I'm still here...I hope you went to bed. I just accept that I will not go back to sleep if it's after 3am. I've been just reading strange things on peoples "blogs"...amazing what you can find!! If I went to sleep I'm afraid I'd have nightmares after that!!LOL

Morning PS1 and elaine if you're still up. I'll take a cup from the Brew Master, thank you.
I've been up since 6 when the cat ran through the room yowelling. That means "I just peed, I'm up and ready to play. GET UP!" :-)

Terry and I went to see WALL-E yesterday. It's a cute movie.

I haven't been to the movies in YEARS!!! I'll get to see that one when it comes out on DVD tho. That's cool that yall still have "Dates"...I think G & I need to have a designated "Date Night":-)
G got some movies the other nite for Olivia. Yesterday we were watching "Good Luck Chuck"...sounds like a good movie. OMG!!! It should be rated XXX!!! It got turned off, QUICK!!!

I guess you have to preview the movie before showing it. . . . Did Chuck get lucky?
Terry got us our Christmas present yesterday. Tickets to the Phantom of the Opera in the second box from the stage in the Mezzanine. So COOL!
What are you up to today?

Good Morning Everyone.

I'm tired and not feeling motivated to get moving today.

PS...I'm thinking about you....
Good decision on the Olivia thing..you'd be surprised how many parents let their kids watch ANYTHING or don't even know what they are watching!!

Have a beautiful day all...:-)

Good morning, girls and anyone coming in later :-)

I'm having a grand morning. Bits and Bubbles are fighting over a bull winkie toy and so early in the AM I might add. It's gonna be a good day. I'm just waiting for Rob to hear this & get up and unleash RAW on them :-) Your daughter might have to go in the X pen for time out!

Somebody shoot me. I don't do coffee but might go do something liquor LOL!

Morning Donna. Sounds like it's a day for relaxing for you. That's always a good thing.
PS, I looked at your new painting on your blog. I like what I see so far. You are really talented.
I wanted to show you what my sister did years ago. She graduated with a degree in art, painted for a while - now she does not paint. Anyway she did this in pencil.

Good morning all. We're moving very slow here! A trip to the walk in clinic is probably on our agenda today. We're both fighting lots of congestion and coughing up yellow gunk...... in need of a Z Pac. We only got in 15 dives in 7 days this past week due to John's cold, and now it appears he's passed it on to me!

Hi Kobs and Gail. Feel better, Gail!

Actually I have to teach at church, so I need to get moving...the rest of the day will be whatever I chose...catching up on housework, etc....

Happy Sunday all! :-)

Good morning ladies and all others that follow. My city slicker bride and our equally lazy (kidding here) spawn (spawn=kids) are finally waking up.

Linda, your sister should resume painting. I hope you and Terry enjoy the show. If you want, I can send Wilbur and Riley to join your cat. Those two nuts were chasing each other and play fighting at around 5am. What a joy it is hearing over 40 lbs of CAT running from the second floor to the first, chasing each other all around the first floor then down into the basement. The boys are now crashed, Wilbur on the rug by the front door, Riley on the back of the couch.

Elane, the coffee this morning is sumatran, are you sure you want to go back to sleep.

P.S., remember when using an I.V. drip, let the coffee cool a wee bit:-) Oh yeah, click away from the wierdo's blogs, some of them are sicker than you and I and............THAT'S SCARY:-)

RUN BITS, RUN BUBBLETTE!!!!! Kobi, this coffee is about as good as liquor.

Donna, have two cups, it's okay, I'll make more.

OKAY, BREAKFAST IS GOING ON THE TABLE!!!!

Scrambled eggs (yes Pat, I cooked yours in bacon fat)
Maple cured bacon
Cinnamon Rolls (cheated, bought these at our favorite bakery)
chunked cantaloupe with fresh picked sliced strawberries and blueberries, whipped cream can be available - if you whip it. Leave me enough cream for my travel coffee tho:-)

Gotta eat then open the shop. Benny and I are going to see Hell Boy after I get out of work. I probably better take a lot of hankies with me, I have a feeling it is a tear jerker.

