Morning BT peeps!!! Was up late last night watching Olympic action and am up early today....thanks again to furry children :-)

We're back in front of the plasma yelling as the US is playing NED in soccer/football :-) We just SCORED a few ago; sorry Netherlands/BON!!!!
We are definitely going riding later as it may rain this afternoon. It's another cool & beautiful day here in VA.

Patrick! If you're cooking, I already ate;turkey bacon, eggs and toast :-) BUT if you're mixing up something SWEET I would partake LOL!

Everyone make it a great day!

Morning Kobi!
I can't believe as much as the Olympics are the only "sport" I will willingly watch, I haven't spent 15 minutes on them this time... what's wrong with me?

I'm leaving in a bit to drive to Milwaukee to pick up my new foster dog "Cassie". A 4 year old collie girl that could be Lassie's stand in :-). The best news is that she isn't even on the website yet and we have an adopter interested in her already!!! She won't last long, YAY! Looks like Jingles will only have a short term buddy this time.

Oh, and Patrick... if you've got the grill up, I'll have eggs benedict (in Lost Penguin style) and a nice glass of milk! :-)

Have a great Sunday all to follow!!! :-)

Awwww, Becky good luck with your foster doggie! Cassie sounds adorable :-) THANK YOU for doing what you do; you open your heart and your home and I admire you greatly.

Hugs to you and safe driving!!!!

Speaking of eggs benedict, I just had them this morning on Bonaire! Couldn't sleep after the CO flight got in. So, unpacked as much as I could, the guys were sleeping till around 7, then went to Paypaya Moon, where the old Lost Penguin was, and I never had eggs benedict before, but felt adventurous, so ordered some. They were goood!

Nice breeze flowing today, strange for August, but it is lovely here. Can't wait to hit the water, hubby's up, now waiting for Brandon.

Had some real medical issues with folks on the plane ride down, one guy had a seizure of some sort, made it out of it and then a woman in the back of the plane went unconscious, heard the announcement, Is there a doctor on the plane? twice in 2 hours. I believe an ambulance was meeting the woman and not sure about the guy and his plans were. Hope they are both o.k., not a good way to start a vacation like that.

Off to check out the beach, heard we have a new beach northside. Will check in later, ribs tonight!!!! Oh, and Mother Ocean till then. :-)

Sure Debbie, rub it in :-) both about the eggs benedict and ribs. Can I get an order of BBJ's combination platter to go, with extra fries?? I'm drooling just thinking about it.

OMG with sick people on the plane... that's just scary!

New beach?? Is this man-made or did Mother Ocean move some sand? And is it at LBR? I know... so many questions, lol:-) How long are you there for again?

Say... Kobi, Debbie, or anyone coming later, I read a post recently that recommended a specific shop and teacher to do some underwater photography instruction, and I can't for the life of me find it... does anyone remember that thread? I'd love a good course to help improve the quality of pictures I get. THANKS in advance!

Now I better get my bum in gear and get the car ready to go (get my travel crate into it).

Kobi, You should be on the road to where you dirt bike.
Becky's picking up a cute dog.
Debbie, I hope you're in the water right now spotting the whale shark.
Patrick - HI!!! Are you grilling anything for lunch. I thought of you and the gang at the FLAMM this week while making some more key lime pies for work. I ate your piece for you. :-)

If I finish mopping and laundry in time I plan on going to the Clearwater Marine Aquarium. Check it out here: http://ded183-lin-79-183.netsonic.net/~admin164/cms/

Morning all! We just got back from breakfast and are waiting for the mall to open. We both need shoes. Wes was holding his together with wire. LOL! Men!

Good luck with the new dog. I hope Cassie is a sweetie pie!

Have fun today Debbie. I think I dove from your new beach when I was there. If so, it was pretty nice. I'd love to spend some time just exploring the shallows and rocks there.

Linda have fun at the Aquarium!

Kobi I understand the early morning critters. My bird woke up Wes' bird and they both started screaming at each other - 6:30 am! And I do mean screaming. Beaker would do his crazy Amazon scream and Daryl would shout..."knock it off Beaker." Ha! And Daryl was the one who woke up Beaker. LOL!

