Cecil, neat story. Linda, my peeps and I go for sushi once a week, on the menu they had "Robster Salad"...I snapped the pic on my phone and sent it to RA, Kiwi, and a few others. One day I got brave enough to ask what was in the "Robster Salad" with a straight face...my peeps could NOT keep a straight face and began howling...anyway, she said they "didn't have it anymore, and it was also a typo"...LMAO.

Thanks Pegi! I'm finally taking a little sit down. Been packing and getting the house ready for the sitter. I need a little HH! :-)

My DIL, granddaughters, and I are flying into Providence, Rhode Island tomorrow, and then driving to my sister's house in Connecticut. We'll stay there 3 nights, and on Saturday will return to Providence airport to pick up John and Josh, and drive down to the beach. All seven sisters and most of their families will be in cottages within walking distance, and most of their grandkids will be there too.

Can you tell I'm excited?! :-) I haven't been to Misquamicut in over 30 years. And we'll definitely have to drive over to Watch Hill and get New England clam chowder and clam fritters at the diner....! Tuesday night is lobster night - all of the cottages get together and boil lobsters, steam clams, baked taters, salad, etc. So good and so many wonderful memories to be made. My DIL has never been to New England, so I'm looking forward to sharing a lot of my childhood memories with her and the girls.

:-) Did I say life is good!

We just finished dinner and cleanup, so I thought I would catch up with BT.
Gail, I know you'll have a great time on the beaches of New England. Our family always had a great time when we visited Cape Cod, Glouster (sp?)and many other seaside towns in Mass.

Hi everyone. :-)

Loved the signs Cyn. lol
Gail, have a GREAT time on your trip!

I'm cookin' and worrying about my Cali Kat. Brooke reminded me she's 16 this month. :-( But she STILL stands on her hind legs till I put her food dish down. :-) And she's still pretty, but getting a little gnarly on the haunches again. sigh She just can't do it anymore so she takes some time and work, but she's worth it.

For some reason, I was thinking while putting supper on, about my divorce cat, Angelina - the most beautiful cat I've ever had the pleasure to have in my life (6 years, and she was hit by a car). She was so dramatically glamorous and beautiful and graceful, and so queenly, but super sweet. I was her Mommy. :-) She was a white absynian with a pink nose, long haired and long tailed. So, I was always this woman who stray cats came to my house and I'd take them in. Then here comes this lowly, rowdy, uncivilized boy cat the kids named Bart (Simpson), who I couldn't help but feed and love. But we decided that wouldn't do, as he was sooooo infatuated with Angelina. So like Pepe La Pew, (you remember that cartoon, right?), we decided he needed a French name. So after a very funny night with my sister and my girls, we renamed him Franc. (sounds like FRONK). lol Then, oh shoot, seems my girls were latchkey kids as they had almost 2 hrs at home alone before I got there, Heather did a tape. Cassette (old days), on our cassette deck/karioke machine. :-) She can do voices, so she was watching Franc and Angelina, and it was hilarious as she was talking as Franc in the voice of Pepe La Pew. :-)

"Oooooohhhhhh, Angelina.........I love to watch you eat. I do not have to eat after watching you, as I am full....of love for you. Angeliiiiiina, you MUST be my wife." Then Angelina was finished eating, looked at Franc and he jumped 3 feet in the air and ran under the couch and peeked out. lol Heather did the , "Don't startle me, my love! Your eyes...your eyes, I am not worthy of even your gaze." On and on.

I was thinking of that tonight, and it was such a funny tape. :-)

Have a good night peeps. Only one full day of work, then a 4 hr one, then on to a mini vacation at Lauderdale by the Sea. Can't wait. :-) xx

Hey Everybody :-) BUSY busy day today.... I'm hungry and thirsty. PS do we still have any nuts behind the bar (pun definitely intended!)

Here's a funny someone just sent me:
Three Men on a Hike
Three men were hiking through a forest when they came upon a large raging, violent river. Needing to get to the other side, the first man prayed:
'God, please give me the strength to cross the river.'
Poof!... God gave him big arms and strong legs and he was able to swim across in about 2 hours, having almost drowned twice.
After witnessing that, the second man prayed: 'God, please give me strength and the tools to cross the river'
Poof!... God gave him a rowboat and strong arms and strong legs and he was able to row across in about an hour after almost capsizing once.
Seeing what happened to the first two men, the third man prayed: 'God, please give me the strength, the tools and the intelligence to cross the river'
Poof!... He was turned into a woman. She checked the map, hiked one hundred yards up stream and walked across the bridge.

Poof!! Gotta get back at it!!!
Gail, your trip sounds like Heaven on Earth. Hope you can share a picture or two. Gosh I can't imagine 8 girls in one family!!!! YeeHaw!!!

Boom - seven girls - four boys...... eleven kiddoos - that's why I only have two!!!!

I have on Central Florida news and it reminds of of couple we met while on Bonaire.....! When we were there we met an interesting couple that were staying at Divers Paradise and coming over to the Black Durgon for lessons.... They were from Fran Srancisco and told us that if it weren't for the Florida cases on Court TV, they wouldn't have anything to watch on TV......

Sad! And I'm listening to it now.

oh yeah wow the Duggar's! Insanity in this day and age - John and I have patted ourselves on the back for getting two kids out of college debt free (for which we did not have the advantage of - and did indeed pay back over many years) but can you imagine this family's need to educate those children beyond home schooling?