PATRICK, WAKE UP BRO!!!!

Gail,
Hope that you get to the doc and get on some antibiotics soon; will surely help. Sorry that you guys are sick.
When Rob and I returned from BON, in May, we both were sick for almost 3 weeks :-( Price to pay I guess for flying and going to paradise. Thankfully it hit once home and didn't slow us on BON. Anyway, take care of yourselves!!!

Linda, that is beautiful!! I agree w/ Tom, she should start painting again!!:-)

Kobi, it's the weekend, there are no designated times!! Go for it! Don't let Rob be yellin' at my daughter...She should just come home. I'm always up, she wouldn't bother me!!:-)

Donna, have a good day!! Relax and definitely do whatever YOU want to do.:-)

Tom, some of those blogs where scary, yet funny. One girl thinks that no one can see her blog and is at this moment wishing that she had not drank all them pina coladas w/ beer!!! I wonder if her boyfriend ever came home and held her hair for her???
I may have to go back to that one later and see how she made out!!LOL
I did keep going back to it and making the number of views go up. She's gonna get back on there and freak out!!!!

Yummo.....Tom. I want you to cook for me one day!! Can you be back on BON oh say May 2009!?!? :-) Alright PS, That's exactly 9 months 2 weeks and THREE days LOL!

Everyone is fed, including us. Turkey bacon, eggs and hashbrowns for us. Canned ID, KD and ground turkey breast for the backyardigins!

Rob woke to eat but didn't take time to give the girls RAW (random arse whippings LOL!) SO now he's off to shower and then we'll probably see what today holds. Wallyworld, for sure, then maybe ride up in the mountains. Another hot, humid day...shew!!!

Linda, I agree! Your sister has a talent she should get back into. Thanks for sharing her beautiful piece of work.

PS, sounds like some interesting folk you ran across. Some people are amazing aren't they?
I didn't yell at your daughter BUT I told her there was REALLY wonderful family near Uncle Jack that didn't mind if she went to live with them if she continued to get outta hand. I told her you have lizards and deer and bears! Calypso, however, might mind her coming down....LOL!

She is just wound in the mornings. I mean you know what to the wall. Thankfully it's in spurts and her battery does run out quickly... LOL! I wish I had her energy each morning. I'd be kicking arse and taking or getting on the treadmill :-)
Eating lifestyle changes brought about 4 lbs. lost for me this week. I only did the treadmill ONE day though so I s*ck :-(

Hey, Tom....let us know how the movie is. We want to see it as I loved the first one.

Ewwwwww, this is my third fish pic, I swear:
1

Timmmmy, thanks for the ID, I really wanted that shell, but would never kill something for its shell. Will have to find the difference in a conch and a whelk. That dude was huge.

Dan tells me that in the "Boneyard" they are empty and plentiful, he has several at his house.

We met the guy yesterday who NAMED the boneyard, he's been diving there so many years. lol He's this bohemian kinda guy, long haired, slim and tanned and in his 50's, and we know him by sight (and he knows us) because we're always there so much. He promised to lead Larry to the promised land today. lol Maybe Larry will find out his name. To us, he's "tooth guy".

Do you know I STILL haven't been out today? Cleaned and swam, ate light, took a shower, took off my nail polish and cleaned my nails up really good...and finally, at 12:30 I'm ready to go.

Crab legs tonight. Yah baby. Artichokes too. And maybe, some BREAD and BUTTER! lol I have worked out hard, and even on Friday we had a fire drill, which meant down 8 flights of stairs and back up, so my legs were shaky (still feelin' that!), then diving yesterday, swimming today and workout. Yes, I deserve some BREAD! :-)~

Why oh why can't today be Saturday? Weekends aren't long enough, but I still have a day ahead. So do you all. :-)

Tom, you crack me up with your alter-ego! I would love to hear your thunderous herd as they tear around the house. 40 lbs!? Wow that's a lot of cat/s.
I've been inspired by all you creative people, and have decided to start making my bears again. Hope my car-pool-tunnel doesn't return too soon. It always stops me in my tracks.
Sounds like everyone is having a busy Sunday. I'm going back to mine, and will pop back in way later.