Morning Everyone :-)
Today is going to be taken up with laundry, a neighborhood art show, and bookkeeping.
It's an absolutely gorgeous day here, as was yesterday. We spent yesterday doing yardwork and now our patio is soooooo wonderful! LOVE IT!!
Debbie, glad to hear from you on island :-) :-) I certainly hope those who were ill on the plane are okay - that's horrible.

Becky :-) :-) You're a good person! Thank you for taking care of wayward pups.

Cynde big hugs to you my friend.

Kobi stay safe out on the trails - no Evil Kinevil(sp?) stunts. I came close to breaking my neck last night on wet steps. I think all the wine I had must have helped me to hang loose and not get hurt --- I'm sure of it in fact :-):-):-)LOL!!

Jeanine that's just plain funny --- maybe not to you if you intended to sleep in, but dang funny from here :-)

I got up around 5:30 and watched the day come around --- that is my favorite thing to do. Every time I see a day born, it always amazes me as the colors begin and change and grow.

Pat save me a steak.

Becky, you make my heart smile. I too hope Cassie is a sweetheart.

Pat save me a steak.

Pat save me a steak.

Linda, Choc-o-Lot is going to be displayed at a large gathering of doll collectors:-)

Denise, receive your pm regarding cameras - thanks a lot. Pam got me a refurbished A620 off of ebay so I am set for the trip. Will be talking to Canon this week, of course will talk sickly sweet to them hoping I get the offer you got. Thanks again.

Pat save me a steak.

Jahneen, I LMAO over your bird story. Tell Wes I use zip ties - they come in colors ya kno:-)
Pat save me a steak.

Pat save me a steak.

Tara, I am so happy that you are okay.

Pat save me a steak.

Took off early this morning, had a nice ride then spent part of the day with my Mother. I wish that today she could have known what year it was and who I was. Guess I shouldn't whine and be grateful that she is pain free.

Heading out now to spend part of the afternoon with one of my best friends. Almost lost him this past week. He was released this morning and is at home right where he should be:-)

To all of you and to those that haven't checked in - hugs.

HEY PAT, SAVE ME A STEAK. CYA.

Kobi, have fun and be safe...

Boom, did you get my horrible pic of the belly up sign? The opener was this gal "Sarah Petite" hillbilly rock, and she rocked. I bought a CD...the band was great, and she's got a unique voice, reminds me of Patsy Cline

Steve Potlz was of course, awesome and in rare form...he has funny stories he likes to tell, didn't get home till 2:30 though....man I'm old...lol!

Debbie, glad you've landed and are there safely. Prayers for the 2 folks on the plan that had medical issues. Definitely not a way to arrive on BON!!!

Linda, hope you had fun at the aquarium. That looks like a must do if I ever get my tail down there!!!

Tom, BIG hugs to you. You're such a nice ray of sunshine here and I like that! Just being there with your Mom is great. I know that she knows you in her heart; just remember that. You are a sweet son and a wonderful person.
Enjoy your steak from Patrick LOL!

OMG got home around 2:30 and y'all ain't gonna believe what happened while I was gone!!!! Kinda long winded but stay with me LOL!
Nothing happened during the great ride open thankfully; no deer, no black bear but did almost killed Alvin! This itty bitty chipmunk darted across the trail in front of moi! He stopped and screamed, I locked up the back brake and screamed, & I am sure we both almost messed ourselves LOL! Cute little furry thing BUT do not dart out in front of a woman on a dirt bike, in 6th gear and at full throttle LOL!

OK, so onto the drama. We get home and our routine is Rob unloads the bikes and my job is to let the pups out. I get inside to get Bubbles out of her X pen and take everyone down the stairs and out to potty. Everything is normal at this point. We come back upstairs and I happen to go into the living room and not back into the kitchen to the garage to help Rob. I glanced out the doors to the deck and notice our outdoor umbrella to the right of the french doors! It belongs IN the outdoor glass top table to the LEFT of the french doors! See where this is going?!?!!?

So......I decide to open said french doors and retrieve the umbrella and OMG that's when it all took a poop! The glass top to the table is in a billion pieces. S**t is everywhere under the table and on the deck :-( I DID leave the umbrella partially up and didn't think we'd have any wind/weather while we were gone. Forecast was for 30% chance of showers! Welllllllll make that 100% chance of wind. The rain did come once I started cleaning up some of the billion pieces; I think I scooped up 1,000 pieces LOL!

