Good Morning BTers near and far. It's chilly here in them thar Poconos again today...brrrr...it IS August, isn't it???

Today I ONLY have to work 9 plus hours and then pack for going away tomorrow, do laundry, clean the guinea pig cage, etc.....

Amanda did hear back from the grad schools now, so we will probably be running her to visit with people, which will make it nutty while we are away, but it's a good thing for her, so....

Wish us/her luck!! The one professor even invited her to go out into the field for the day with her(I think it was a her)....from the Univ. of New Hampshire. Today Amanda's taking her GRE's...she's not as good at standardized tests as she is at everything else, so some good luck there would be helpful, too!

Today is our 8th Anniversary!!!!! Time flies!

We are doing nothing - we did go to McDonald's for our dinner on the weekend, we do something cheesy like that every year!

I STILL haven't had time to go thru them all and load them up! Having a heck of a time with Windows Vista on the laptop, so it's more complicated than usual. But we have some great pics, and the topside ones of the sunrises, a red cockaded woodpecker on a palm tree at sunrise, great fish pics...but just no time to do it, yet!

Good morning all - Tribs, here's to getting a FREAKIN' dryer. I HATE unreliability. Just tell me when you are going to be here - and be here. I don't mind a time frame but a day or two or three frame - AARGH!

And Eileen - 8 years - you go girl. This October will be 7 for Pete and I.

It's a bit brisk here too Donna but that's OK - and happy Grad School looking too.

YoMO, he's missing his front flipper and half of a back one -- looked to us like a shark encounter. He's got to be VERY old. Poor baby was covered in barnacles. You know me, I picked some of them off. He stayed with us for a long time.

We also saw a spotted eagle ray AND a yellow stingray that were without tails. Made me mad that someone would do that.

Wooohooo! I have a dryer! Only took four attempts to have it delivered and 2 weeks, but it is here!

Donna...I took the GRE when I had the flu. It was horrible because they gave me a bucket and I couldn't leave the room until I had finished the entire test. I'm sure she will do much better than I did and I got into several grad schools and actually teach college now. Make sure she visits with that professor. It is very important for her to make connections of a personal nature. Yes, grad schools have criteria, but having someone on the admissions committee advocating for her because they want to work with her is a HUGE bonus! Keep us posted on how it all goes. Tell her to send me an email if she has any questions (there are no silly questions!).

PS...Mara...I thought Bob was on Bonaire??? Oh Patrick????????????

Good morning all. Kathy I'm pretty sure your missing tails can be attributed to sharks and not fishermen. I've heard tell it is pretty common to see rays without tails due to sharks.

Miraculously she arrived an hour later and nearly sh** herself when she found MY car in the parking lot. I came in to wrap up a HUGE account order knowing full well she wasn't here. Something often happens when we're preparing to go out of town and it just miffs me to NO END!
IDIOT that's all I can say at this point. She'll be unemployed soon enough.

YoMo, I'm seeing a whole career thing here...One of us works for Kobi for a while, the other rotates w/ Jerry and Tom (To cover for WHN!!) and then switch. At Jerry's we get to eat donuts and wear any HKS that we can find. At Tom's, when WHN is not there, we get to carry a whip and steal that dang clipboard!! I like this. Where do I send my resume?

And we get REALLY good wine at Jerry's and if we're the "star" employee we get dinner at his house!!!

If we get "Employee of the Month" with Kobi, we get Crown Royal and lots of shopping!!!