Linda, first of all I am so very happy to read that you are back making bears:-):-):-) That 40 lbs is divided between two cats. You do not want to be in their path when they are chasing each other as they are not the most agile:-)

Tom, Nope, bet he has buddies too! :-) Better check your booties in the morning to be sure, never know where he and his friends may turn up. We got this house iguana in the back palm tree who falls out of the palm tree every once in a while, doesn't hurt him, but it sure is funny to see. Oh, if it rains, and you hear "Help Me, Help Me" in the back, it is just the parrot next door, he is quite the character!

Got home a bit ago from the Wallyworld ride. It's stinkin hot outside! Thankfully the store was cool and NOT crazy busy as it's not the end of the month food stamp rush. Those peeps will be there next week and I won't!

Anyhoo, we left $450 later. YEOUCH....I nearly *&^% on that one. Mr. Fitness went with me and he decided to buy some free weights from their fitness area. Ten 25 lb. plates later we had $260 worth of olympic weights with handles. Sheesh....he needs them and he HAULED them into the house & down to the basement LOL!

We have a pro gym in our basement and LORD knows when it comes time to sell; the gym conveys LOL!

First thing I want to say is "WHERE ARE MY FLORIDA GIRLS??!!!" Isn't is FABULOUS outside??? Maybe it's because of all of the rain we've had, I don't know, but today is GREAT!!!!:-)

I am at home. Mom & Dad are fine, they need their "alone" time as much as they can get it right now. They are still making memories.:-)

What was she thinking?????
OK, went to Kayla's...her washer has been broke for months, I didn't want it fixed. It's my "sure thing" that she has to come see me. Well, I found out today that if there is any water running, anywhere, she has no water pressure. Well, the last load she did in the washer, months ago, she took a shower while it was running. So, she gets out of the shower, the washer's still full of water and hasn't finished. WELL, she just turned it off because "IT WAS GOING TO EXPLODE!!!!!!!!" I turned it on today, w/ lots of bleach in it, and it is working just fine!!! That girl just cracks me up!!! There's nothing wrong w/ the washer...and I did tell her that if she runs water while it's running, it's gonna take a while. Now, I won't see her all the time like I did, but, she's happy and doing laundry as I type!:-)

Elaine, I never did go back to sleep. I forget that you are on West Coast time...Still, you were up really late!! Glad you got some sleep.:-)

Debbie and her 19 days...she thinks she's all that!!!
Shhhhhhh....there are no frogs near your place!!! Well, you don't ever see them, you just hear them!!!LOL
Kobi, it's all good!! I will not let you anywhere that there may be a frog!!! PROMISE!!!:-)

We're just hanging around this afternoon - watching dumb sci-fi movies, I cut out a teddy bear (a pink one), and Terry is avoiding cutting the lawn.

PS1, I had only a small amount of this fabric, so the bear will be small, and the mohair is so soft I could "bearly" make myself throw out the tiny left over scraps. I love fabrics! You can tell by the stash in the spare bedroom/sewing room.

Hey PS and Linda, Florida girl checkin' in on a GORG-A-MOUS summer day. :-) My nails and toenails are done, even got a massage, eyebrows done, and a leg wrap thingie. Lol, love the treatment! This weekend I got to dive and play with fish, have fun in the sun in the pool, get everything done, and take care of MWA!

Crablegs, I already said that, are ready to go in, soon as I hear from Larry. Wine time, and I know it's not 5:00 here yet, but it's Time. :-) And time to get back in the pool. :-) (Water's 88, almost HOT!, feels good at night.)

Cheers to health and happiness and sunshine, to everyone. And love hugs, too. :-)

Morning all1 Just waking up here, late night last night...but it was all good. Our friend has had a tough week with his mom passing, all of the siblings are fighting, no one wants to agree on a funeral...ugh...poor guy. His mom was 88, and agoraphobic, hadn't been out of her bedroom in 15 years! She was convinced she was never gonna die, so made NO plans...nada...zip...zilch. Horrible selfish thing to put your family behind through. She did have her estate in a trust, but other than that, nothing. She has a big estate with six Arabian horses, 3 people living on the property (for 25 years), caretakers. Left no information about what to do with them, the horses, everything. The house is infested with three bee hives.