It was a nice outdoor set that we bought at Costco maybe 5 years ago so it served us well BUT dangit I really liked it; it sat 6 peeps!

I got miffed after a few mins. of brooming and dust panning and told Rob we'd hire our handyman buddy to shop vac the rest of the mess. Called said handy man and he doesn't have a shop vac HANDY! What? You're a handyman for s**t sake :-) That made me more miffed & hungry so out to lunch/dinner we went. Mess is still there :-)

So, I'm now reading BT. Rob's watching Nascar; less than 15 laps to go. TOM...they're turning LEFT LOL!
Tomorrow is another day. I think I will rent a super suck shop vac & clean it up myself sometime tomorrow or this week if I'm lucky! Handyman was good at giving advice and told me the best way to get all that glass is to vacuum it up!

Tribs, thanks for the birdie wake up story..LOL! They sound adorable although that early in the morning NOTHING is adorable huh?!

RA, we just ate late lunch/early dinner....BURP :-) I will go see the larvae post LOL!

OH and totally forgot about my boo boo! I got cut on one of the billion pieces of glass. That shot off a few words AND it's my right "you're #1 finger" to boot! I use that thing alot mind you! :-) I now am sporting a band aid and Bubbles is enamored with it. She's trying to lick and chew it off LOL! I can hardly work the mouse on the laptop as my #1 finger is what I use for that! This just gets better with each passing keyboard stroke :-)

OMG, sorry this was waaaay long winded. Is there a limit to how many words you can post in one post LOL!

I'm home with little Cassie-girl, and she is a beauty!

Tom, so sorry about your visit with mom... like Kobi said, in her heart she knows you its just her brain doesn't anymore. I remember visits like that with my dad :-(. It's never easy, but good on you for doing it! (((hugs)))

Kobi, I nearly peed myself picturing you doing a reverse wheelie to avoid a chipmunk :-) LOL, sorry!!! Bummer on your table (and the cut on your #1 finger:-))

Cynde... I've read through wetpixel, and should again, but it's not the same as someone looking over your shoulder and saying "do this, or do that". I'm more hand's on I guess.

Here's the new kid... she's likely to be very temporary which is good and bad!

Cassie

chewing on a bone

And here's my Jingles... looks a wee bit depressed, until I got out porkhide bones for the both of them!

Jingle-boy

And Pat... I'm with Tom - Save me a steak and some peach cobbler (YUMMIE):-)

OMG! She does look like Lassie! Poor Jingles boy. I wish I was there to give him some extra lovin. He is such a good boy!

Kobi...so sorry on the table and the finger.

Tom - big hugs buddy! You are good man!

BC...well, maybe you killed the thread for a little while.

Ok...so for the shoe saga. I'm probably the only person in the world who cannot buy shoes. I am VERY picky! Actually, I just wanted a pair of plain black flats. Ladies, you know, versatile enough for skits, dress slacks, and cropped slacks. Of course, no one makes them any more. BUT!!!!!! We went into Charlotte Russe and I found the cutest pair of black flats. They were black pin stripped with a little buckle across the toes! I loved them! But they didn't have them in my size. I need a 7 and they only had 8, 9, 10. UGH!!!! I even checked their online store and they don't carry them online. I'm so bummed. Of course Wes found his shoes in the very first store, two pairs I might add. :-( Cynde...Wes has done the duct tape as well. Tom...don't you dare tell him about zip ties. :-)

Patrick, WHAT TIME IS DINNER?

Yes, Alvin will live another day in the wild LOL! It's turned into a bad mojo kind of a day here.

Awwwwww I kissed the screen when I saw your pup pictures!!! She's really pretty and looks so very sweet. Mr. Jingles is as handsome as ever too :-)
You have a great heart, Becky! Fostering is hard but so rewarding. Prayers that Cassie will find her forever home soon. Until then, she' in awesome company!

Tribs, the shoes you found sound adorable. Hate they don't have your size; keep looking elsewhere. I have a zillion shoes and some of them need to go to the great shoe pile in the sky :-) I'm a shoe wh*re though.

