In early April I was told the cancer had returned and is terminal.

I have gone a quest to find a chance for a cure an it is not good.

Two weeks ago I entered hospice.

I have had a great 72 year run, have a wonderful wife and still madly in in love with her. We have 3 great children and 7 grandchildren. Want some quality life with them

LOve to all

John, I am so sad to read this, and have tears streaming...I was wondering what had kept you away from BT for the last few months, now it is obvious.

Everyone else has said it so elequently, that I don't have any more additional words, except that I want to THANK YOU for your presense on BT, your happy and optomistic posts, and friendship you have given all of us. You have certainly given the fight your all. Please know that BT is sending out huge hugs and positive vibrations to you and your family at this time. I hope the next few weeks or months will be calm for you.

John, I was lucky enough to meet you when you came to my gallery with your wife. I'm sorry, I don't remember her name. I should, you were so proud of her beautiful artwork and had her bring it in to share w/ me. And it is BEAUTIFUL. You came in and sat down, it was like we had known each other for so long. Yet, I was busy. I didn't have time, or maybe I didn't take the time, to sit and just enjoy your company. I truly wish I had, the other people (customers) were just that...other people. Not truly touching my life, as everyone on BT has. I'm sorry. I've thought about that day many times and wished that I could get it back. Because I want to sit w/ you and talk to you. You drove so far out of your way to meet me. That makes me feel very special. I thank you for that.
My thoughts, prayers, all of it, are with you and your family.

Some of its magic,
Some of its tragic,
But I've had a good life anyway.

Keep your head up, you are loved.

I've been contemplating all day what to say here because every time I read this I get teary eyed.

Most of what I feel has been echoed here several times over here.

You have made this world a better place and that is quite an accomplishment. My wish is that peace and love fill each and every day for you and your family.

John,

My heart aches for you. I hope you are able to enjoy the time with your family, sharing experiences and memories.

You are in my prayers. I wish you and your family peace.

Hugs,
-Lisa

I hope the song below helps you and your family through this very difficult time.

When I get where I'm going, on the far side of the sky
The first thing that I'm gonna do is spread my wings and fly.

I'm gonna land beside a lion, and run my fingers through his mane.
Or I might find out what it's like to ride a drop of rain.

Yeah when I get where I'm going, there'll be only happy tears.
I will shed the sins and struggles I have carried all these years.
And I'll leave my heart wide open, I will love and have no fear.
Yeah when I get where I'm going don't cry for me down here.

I'm gonna walk with my grand daddy, and he'll match me step for step.
And I'll tell him how I missed him every minute since he left.
Then I'll hug his neck.

Yeah when I get where I'm going, there'll be only happy tears.
I will shed the sins and struggles I have carried all these years.
And I'll leave my heart wide open, I will love and have no fear.
Yeah when I get where I'm going don't cry for me down here.

So much pain and so much darkness in this world we stumble through
All these questions I can't answer, so much work to do.

But when I get where I'm going, and I see my maker's face
I'll stand forever in the light of his amazing grace.

Yeah when I get where I'm going, there'll be only happy tears
I will love and have no fear, when I get where I'm going
Yeah when I get where I'm going