So, we got him nice and drunk...lol...he did feel better after talking to us until 1AM.

Watching deadliest catch.

BC, sorry your friend's mom left things in such chaos. My BFF's mom is going to do that too. She just got back and her mom will never be able to leave the hospital or nursing home - she has to have dialysis 5 times a week, but she refuses to even do a living will. :-(

I forgot one thing I wanted to tell y'all, my passport came yesterday in the mail. Yay! I only applied for it last Thursday, so things are moving fast. Never could find that Channel 8 news story. (Channel 8 cameraman was in there filming me getting my p'port done.) Maybe they'll save it for a rainy day? lol

Kathy, I just don't understand why people do that. I know that facing the ultimate is not pleasant, but to see the fighting, anger, and frustration left behind is just heartbreaking. Peter and his partner would visit his mom, and they had to stand under her 'balcony' off her bedroom to talk. She wouldn't come out of her bedroom, and no one but the caretaker woman who had been with her for 25 years was allowed in the bedroom. I told him he needed to write a blog, or make a movie it was so strange. He's the only one living near, all the other siblings are all over the world.

Geesh, BC. Sounds like your friends mom's situation was the deadliest catch. I don't understand people older than 50 or with kids and without a plan. Even if it's just a spoken plan. Terry and I have no children without fur, so Ashlee or any fur friend we have at the time of our death is our only worry. We want to be cremated and put in Reef Balls. http://www.eternalreefs.com/ It's a cool concept.

Good luck to your friend.

Kathy, I bet you look marvelous! I need to do something with my toes and nails. Someday.

Another Florida gal checking in!

John and I have spent practically the whole day in the computer room - catching up on E-Mail, BT, gaming, news, and all that! :-) The computers at Chat N Browse are dogs compared to our speed here - so we're delighted to be back in our efficient communication mode! And other than walking one spin around the pool, I've been indoors all day!

I have 5 piles of laundry to do. The whites are in the washer, colors, darks, towels, and nicer clothes lined up and ready to go - and they won't all get done today! The dive gear is soaking in the bathtub!

Kathy - I had just replaced my passport too, and the check in gal at AA reminded me I still needed to sign it...... But I forgot in the rush, and security wouldn't let me through until I signed it. So make sure you sign it nicely on a table, and not on hubby's back while standing in line with a shakey scrall!

You done good with the consolation of a friend, Cyn. When my Dad died, my Mom was hospitalized with congestive heart failure, so there were 11 different thoughts on how to make the arrangements. Smartly, we did them both at the same time and less than 3 months later, Mom joined Dad where the majority decided to place them. My older brother is placed where he adamently wanted Dad to be..... So it worked out I guess. But in you friend's Mom's place - I can't imagine having that much of an estate and never leaving my bedroom. :-( What good is all the "stuff" if you aren't enjoying life with them?

Vid of eternal reefs

Gail, 11 different "thoughts"? eee gad! On the agoraphobia, she came done on christmas day each year, that was the ONLY time she left her bedroom. I agree that what use is it? she did have an organic orange orchard, that was quite productive, that one of the caretakers managed. I guess also that she was a frequent QVC shopper....one roomed was FILLED with unopened boxes...I said "ebay"...they have quite a job on thier hands for sure.

Linda - You are so right - and John are I are a guilty party in that we've TALKED about that living will and trust about twice a year and never get around to it! Since he's a Southerner, and I'm a transported Yankee, we've never really agreed to what we want to do. It's on my list of things to do before the end of the year!

And I met with our financial advisor in June, and she's in partnership with an accountant and law group, and she'll keep reminding me of our goals too!

Linda, I want to do that, too. So whoever is left when I pass, please make sure someone throws me in a mermaid house at the 2nd reef at Angel City.

