A mechanic was removing a cylinder-head from the motor of a Harley motorcycle when he spotted a well-known cardiologist in his shop.
The cardiologist was there waiting for the service manager to come take a look at his bike when the mechanic shouted across the garage, 'Hey Doc, want to take a look at this?'

The cardiologist, a bit surprised, walked over to where the mechanic was working on the motorcycle. The mechanic straightened up, wiped his hands on a rag and asked, 'So Doc, look at this engine. I open its heart, take the valves out, repair any damage, and then put them back in, and when I finish, it works just like new. So how come I make $39,675 a year and you get the really big bucks ($1,695,759) when you and I are doing basically the same work?'

The cardiologist paused, smiled and leaned over, then whispered to the mechanic... 'because i do it with the engine running.

Here's a link to some "old" funnies - it was 2 years ago today that I had my "re"birthday and am still SOOOO grateful to all of you that walked through that time with me.

Here's a link to all the jokes you guys sent...
http://www.oldbonairetalk.com/newsgroup/messages/23830/290918.html

And Kelly - it was your comment after the MedicineNet article that has stuck with me... "I asked my friends to send me jokes".... omg... that's US !!! LOL!

And ROY - I was confused and thought it was you that had said that BUT I will always remember your joke...don't know why but I will.

Anywho - 2 years and still doing great. Best thing I ever did, well next to marrying my hubby...and being on BT of course and meeting such wonderful people. When I get the correct download cable for my camera I'll post a few pictures taken with the "puppies" last night.

Have a GREAT day

A Russian arrives in New York City as a new immigrant to the United States . He stops the first person he sees walking down the street and says, 'Thank you Mr. American for letting me in this country , giving me housing, food stamps, free medical care, and free education!'

The passerby says, 'You are mistaken, I am Mexican.'

The man goes on and encounters another passerby. ' Thank you for having such a beautiful country here in America !'

The person says, 'I not American, I Vietnamese.'

The new arrival walks further, and the next person he sees he stops, shakes his hand and says, 'Thank you for the wonderful America !'

That person puts up his hand and says, 'I am from Middle East , I am not American!'

He finally sees a nice lady and asks, 'Are you an American?'

She says , 'No, I am from Africa !'

Puzzled, he asks her, 'Where are all the Americans?'

The African lady checks her watch and says...'Probably at work!'

This one is for RA's neighbor.

Childbirth at 65
With all the new technology regarding fertility recently, a 65-year-old friend of mine was able to give birth. When she was discharged from the hospital and went home, I went to visit.
'May I see the new baby?' I asked
'Not yet,' She said 'I'll make coffee and we can visit for a while first.'
Thirty minutes had passed, and I asked, 'May I see the new baby now?'
'No, not yet,' She said.
After another few minutes had elapsed,
I asked again, 'May I see the baby now?'
'No, not yet,' replied my friend.
Growing very impatient, I asked, 'Well, when can I see the baby?'
'WHEN HE CRIES!' she told me.
'WHEN HE CRIES?' I demanded. 'Why do I have to wait until he CRIES?'
'BECAUSE I FORGOT WHERE I PUT HIM, O.K.?'

Okay I get to join in for a bit this morning hope everyone is having a good morning.

I borrowed a few for today so I can't take credit.

A man walks into a restaurant with a full-grown ostrich behind him. The waitress asks them for their orders. The man says, 'A hamburger, fries and a coke,' and turns to the ostrich, 'What's yours?'

'I'll have the same,' says the ostrich.

A short time later the waitress returns with the order.
'That will be $9.40 please,' and the man reaches into his pocket and pulls out the exact change for payment.

The next day, the man and the ostrich come again and the man says, 'A hamburger, fries and a coke.'

The ostrich says, 'I'll have the same.'

Again the man reaches into his pocket and pays with exact change.

This becomes routine until the two enter again. 'The usual?' asks the waitress.

'No, this is Friday night, so I will have a steak, baked potato and a salad,' says the man.

'Same,' says the ostrich.

Shortly the waitress brings the order and says, 'That will be $32.62.'

Once again the man pulls the exact change out of his pocket and places it on the table.

The waitress cannot hold back her curiosity any longer. 'Excuse me, sir. How do you manage to always come up with the exact change in your pocket every time?'