I hope you find something just as nice somewhere else. Zappo's has cute things ~>http://www.zappos.com/n/es/color/2/d/722000223/heel_height/1/size/5/page/1.html

And if you have a DSW near you they always have good buys in the back sale area :-)

Good luck with your shopping AND keeping Wes away from the zip ties LOL!

I'm being so bad today... definitely not the Dynamo I thought I was at 5:30 this morning! I did do laundry though so not all bad!
Kobi, you might be able to replace the glass. I used to manage a glass shop. They can come out and make a template of the table (or you can take the table in and leave it) and get the hole size needed and order a new piece of tempered glass for you. Should have it in a week or so. I'm sure it will cost less than a new table. Thank goodness the umbrella didn't break your door glass too!!

Cassie is gorgeous! So is Jingles :-) :-)

Cynde, I got the picture but it's teeny tiny!!! I'm glad that you had fun.

Prayers going out to all BTrs - PegiSue, Tom, Cynde, Kaarien and all of ya'.

Okay, gotta go to the Art on the Mesa and do my neighborhood thingie.... trying to get peeps to sign up for different committees. I guess that makes me on the Recruiting Committee by default!
Have a great few hours and I'll see you soon!

Thanks, Boom! Rob and I have discussed the "getting new glass" idea. Have a shop near our shop. Might entertain that as well as see what we can find new that's smaller and more intimate :-) Scrap aluminum is bringing big bucks currently so it may end up being recycled but we'll keep the chairs as we they are somewhat neutral and we have nice cushions for them.

Enjoy your neighborhood time. You're a good woman!!!

Roy, wonderful pics. Yes, today was a good day, if for no other reason we are all able to be in it. I guess everything is just as it is supposed to be.

Great visit with Matt and his lovely lady this afternoon. Tho he has to take it easy for a while, he is HOME and on the mend:-)

Hi everyone. I'm back from all my running around, going to the aquarium, locking myself out of the truck, making dinner and downloading pictures and video from the aquarium.

Looks like everyone had a full day, too.
Tom, Hugs to you and your mom. It's sad that she is loosing her memory, but good that she is pain free. I can't believe Choc-O-Lot is going to the ball.
Kobi, You had a day with crazy chipmunks and weird winds. I bet you would be able to find a replacement top at a glass store.
Becky - those are some cute dogs. Belly rubs for both of them for me, please.
Cynde - Isn't Winter something? I didn't see much of her today - they may have been giving her the day off. Another dolphin was spotlighted instead.
Patrick - All I want is desert! :-)
Tribs, If I hadn't of locked myself out of my truck (keys fell out of my little purse and on the seat) I would have done the shoe shopping I wanted to do instead of the one item I had to get. I was afraid someone would see the keys, break in and take the truck. BT has had one break in to many this week.
I'll be downloading some video and post them later.

Got to work, and tried the button on the key to unlock the door...nada...as many times as I pushed that button the door would not unlock...I panicked. Called AAA, the guy came out, took my key, put the key in the keyhole, and unlocked the door...boy did i feel STUPID...omg, i was sooo embarrased...I'm sort of the "black and white" kind of gal, have a hard time thinking about those "grey" areas...lol..

beautiful horse.

LOL

The horse has burrs in his mane. Terry works with the owner of this ranch. She is a PT at the hospital, but loves her life on the ranch. Thunder Ranch. She and her husband have several Belgium (sp?) draft horses and a few Brabandts(sp?)another type of draft horse. One of you horse people out there, please correct me.

Here's the first video of two nurse sharks. I have no idea what the one was doing - maybe scratching it's back??
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YSfQ9EUlMgA

And what kind of fish is the big one that follows the sharks?

Hi Patrick! Thanks for saving me some dessert (or is it desert?)

Here is Winter the dolphin and her friend. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l4EchMNTzcg
Winter is the dolphin without a tail fin. :-( But if you go to my first link of the morning you'll see that it's okay. Nature takes care of itself.

Poor turtle can't stay under water, but it's safe and healthy at the aquarium.

Desert LOL! I flubbed that up many threads ago.