Well, Linda, yes my toes and fingernails DO look marvelous. lol I love asking my tech is he's gay or straight - which matters not the least, except in how I respond to them. hehe They all SEEM so gay, but Wayne is not. He did everything but my massage, Tran did that. Man, she knows how to dig into muscles and release the stored up acids. I feel free as a....fish. Can't forget playing nip and touch yesterday with those wonderful fish at Venice, then I forgot one time what I was doing, and was holding a fish lightly, and it wiggled out of my hand offended. :-) But came right back.

PS, yes those are "our" fish, grown bigger, but they still love to play, nip at hair, peck at you in a loving way, come right up to your mask and look in, and turn over stuff and lead us to teeth. :-) I don't think I've ever met such friendly fish as at Venice. Can't wait for Lauderdale though, tarpon and turtles and nurse sharks and angels and...everything we see in the Caribbean. On endless shore dives.

Got our room (same place, PS) for 84.00 a night, with late check out at 4:00. Wanna come down?

Larry's gone to Target to buy some plastic barrels big enough to be gear rinsing tanks. We always feel so bad hogging the showers at Venice and Lauderdale. But, we do get to meet people there, always fun. I even left some teeth scattered on the rocks for kids to find. Larry did that today, too.

OK, after this last load of laundry,it IS pool time, and music time.

Tom, oh yah, crablegs in Bon, what could be more beautiful? (Do they SELL crablegs in Bon?) Can't wait to meet, finally.

BC, I'm sorry your friend is going through all of this...You are a good friend to be there for him, to help him at least relax for a while.
I just talked to my mom. Today was supposed to be a day to do NOTHING!!!! Well, my cousin, her husband and MIL came over and stayed for hours. Then a guy that Dad used to work w/ came over. Luckily there were things that needed to be done around the house and these people did them. BUT, Mom & Dad can not comprehend that if they do not want company, they should SAY NO! They feel that if anyone comes over, they need to entertain them. Now both of them are exhausted. I just had a long talk w/ my mother that if I have to move in there now, I will. I will be the one in charge of EVERYTHING. I explained to her that there are going to be people wanting to see dad. That is just a fact. Limit the visits to 1 hour. If they don't want anyone there, SAY NO! Let people help if they ask. I'm just so worried about them when I'm not there.
I have a sister and 2 brothers. WHERE ARE THEY?????
Anyway, BC, I can so relate to the stress that comes from this. I am just thankful that all of the "after" things have been taken care of. Hopefully my mom won't go through any problems. Well, she won't, I'M HERE!!!!!

I think it's really cool that people already know what they want to be "after". My problem is that I grew up with my Mom visiting graves as the normal thing to do. I was 10 when my Grandpa died, and we always swung by Maplewood Cemetary when in the area to visit "Dad". We kids were sent to get the little water buckets, and Mom would water the flowers on her Dad's grave. And we'd visit the graves of all her aunts and uncles, etc..... That's all in Connecticut.

John has 2 pieces of real estate in his family's plot in Georgia for himself and his wife - me? - that have been there since 1964. I certainly don't want to be planted in Georgia, but I don't really belong in Connecticut after 33 years away..... Who am I? Where do I belong? Should I be 'planted' like I grew up thinking was the norm...... Or should I get fried and tossed to the wind!!!!!!!? There's too much to decide!

Should we change the name of this site to "After Bonaire...Where do we go, how do we deal?"
LOL

I'm sorry, I just have to say that...we are just all going through so much right now.

I don't know what I want. G's gonna be a Reef Ball, Kayla wants to be buried at sea and eaten by sharks...I guess I can be part of the beach where they go?

I want to be mixed into the cement that they use to make a Tiki Bar on the beach where Kayla and G are going!!!:-)

Eric and I both want to get cremated....he wants to get tossed in Yellow Pines campground in Yosemite, and I want to get tossed(big surprise!) in the ocean. Although I've warned Eric that I'm putting him in a mason jar and taking him to the opera(nooooo!).

On our last night on Bonaire this time, we got ice cream and walked to the Sand Dollar shore to watch the sunset. Eric saw the Reef Balls and said, "Honey, would you like that?".

We're remiss on the will stuff, too. Especially bad because we're not married.

Ugh. This stuff keeps coming up lately, doesn't it?

