Good Morning BT. I was up most of the night listening to a huge thunder storm. I was to be working a tri today, but it was cancelled. I got up at 4:55am knowing that the race would be postponed for a few hours or cancelled, but as a volunteer I had to go down there to see if there was anything I could do. Nope! Don't think I'll be going to class today.

Linda, we just got regular rain here - but all night long. It's cleared up now and Larry's going diving. I'm going to paint those pool chairs today, and nothin' much else. :-)

Man, what a difference the few miles between us makes. The rain has stopped now, but looks like it could start any time.
I might as well take a nap then work around the house.
pink chair2
Here's the pink chair I auctioned off for the 2006 3-Day I walked. Too bad I'm sitting in it. You can't see the green ivy and little dark ping ribbons the artist painted on it. One of my generous coworkers (at the time)built the chair. Miss Beth is next to the chair.

I've thought of painting my adirondacks all colorful, but I'm sure not sure enough of my painting skills. lol Looks like they'll be plain white - for now. :-)

Larry just left with the guy from work - he's jamacian, has a cool accent. I hope they have fun diving today - they took 2 tanks each.

Morning girls :-)
Linda, sorry about the cancelled event you planned to volunteer for. I really like the chair you pictured!

Lazy day for us. Supposed to be HHH today and severe storms later. We will chill and I will cook later; NEW lifestyle starts tomorrow for Rob and I. Gonna be fun.....

PS, Hope you're heading to your dive destination!!!

Morning Kobi. What's the new lifestyle? Will it be like the Rich and Famous? :-) If it is, send pictures.

Kathy, Larry's new friend sounds nice. Hope he makes for a good dive buddy. I still have to take two of our tanks in for their hydro tests.

It's still gloomy out here. I've started more laundry and the dishes. I may even tackle the master closet. It has a few of Terry's suits, all my clothes and out dive gear. Should be interesting.

Linda,

Rich and famous?! LOL....I guess I'm both in so many ways :-)

Rob and I decided, together, to eat much healthier. Typically it's me going at it alone; unsuccessfully I might add! He's not overly happy with how he's looking lately; bulking up around the mid section. He has TONS more discipline than I as he's in our basement gym every single workday lifting weights pretty hard. We made a pact, yesterday, to eat better and it will mean more to me that we do it together this time :-)

We'll be doing the 6WBM; 6 week body makeover program. Myself and a co worker did it 2 years ago and it was successful but, typical of me, I gave up too soon!!!
No fingers crossed yet as it's too early but glad hubby's on board. Together we can do it :-) Ironic part of it all is I HATE TO COOK!!! This will be me, outside of my comfort box :-)
I wanted to be fit and FORTY but seeing at FORTY is here in 3 weeks that ain't gonna happen so I need to shoot for the future. I want to be healthy and feel better and look better. I got these new lips ya know LOL!

Now, as far as closets here? I have to tackle our pantry. Am going to feel HORRIBLE about throwing quite a bit out BUT must if we're gong to do this new lifestyle without temptations.

Onward I go.....

Good morning ladies (and all that follow).

You are not alone in having to deal with crappy weather:-(

I hope Larry and his friend have a fun dive.

Came in at 7am to prepare gear for today's checkout dives and the rain has been coming down ever since. Oh well, I guess it is a good time to catch up on yesterday's overload and hopefully stay ahead today.

I think I will put in some relaxing "Good Morning" music and finish this pot of coffee first:

Morning Kathy, Linda, Kobi, Tom and who follows here today!

No rain in SJ, so going to tackle some outside gardening and weeding before it gets too hot. Maybe even go for a walk after another cup of tea.

Kobi, Good for you! :-)

Morning Tom. You won't be relaxed by the time you finish that pot of coffee. But that's okay!!! I'll try your music when youtube co-oporates with me.
Kobi, I'm so glad to hear that your husband will be joining you in a new health eating lifestyle. First, you'll be healthier. Second, it is much easier to do anything when your partner joins in, too.
I wish that Terry would join me in no snacking. Belly fat is the worst kind for your heart, and Terry has it.
OMG You wouldn't believe how much stuff I've pulled out of that 8'.5" x 5' closet. I'll be moving and thinning out a bunch of stuff. Next closet to clean out is one of our kitchen pantries. I use it for arts & farts stuff.
Up, up and away!

I'm almost done. Some lucky person is going to get lots of nice suits and dresses. I just don't feel like getting dressed up anymore. Dressing more relaxed in my old age.
I thought this was cute.

MORNING!!!
Not sure what the weather holds here today. Not likely for rain though LOL
Guy might actually come home tonight - they are down to one working helicopter and even that one they found something after getting it into the hangar last night. It was interesting watching them bring it back to the hangar, back it in and then the 2 mechanics immediately checked it over. After dinner, as I pulled away to drive home I saw all of them (4 pilots, 2 crew chiefs and 2 mechanics) piled around the problem. It was obviously going to be a late night.

Today I'm going to play in the yard (didn't get to it yesterday), laundry, vacuum and cook (didn't get to that yesterday either!).

I got some great plants at the nursery yesterday - they were having a sale :-) :-)

Sheesh, I should get my info before I post... just spoke with Guy. He's on a 24 hour shift so no coming home tonight. Maybe tomorrow night.

I should be able to get a ton of stuff done today!

Rain, rain go away. It's raining here again. And it rained on Larry and his friend, but after an hour's wait they got clear skies. I'm afraid this is going to move down on them next.

I painted my chairs (spraypaint) and they look like dooky. Guess I'm gonna have to get some REAL paint.

Ah well, is it 5:00 anywhere? lol I've done everything humanly possible that I can do and now I'm bored.