Patrick, will get that phone call soon! Not that I don't care it's just crazy at home and at work! My phone is nonstop at home lately so I chill at night :-) Sadly can't really chat at work anymore as I'm training on new software (happy hour will mean so much more in the coming months!) and going to meetings to schedule meetings LOL!
Work just gets in the way :-)

Cynde, my SIL/BIL have Lexus IS and it's the bomb. She has a start button and if the "key" is on her person it senses her proximity and unlocks. They love it but I'd want to ensure it didn't unlock until I was right there. Cool concept though.

The little munk was a cutie today. I yelled at him to NEVER do that again LOL! He was long gone but I know he heard me :-) My glass cut still smarts a tad but I did ditch the bandaid as it was wigging Bubbles out. I'm back to being able to mouse again LOL!

Linda, you made KEY LIME PIE!??!!!
Love the pics of the horse; looks like a gentle old fella.

Kobi, so you can't chat on BT during work hours? i hate that!

My lexus is a 2002, so it doesn't have that keyless entry and start, but a peep has it...it's awesome! I just rely on my "key" too much...lol...

Linda's aquarium turtle; the video she posted a few posts ago :-) Poor guy can't get down far in the water.

I can peek in from time to time, at work, but not like I used to. My boss is a BIG arse LOL!
Hi honey LOL!
Truthfully, work has exploded which is good in this economy! Me not complaining just don't have leisure time like I used to. I know I'm a whiner LOL!
Damg life gets in the way of work and visa versa!!!

Hey Gang :-) I'm back and have a glass of wine at my side!
Cynde - the turtle who can't stay down... Linda's #2384 post.

The Art show was a semi-hit. Some vendors did okay others nada but the main goal is to bring neighbors together and that was accomplished. There is one artist there who does wood carving via solar power --- really amazing work. He uses a magnifying glass and burns the artwork into exotic woods/roots.

Now time for something to eat..... it hungering work standing around schmalzing all day :-) :-)

oh btw.... my 1992 Ford Exploder has all the bells and whistles .... NOT!!!!! HaHa But someday I'm going to have a most bi###in electric car GEM car

Cutie car for sure :-) You need to be sure to get the beacon light adder LOL!
I need the pull behind since we take all three girls to work; each in their own separate crate!
I'd love to have one, for real, as it's only 9 miles door to door to work & that little thing would be sweet AND we sell electric motors :-)

Well, it's time to say goodnight gang. We've had a day of it for sure. Cynde, give hugs to Michael for us! Peggie continues to be in our thoughts as does other BT family.
See you all tomorrow; same place :-)

Boom, very cool! A lot of art places down here are suffering:-(

Cool Gem car, but top speed is 25MPH? Uh...I'd have road rage...GO FASTER LITTLE CAR GO FASTER....lol!

Linda - love the "old man" pics. The horse breed is the Belgian (Belgium is the country:-)) the other is the Brabant (the old Belgian style Belgians... the pic you posted is the "American style Belgian" there's a bunch of nit picking involved between the two breeds). I have 2 Belgians myself... Tribs has posted their pictures before:-) Both dogs have gotten your belly rubs!

Cynde - Cassie was given up because the owners are moving to "town" and can only have 3 dogs. She is #4 and the other 3 are older and all have health issues, so they figured she'd be the most adoptable. It's sad, and I just don't know how people can do it. If I couldn't have my "kids" I wouldn't move there. Period. But that's just me.

Roy - LOVE the pics, you can share more like that ANYTIME!!!:-)

Tara - you are a good neighbor!

Good night all! And happy Monday if there is such a thing :-(

Oh yeah... Roy!!! Beautiful sunset pics.

I've actually wanted the GEM car for years but Guy wouldn't hear of it because he was worried about safety. Now, not so much worry LOL!!! The 25 mph thing doesn't matter for me... I only go on city streets where most are 25/30mpg limits. I want to get one with the hard doors, a heater, and a trunk --- it was about $6500 a couple of years ago. Oh well... someday :-) Now there are a few people in town using them. Now there's an energy plan we can all live with :-) :-)

Kobi, I love hearing that your business is booming! You deserve it and it keeps a positive vibe.

Becky, yeah.... I can't imagine being in a spot where I would have to give up a kid - but then I haven't walked in their shoes.

I managed to get Rasta fed, plowed down some crackers and cheese now it's time to really think about nutrition.