PS, I've been in the position of being gatekeeper for my mom lately, too. Weird, isn't it?

Gail, it bothers me immensely, that my mom wanted to be buried in a plot at her church in AL. I'm not in AL, and though we bought a great headstone and planters and a pink casket, someone has to go take care of it, and nobody left in AL can. So my aunts and uncles do it, once or twice a year, and I'm sure, curse us, her children, who can't, or they think, won't. I just don't want to go back. My mom is not there, she's waiting, not languishing, but it will just seem like a minute, and she'll come when we are all ready to go.

I am NEVER going to leave a marker of any kind for someone to take care of and be responsible for or feel guilty about. I want to go without a trace, and just have my ashes join the blue.

I never want anyone to be sad at my passing, just to know I'm gone before, and I'll be there waiting. But my body belongs u/w, not buried to rot. (that's a harsh thing to say, but I truly cannot stand over my mom's grave without thinking that way, thinking of her that way). When my spirit leaves, just leave my body's ashes in the most perfect u/w place I've ever known. And that, is an unmarked mermaid house at Angel City, Bonaire, N.A.

xx

Crablegs are done. Gotta go. Love you all. :-)

Cynde, thanks for being their for your friend. I know that means more to him than you will ever know. That time is stressful and more so when their are things undone with arrangements.
Truth be told, are we ever really ready?!?

Rob and I are blessed with no children but we have things and a multi million dollar business that's 89 years old so I had to worry about US and what to do in that event :-) We will always also have furkids. Won't go into details but whoever our furkids are, at that time, will not want for anything. NO, it's not like the recent Leona doggie dough 10+ mill. thing...LOL! But they will be OK for their entire life on earth.

We have siblings; Rob two and me one and various nieces. This all reminds me that now that Rylan is here I need to make some changes! She deserves EVERYTHING LOL!

PS, I know your parents need their time together and they probably will have to learn to say "NO" as their time together is important as is time with you kids.

Linda, your new pink bear sounds like it's going to be fabulous!!! I envy you guys with talent.
I'm only good at whining and shopping or both at the same time....LOL!

We're back again. This time we went to the Perogi Grill for some Polish food - Terry's people. :-) We're both so full and have enough leftovers for lunch and dinner tomorrow.

Another thought on the after life. When my Dad passed away in 1980 my sister and I went back to Mass. to take care of business. We knew he wanted to be cremated, so that's what we had done. Then we decided to take his ashes to Walden Pond and scatter them in the water. He worked at Wellesley College and would often take us for paddle boat rides on the pond and in the winter we would go ice skating there. Dad was a practical man - no marker or plot to take care of only good memories.
Here's a good memory of Dad (he didn't drink).
booth
He had just finished painting the neighbors pantry. They moved all their bottles to the kitchen table while he had his tea.

Another funny about the neighbor - his name is Tom Mix. Not the actor, but a professor at the college and an inventor.

HH - are you really Tom Mix?

Kobi, We came home from dinner the other night and found the whole roll of toilet paper unrolled on the floor. And two cats with big round innocent eyes...

PS, it's wierd...in all the appts I've gone to with my mom lately, half the people talk to me instead of my mom. I keep reminding them that she's in charge of herself, not me...hate it when they act like she's not all there. Every once and a while she lets somebody have it for acting that way...makes me laugh!

Same thing happened here not long ago. An the cost of TP's nothing to sneeze at either LOL!
A square on every other stair step and then the roll was found down here in the living room :-) There's only ONE guilty party lately as the older girls don't care about that crap LOL! Bubbles was busted as there was a piece hanging from her mouth LMAO!!!

I am sure RosAnne's gonna have some good stories from her reunion LOL! I just know :-) I'll put my bail money back in the bank tomorrow after she's checked in LOL!

Should we turn our own page or run with this? Never sure what to do on Brad's days off LOL!

Linda, that thing is HUGE! At first I thought they'd killed it, but I guess it's still alive, from the way they're handling it...I feel better about that.

OK, here's my dumb for the day. I'm working on two computers til I get everything transfered to the new one; two mouses(mice?), two keyboards: what a mess. I couldn't understand why the mouse wasn't working...I'd put my hand of my PedEgg by mistake.....

