It's really icky, muggy here again now...not too hot YET....I'm driving to NJ today to visit my Dad and step-mom (Teresa with stage 4 colon cancer)and celebrate her birthday with all my step-siblings...should be nice, since thankfully she's doing well right now....

Good morning Donna and all to come. Where are all of our New Englanders this morning? Getting ready for the big bash!

Alex woke me at 7, and we cuddled for 30 minutes. We now have a Back Yardigans DVD on the Tv, and Kira's on the Disney Channel on the computer. John's the fortunate one who gets to sleep in with Chaos by his side. Naw, I'm the lucky on who's getting the hugs and kisses. It's been 2 1/2 weeks since we've seen the girls, between out trip and theirs, so I'm enjoying having them back.

We just plan on a relaxed fun day! Wishing you all the same.

We are getting ready! We attempted a swim this morning, the boys have been going on and on about it. When the time came, crisis ensued. A few people did not enjoy their morning swim. Then after Joel, Kedron and I were finished I read the rules. No one who wears diapers was allowed in the pool... So I guess Joel and Kedron weren't allowed in the pool .

We'll download pics tonight, post on Facebook and then anyone from BT can download/save them and post for me, that part I will not have time for. And if I do not post, the next hotel doesn't have free wireless...

Hi all .. so wish we were going to the BT NE meet today. We had to cancel to go to a christening, family obligation. We will of course enjoy our day, but will now have to wait another year for an annual event we have greatly enjoyed in recent years ... sigh

Happy Sunday, Everyone! Been busy here. Went food shopping, got paperwork, keys in order for the girl taking care of my business when I am on my road trip, went to a yard sale and got my grand daughter all kinds of cool stuff, filled my car with it. Love getting awesome deals on toys and little tyke stuff for her. Stuff looks brand new too! Waiting for an afternoon appt. to come and then off for some Bonaire shopping. Love doing that too and maybe will be able to stop by to drop off the toys and stuff at my son's house.

2 hours, 2 hours, 2 hours

Hi everyone. Got the house in ship-shape today and swabbed the decks, (not an easy task, also trimmed the vine on the arbor, and it took 3 garbage bags with what I cut off so we can walk thru without ducking).

Bought a month's supply of wine and rum this afternoon, listened to Jimmy Buffet and James Taylor (Mexico), and dreamed about my Bon vacation in 49 DAYS. And cleaned the pool while in it. Was HOT, but a perfect summertime Sunday.

No rain yet, but according to the weather channel, 10 days out, it's morning sunshine and temps in the low to mid 90's, then rain in the afternoon/evenings.

BUT, we have a Lauderdale trip to look forward to. Weekend after next.

Tooth Guy at Venice is actually a Professor and a Marine Biologist. Cool. Larry's listening to him, their flags even got tangled yesterday but tooth guy found 5 megs and Larry just found..."the usual". But Tooth Guy tells Larry to look for shapes. Um....this morning he had to work and couldn't find his wallet at 6:00 am. I put one FOOT off the bed and saw the shape of his wallet on his bedside table. "Um, this looks like a wallet to me!" lol But then...I was up, no going back so I turned on the coffee.

Ready for rain, and dinner's already planned. I made and marinated steak kabobs, have corn on the cob ready to go in, and baby red potatoes. I'll get two little ones, with Ms. Butter and pepper.

And tonight starts SHARK NIGHT on Discovery Channel! Whoohoo. lol

Let's enjoy this Sunday before Monday. Have fun with what's left of it.

Boy did we sleep in this morning Guy actually slept from 8pm to 9am --- guess he was really tired!
We've got grocery shopping today and then puttering around the house till the sun comes out. Back to the ocean for me!!!! It's so funny because G has been trying to get me into swimming for years (jogging has always been my thing, then rollerblading) now I'm thinking he's wishing he'd stayed quiet! I just never thought it would be so challenging - I love a good challenge

We're off to Costco for chickens for Rasta

I've been away from the computer almost all weekend with a quick peek in Saturday morning.
I met my BFF at Ft. Desoto State Park at 9:30 this morning for a walk and a much needed chat. We finished up around 1:30pm. I am sore and sunburned.
Before BFF Cindy showed up I took a spin down to the south most end of the park for a look around and found lots of wading birds, a racoon and lots of osprey. It had rained earlier and was still lightly sprinkling out when I took these pictures.

Where the hell is everyone?

Wow!!! Only 24 posts on a thread... makes me wonder what our slowest day was??
Guy and I had a nice day. Gotta love saving a couple of bucks on chickens only to spend a $100 or so extra on items you didn't know you needed... ahhh Costco!!! But, we're set on meats and carrots and broccoli for a month.
I got a packet of tri tip steaks (very long cuts but thick) and marinated a couple of them (with chicken) for dinner. The marinade was YUMMY...

soy
molassas
sugar
dry mustard
water
oil
The only thing I put on the meat while it was cooking was a bit of ground red pepper The steak tasted like butter
All in all it was a nice day. Not quite as planned but a nice day in the end.
