Good morning all, no time to do much but work this week. However PATRICK, YA KNOW WHAT I WANT:-) HELL BRO, THROW A SIDE OF SUNNY SIDE UP EGGS ON THAT PLATE TOO!!! To hell with my doctor today:-)

Benny and I had a great dive on the wreck of the "General Butler" last night with 3 friends. See: http://www.victorysports.net/charters/genbutler.htm

We had 35+ feet of vis too which is a rarity in Lake Champlain. My boy did fantastic considering we entered in 3' waves (storm had just passed). It was his first Historic Wooden Shipwreck - won't be his last. After two trips around the vessel a couple of divers went back to the surface but, Benny, our buddy John (a DM visiting from Conn) and I did three circuits around the ship. I was even able to show Benny and John a bit of wreckage which is off the wreck before Benny's spg showed 1200 psi at which time we left the ship and surfaced. Did I tell ya, my boy did great? Can you tell I am a proud Poppa?)

Hugs to all that need or want them. I hope you all stay safe, are healthy, feel loved and have a happy day. T

Well, today is the day where I must get motivated about packing. It seems I shall be boarding a plane in Philadelphia to go to Montego Bay on Tuesday. After about 1.5 hours shopping at the duty free for Appleton Rum, buying Ackee for Annie, and knocking back a few Stripes, I'll be getting on another plane for Curacao. Eventually, I'll get to Bonaire.

Jim,

Drink a Stripe for me!

We will be using the CO flight in September, and I have to say I will not miss Sangster Airport.

However, it seems as though I truly knew I was on vacation, headed for Bonaire when I downed my first Red Stripe.

That part of the trip I will miss. It will feel odd to arrive at Flamingo at 5AM and not be able to drink a Bright.....

Have a glorious trip.

Hi everyone. Yep, Bette, was quite a week, and yesterday was a particularly bad one. Well, we can blame it on that full solar eclipse yesterday?

I'm skipping breakfast (bad i know!) but going on the monthly shopping spree at the commissary on base. Takes two people and two full shopping carts. Ack!

At least Larry is diving today. He is a Venice nut. lol It also gets him out of the hard work around here!

Years ago I got the bright idea to suck on a Riccola while diving to prevent drymouth. Worked like a charm until my dive tech asked WTH was all over my regulator that was darn near impossible to get off. Her asked me if I'd lost my cookies in it or something. I seriously couldn't imagine what it could be, until I'd left the shop.

So word to the wise - no lozenges while diving.

Jerry, I'm totally trying to figure out a bike joke with a play on spoke. It's raining in NY, I think I'll go downstairs and cut some wood.

Been a great week for me.

First: My (favorite) scanner quit scanning.
Second: Pam's laptop quit lapping on Thursday. Fortunately it is covered by warrantee.
Third: Today my Cannon Camera quit camming. Dontchya love elektronics?

Tom, my lap top got a Trojan this week - took me a few days to get it back to normal. And the repair place called to tell me my Canon camera will not be repaired as the problem is corrosion and that is not covered by the warranty plan I bought with the camera. Nice Best Buy. Hey! It was in my housing, no flooding ever, where the heck did corrosion come from? This reminds me why I do not normally buy those extended warranties.

But sounds like your dive with your Benny was awesome. That's what is important in life, not these electronics hic-ups :-)

Definitely not important but quite handy in times. :-):-):-):-)

Tom, 16 already?! Now the 2 of you can go and do "Grown-up Man" stuff

No really, your little man of 16 years old is not so little anymore. It's a great age for dads to teach their offspring what they've learned but be prepared for some "good" discussions.

Denise, glad to hear you were able to fix your computer sad to hear your camera is crap. Best Buy is actually eating the repair on Pam's laptop, the tech called today to tell her that it appears to be the mother board. Best $300.00 she spent was on her extended warrantee. My camera was not in the housing and I have not sent it back to Canon - yet. Have been searching tech chat boards to see if this is an issue with the A620, seems like it is not. Am considering another canon or the olympus that Debbie recently purchased. Have to decide quick otherwise no pics from my next trip.

Send pics when you grow up please:-)

Bette, Benny and I do "Grown-up Man" stuff together. We are constantly saying to each other "Look to your left." I have many times asked Ben if some of his female "Buddies" mothers were single. When Pam overhears me asking him this, I usually get dope slapped. Someone on this board says that we all need a good dope slap once in a while:-):-):-) I am afraid that I am starting to like it.

Well, Pam's sister is in Oregon and my Nephdog Peter has been in a kennel for a few days so his Auntie Pam sprung him for the night. Peter and Sadie have been chasing each other around since I got home. Ahhhhhhh, the sounds of two Jack Russells barking at everything including wind is .........."Honey where are my ******* earplugs?"

CYA

I feel like hearing, All Day and All of the Night...lol. Because that's what it took to buy a month's worth of groceries, and Class Six was having a tent sale, where OMG $20 wines were $2.00, so I spent another $60. :-) But it's 6:35 and I left at 11:00, and just now everything's in order and dinner's on.

Will this do?

That's NOT really the song I was looking for, but it will do as I have a salad and wine and the sun is not EVEN close to setting, but at least...IT'S NOT RAINING!!!

:-)

What a great thread today :-)
Bette you absolutely captured the BT week - perfectly.

Guy and I have had a nice day. I went to the gym, the grocery and then after a shower we headed downtown for breakfast (Huevos Rancheros -- yummmm) and a little shopping for him. Two new button up shirts from Big Dogs
Big Dogs of Santa Barbara aka 'fancy clothes' in the Smith household :-) :-) and they were 1/2 price - can't beat that with a stick!

We've been listening to such great music all day -- thanks to BH we've got 2 Marc Broussard cd's, Jimmy Buffett's Take the Weather with You, Venice, Amos Lee, and The Neville Bros
Heaven :-)

It's a Thursday night but the show doesn't start until 10!!

I think Cynde is going to work on Hunny Bunny to get them to come up.

You rock girl, sounds like you had a fabulous day. Did some black belt shopping training with Kobi?

Anyway. It was a busy day here and I am pooped. When I get home I'm gonna drop on my bed and sleep for a week (ha, not a chance. I have to be on the airport at 5am tomorrow picking up guests. UGH).
I'm signing off. Stay safe, be good.