B"CB"G, LOL, from what all you've said about your mom, I can see her doing that!!! Next time tell her I said "YOU GO GIRL!!!"

Kobi, Bubbles would LOVE it here!! I leave paper towels EVERYWHERE!! When I paint I have to have them. And for some reason, I've always had to have something in my left hand, held tight, when I draw or paint...then I leave them somewhere. Drives G nuts!!!!LOL

Forty is barely out of the womb, Dude.

And I'm envious of the eyeliner thing. I think it's practical...you're good for life, and no goopy eyes in your mask.

I'm loving the eyeliner and lips for sure :-)
NO WAY is Eric 50!!! There's no way; he's looking great!!!

I just pray 40 won't bother me too much but I have a feeling it's all in my head! It's just a number and I need to make the best of the first year and live the rest of the 40's to the fullest! Life goes too fast!!! February 09 I'm going to Cancun with my Mom and a friend of hers and her daughter. We're all the same ages which is cool; Mom's are 61 and us girls will be 40. Girl trip with NO MEN!!! Ought to be noteworthy!

Hi All, Well, family reunion time is over. It was nice, but it is also nice to have my house back again. I will say that having the entire family is interesting to say the least without getting into too much here. Lots of good food, drinks, and pool time was had by all.

Speaking of the PedEgg, I had mine sitting on the side table in the porch and my 27 y.o. son asked me about it. He asked if it worked or not. His wife was sitting next to him. They both tried it and now are hooked! And he thought he had no dry skin on his foot! After he got done using it, I told him to open the thingie up and boy was he surprised at what he found! Then his wife tried it and I bet she already went out and got one too.

Evening Everyone!! I'm sorry to have missed all this shananigans :-) :-) BTrs are surely special!
Rasta and I met Guy at the beach this morning (I loaded up the chairs and a pot of coffee) and our day just kept going in the right direction. We sat there for a few hours just talking and watching the ocean, then just sort of hung out together. I made a pot of beans to take to the Enchilada Cookoff and off we went.
What a SPECTACULAR place!!! It was Joe Cocker's house until the current owner bought it a few years ago.... OMG!!! it is my perfect dream house. Basically it was an enclave of small buildings (rooms). The recording studio was one small house, there was a small bedroom built into the side of a hill overlooking a creek, there was a garden room off from another path, the kitchen & living room are one house, the dining room is the bottom floor of a tower, another bedroom is the second floor, then their son's room is the third floor with an observation deck on top. There was so much gorgeous stone work, wood and iron and everything was built into the natural setting between boulders and trees. I so wanted to take pictures but didn't want to offend the hosts - very nice people btw. I did snap this one while walking back from my car --- this is the tower that has a 360 degree view of the ocean and Santa Barbara
the tower
every where you looked you'd find a small treasure.
And the Enchiladas were great!! Three entries all very different in style. A very fun idea for a party. My beans were a hit too! The crowd was very interesting too- all from this small mountain community (Painted Cave). I'm so glad that we took the time and made the effort to go.

Cynde, sorry if you were a bit overhung this morning but I'm sure that your friend needed a nite to let loose (especially in a safe environment).
PS, I'm glad that OUR mom has you :-) Please sneak a brownie to her for me - kay?
Kobi, I think I found your 4 pounds!!!! Congratulations :-) :-) :-)
Linda, I'm glad that you're creating again - it's important in so many ways.
CB, you just make me smile :-) Give Eric a huge hug from me --- getting you a laptop was just TOPS!!
Tom, I'm glad you and Benny had some prime time together. Hey! you know we have the Venice Beach connection thingie??? My grandmother lived there when I was growing up - used to go to church right next door to the Ringling Bros circus camp. What years were you there? I was from 63-81 (not as much in the last 5 years thought :-() My grandmother lived next door to her brother on one side and her sister on the other so we'd see them all at once. And she had one of those big tricycles with a basket and a bell :-) :-) I told Guy that I want one of those someday!
Well... guess I'd better wrap it up and say Good Night Gracie :-) :-)
See ya'll in the am..
