compared to a racoon..... a BIG racoon!!!!
As you can tell, his diet is NOT working!!

Ah, well, these are thee times that make life .... Interesting?????

Oh, and BIG HUGS to all!!

:-) Bill :-)

As for Timmy's post - cute pic, but then I followed the link to the 'stuff' and what do I see but a comment about a Corgi and a weak bladder. That's ALL I need!!!

Just kidding!!! :-) :-)

Bill, that sounds like it's going to be fun for you and Mrs.T! Midnight and Oscar may be shell shocked for a while but they will get over it, I'm sure!

Tara, I'm going through the same thing with Ms. kitty, stinky pee! I clean the litter box daily but even if it sits for 5 minutes it grosses me out!I think I am going to try the BIOZYME, the one Timmmmmy has no affiliation with. :-)

Heck if it works half as well as the Furminator I'll be happy.

Howdy all! We are relaxing trying to recover from our adventures with our friends.

Linda, I did two matt dances, one in front of the stage where Joe played, and then one on the deck of the USS Midway...uh...can I tell you that folks were staring at me on the Midway??? lol! BFF will be sending the vids to me, and I'll forward them along to you. We had a great day on the boat and PWC. BFF was scared to go with her hubby, so I took her out for a "girls" run and we had a good time.

Boom, we hated having to use bleach on the dog run, so went with Simply Green. With four dogs peeing and pooping all the time, it gets smelly. Simply Green works well for us.

Bill, congrats on the new baby. :-) Hard to take a new one on, but exciting. :-)

Before I go further, let me tell you guys Lar-Man and I are A-OK now. My kids talked to him. hehe He actually apologized. So now that we're done with that.....

I made a mistake and went to Wal Mart to fill up with gas earlier. It was road rage at the pumps. (3.52 a gallon). I got honked at, cursed out, and a woman actually came to my car window to tell me that she and her SUV and big A** boat had been waiting for my slot for 30 minutes. I could have been mean, but I pulled out, and told her she should STAND there and claim the spot. She did, and cursed out a few other people who dared to pull in. It was a big mess. Other people were nice, while we were jammed up and couldn't get out.

Wal Mart was jam packed, too. Hurricane was the buzz word. People are freaking out. I couldn't even get bread!

Anyhooo, a stork has been on the lake all day, and a mama muscovy brought her babes out. :-)

Yes, it's crazy here in Florida today. I'm so glad I filled up the truck Friday night. Like Kathy, I went to Wal-Mart for a couple of things and left there needing a valium.
#1. the last minute prep. hurricane people were there.
#2. School starts tomorrow! All the screaming and whining Wal-Mart kids were there with their screaming and whining Wal-Mart parent/s.

The best time to fill up your gas tanks with a storm on the way is at midnight. The tankers have refilled the tanks and nobody is there. YES!

Bill, Congrats on your new puppy. Be sure to post pictures. Puppy pics always make us smile.

Cynde, I so proud of you doing the Matt dance at the concert. I so surprised that Joe didn't notice you and ask you to dance on stage. Wouldn't that have been a hoot?!?

Evening, everybody! We're back from dirt biking and we've all showered and no longer smell like the great outdoors LOL!
We parked beside a field that had, I know, a thousand bumble bees in it. We managed to NOT get stung. Rode 35 miles today so my behind is worn out!!!

Didn't see Alvin and his buddies today; they must be hunting and gathering this weekend :-) I did, however, see some bear poo SOOOOOOO I have the answer to that age old question ~> the bear did **** in the woods

Donna, glad you're home safely!

RA, that looks like an awesome place to spend the day/weekend! I am sure the kids had a ball!!! SO, are you done re-packing yet?!!?!! :-)

Boom, Linda thanks for asking...Bits is better!!!! Today she is her old self again. Must have had a few off days but now everything seems back to normal WOO HOO!!!

Cynde, looking forward to seeing your Matt Dance :-) Glad you had a fun weekend.

Mr. & Mrs. T., Congrats on the new furbaby!!! WE HAVE TO SEE PICTURES. It's mandatory LOL! Can't wait to hear all about her.

Linda, don't ya love back to school time?!?! I am not EVEN going near WalMart, during normal operating hours, for the next two weeks :-) Ain't gonna do it! Between the high school peeps AND the THREE Universities we have it's gonna bite!!!

Boom, I know you already ordered some cleaner but have you ever tried Nature's Miracle? I use it all the time for both carpet and floor cleaning. It's an enzymatic cleaner as well and does a good job. They have it at PetCo and PetSmart.

PS.......CONGRATULATIONS!!!! Hope this guy buys everything but the kitchen sink :-)

Elaine, Michael likes red Folgers coffee. See graphic above :-)

I was talking to BFF about it, as he kind of looks retarded (and I mean this in the kindest PC way)...she said "look closely, his right hand is keeping in time with the singing, and his left is going along with the percussion instruments...she was right. I was completely fascinated by this and we both think he's probably some kind of savant (sp)...i mean, it's like tapping your head and rubbing your stomach at the same time...just fascinating.

He doesn't talk to the audience at all, he came out, sang his heart out and then walked off stage. Of course, he did come out and play a few onchore (sp) songs as well...I need to now download some itunes of his.

:-) He's well liked. He just doesn't get a lot of phone calls...LOL!
Some of us speak LOUD just so he's sure to see it. He works a lot and often can't read every post.

Welcome ShielaRee!!! Patrick is a BIG man who deserves BIG conversation!!! We love him like a Brother from another Mother and another Father :-) :-)

Kobi sounds like you had a nice day in the woods.
Gail at least you can laugh :-)

Guy said there's a chance he might be able to come home tomorrow night :-) Just in time to hang out with 8 gorgeous women - I'm hosting the Lipstickers again. HaHa!!!

I totally flaked today - stayed home and played with my new kitchen tools (I made cookies, processed a bunch of carrots & broccoli for Rasta and played with steaming carrots - tomorrow morning I'm steaming oatmeal!) and puttered. No neighborhood duties :-( They will survive ~ LOL!!

Hey RA - if you have enough room in your luggage can you bring me back some Curry Ketchup - I'm just about out!!!!

Sweet Dreams everyone! I'm going to curl up with the pooch and HGTV.