Those who have sunshine, enjoy!

Wow that week went by quickly, I can't believe Patrick in on his way home already!

We have beautiful blue sunny skies but still some smoke lingering in the distance here.

I have been checking airfare prices and they keep going up! (we are using frequent flier miles, but I was figuring if the tickets were cheap enough we'd save our miles).

Glad to hear Patrick is safe. Sorry to hear about the rain in all the wrong places - send it to the west coast! I just checked the weather in Chattanooga...rain. Figures, it is finally sunny and nice here and I am headed to more rain. My flight has no open seats either. Yikes! And I am flying like a bum....blue jeans and a real baggy t-shirt with my sandals. At this point I don't care. At least I am not wearing my PJs!

Kathy...buy those tickets! With everything going on with the airlines, you don't want to not be able to get them.

Kobi...40 in 3 weeks??? How did I miss that! Wooohooo woman! You look marvelous!

Tom...did the check out dives go? I get to be a victim for a rescue class August 3. I can't wait!

Hello to all - in case I missed someone! LOL!

Good Afternoon all!!:-)

We went diving!! Got there at 7:30, before the gates opened. Only 3 other cars in line, 2 other divers. The news was there because today all FL State Parks aren't charging to get in. More divers came in while we were suiting up. We got to the water just as the other 2 where coming out of the boil. So it was just us. And just as we were coming out of it, the other divers started coming in. Worked out great!!! We saw lots of fish, brim (bream?), gar, turtles, all those fresh water fishes...It was a good time!!!:-)

Now, I have to figure out how to do this paypal thing to pay for my auction stuff...I always have a hard time w/ that. I may be sending a check!!

Well that was for naught!
Thank You Points agents don't work Sundays, nor do AA people. argh Scaring me because ticket prices keep going up. I figure the best I'll be able to do this time is get one round trip out of the Thank You points, and half a trip out of AA. We might end up on different flights! ack! Oh well.

Kobi, 40? Try 50!!!! (I still can't believe that's coming up for me. I don't FEEL almost 50!) We need pics of your micropigmentation! (or whatever it's called!)

I decided during a break in the clouds to cut my pineapple. Poor thing, got too much water from all the rain. So it's not big, but it's ready. Got one coconut ready to cut up, too (from Bob next door), so I'm going to have to do something with pineapple and coconut. Uh oh, there goes that song in my head again (I have key limes), "Put tha lime in da coconut...." lol

Here's my poor little pineapple. But, the last one, I cut the top off of, and it's growing fast and should produce soon. I'll do the same to this one...plant the top. No bananas yet, no papaya as the gardens had to start over after BOB's visit, but they are healthy and growing and we should have fruit soon on them.

Diving withdrawal, I understand...but I want some CLEAR BLUE WATER, not GULF OF MEXICO...I want I want I want, to at least go to Lauderdale before Venice! And Larry promises me we WILL. Do you know I have only done 5 dives this year? He's done, 11 I think, but ALL in the gulf. I need clear blue.

Tribs, hope you're safely in the air heading to TN. Thanks for the compliments!
Good luck with your presentation; you will be awesome I know :-) The big FOUR OH/40 will arrive on the 31st of July :-( I don't want to meet her...LOL!

I managed to snooze some today. I think I have four years of sleep to catch up on :-)
I then cleaned out the pantry of all evil and bad food! No more temptations in the house. Went out for lunch and have my "last supper" LOL! Ate a piece of pie and then said goodbye :-)
This is serious to me and I have to do it. So, I will do it both publicly and privately this time.

Threatening rain here with thunder in the distance. We really don't need more here but I know the farmers will say different.
We're currently watching AVP; women's beach volleyball that we DVR'd earlier. I really like May & Walsh! Rob really likes the suits/thongs... LOL!

Hope everyone has had a good day. Can't believe the weekend's almost over....

Larry and Reggie had ONE good dive, couldn't do two. Rain rain didn't go away!

Sooooo, I went to Home Depot and got some new plants and had supper laid out ready to go when he got home.

I asked Reggie if his wife dives, and he said, "She only dives in Prima Donna conditions." I said, "Well, bring her on your next dive regardless, and maybe we'll do Lauderdale." He said his wife loves Lauderdale, so we'll see.

Rain is gone, and it's hot again. Larry's showing me his big a** teeth. lol Might have to get in the pool after dinner. :-)

I'm envious of all the big a@@ teeth you guys have!!! I bet you have some nice necklace material though.

I'm bushed!!! I can't believe I spent the whole day gardening and only got one little corner cleaned and planted. I planted a Salsa Garden right next to the BBQ - no worries over food poisoning if it comes from your yard! I planted some Lisianthus right out our bedroom window among the orchids, ginger and ferns - very pretty :-) OMG I can't believe how sore my back is ---- obviously I need to do more shoveling, digging and weed pulling!! I've got four more plants to plant but they're going on the front hill which will be a b^%$#.... might need another beer before starting that.
I've got a lovely evening primrose, zinnias and squash. I still have Indian Mallow and a really cool red leafed plant too but I don't think they will happen today.

PS--- do you mean that Brody chewed Rafe's shoes? How old is he? (Brody not Rafe!!)

He ate Rafe's Etnies & new leather boat shoes!!! I think he's gonna train Rafe to clean his room, this will be a very good thing! And Rafe just called, from his Dad's, Brody is eating grass and getting sick...well, those were some nasty shoes!!! I'd be sick too, I cannot have them in the house when he's here. At least now he'll have to get new ones!:-)
I don't think that Brody is a year yet. He's got a lot of puppy in him.