'Well,' says the man, 'several years ago I was cleaning the attic and found an old lamp. When I rubbed it, a Genie appeared and offered me two wishes. My first wish was
that if I ever had to pay for anything, I would just put my hand in my pocket and the right amount of money would always be there.'

'That's brilliant!' says the waitress. 'Most people would ask for a million dollars or something, but you'll always be as rich as you want for as long as you live!'

'That's right. Whether it's a gallon of milk or a Rolls Royce, the exact money is always there,' says the man..

The waitress asks, 'What's with the ostrich?'

The man sighs, pauses and answers, 'My second wish was for a tall chick with a big butt and long legs who agrees with everything I say.'

****

A guy is reading his paper when his wife walks up behind him and smacks him on the back of the head with a frying pan.
He asks, "What was that for?"
She says, "I found a piece of paper in your pocket with 'Betty Sue' written on it."
He says, "Jeez, honey, remember last week when I went to the track? 'Betty Sue' was the name of the horse I went there to bet on."
She shrugs and walks away.
Three days later he's reading his paper when she walks up behind him and smacks him on the back of the head again with the frying pan.
He asks, "What was that for?"
She answers, "Your horse called."

Why Women Lie?

One day, when a seamstress was sewing while sitting close to a river, her thimble fell into the river. When she cried out, the Lord appeared and asked, 'My dear child, why are you crying?' The seamstress replied that her thimble had fallen into the water and that she needed it to help her husband in making a living for their family. The Lord dipped His hand into the water and pulled up a golden thimble set with sapphires.

lies1

'Is this your thimble?' the Lord asked The seamstress replied, 'No.'
The Lord again dipped into the river.

He held out a golden thimble studded with rubies.

lies2

'Is this your thimble?' the Lord asked. Again, the seamstress replied, 'No.'
The Lord reached down again and came up with a leather thimble.

lies3

'Is this your thimble ?' the Lord asked. The seamstress replied, 'Yes.' The Lord was pleased with the woman's honesty and gave her all three thimbles to keep, and the seamstress went home happy.

Some years later, the seamstress was walking with her husband along the riverbank, and her husband fell into the river and disappeared under the water. When she cried out, the Lord again appeared and asked her, 'Why are you crying?' 'Oh Lord, my husband has fallen into the river!'

The Lord went down into the water and came up with George Clooney.

'Is this your husband?' the Lord asked.

lies4

'Yes,' cried the seamstress.

The Lord was furious.
'You lied! That is an untruth!'
The seamstress replied,'Oh, forgive me, my Lord.
It is a misunderstanding.
You see, if I had said 'no' to George Clooney, you would have come up with Brad Pitt.

lies5

Then if I said 'no' to him, you would have come up with my husband. Had I then said 'yes,' you would have given me all three. Lord, I'm not in the best of health and would not be able to take care of all three husbands, so THAT'S why I said 'yes' to George Clooney.
And so the Lord let her keep him.

The moral of this story is:
Whenever a woman lies, it's for a good and honorable reason, and in the best interest of others. That's our story, and we're sticking to it.
Signed,
All Us Women, Amen

PS, thinking of you and sending lots of hugs.

Thanks for all the blueberry advice! I know have muffins baking and I am making the smoothies with yogurt ice and LOTS of blueberries. They are really tasty but I am sick of them already!

Here is a funny but true story, I think I am related to Cynde!

It was summer and Rajan was around 3, I was in the grocery store and he was standing next to me hanging on for dear life. I had athletic shorts on and Rajan reached up the leg of the shorts and grabbed my undies and yanked them down! He wouldn't let go and pulled them down one side to about my knee! I wanted to turn invisible to say the least! One more reason to go commando!

Ok so we took furbaby pics last night and I want to share. Sorry - no kitty cat shots.

Here's my "old man" Spec - JRT and/or Smooth Fox Hair Terrier - either way he's about 25 lbs...heffer

me and Spec

Now here's Mozart and Spec's sister Boo
mozie and boo

So Nia isn't really keen on dancing but I can get her to do it every now and then
me and Nia

But Mozzie LOVES to dance
me and mozie

This is Nia's favorite trick
nia sitting up

And this give you an idea about the size of the "big puppies" versus their much older and grumpier fur brother
me and mozie and spec

Spec and Boo are about 25lbs a piece and are 8 years old

Nia and Mozart are over 110lbs a piece and Nia (the black dog) is 19 months old and Mozart (the black and white dog) is 13 months old.
