OK, I know, it's not really Friday yet here, but in Europe it IS!

We are going to Catalina this weekend...woooofrigginfrigginwoohoooo!!! Our first trip this year due to weather and Michael's back...he's a go (can't dive, but I'm going to)...I am soooo pschyed (sp)...I'm gonna do the Matt dance on the back of Tuffy. Got the house sitter all lined up and we are so a go...OMG, I am so excited...

Elaine, he will be careful. He did two dives in Jam, and was a little sore afterward. With the extra weight needed to dive conditions here, I'm not going to push him. I'm surprised he is even taking his gear, however, I will go to the dive park and see if I can hook up with someone if he doesn't want to dive, or go solo while he waits for me

I'm leaving to stay in an Econolodge for the weekend in Scranton, PA with a virtual stranger (another Mom) to attend my daughter's college orientation....could be fun, or boring and stressful......

I hope to attack the weeds this weekend and put in all the perennials. We got a lot of them from Joel's fam. I also bought some on clearance - never had a problem doing that!

At least I can still through the weeds over the fence - for now! There is also a plant - you can sort of see it in the first pic, in the field area, middle left, it is beautiful and big and it was there last year. Beautiful peach/yellow flowers. No idea what it is, but we are going to take it and plant it. It will be destroyed anyway by construction so might as well save it!

Well Jim, I'm not Cynde but I stayed at a Holiday Inn Express and I have made a cruise in the mighty Tuffy. My educated nautical guess would be about a week to make the crossing, that's perceived time, real world would be 3 hours or so depending on how many tankers you have to avoid.

Oh Cynde I finally got to see the Matt dance video you did, first off you owe me a new monitor, and second you hit it it out of the park. Matt would be so proud.

Jim, thanks for posting that video and in turn, reminding me of what is really important.

When I watched the interview where W.Z. said how knowing he was not long for this world made him "Enjoy Every Sandwich" a bit more, a big lump formed in my throat. A few weeks ago one of our employees was told that his cancer had returned, spread and the outlook was not good. When we talked after his consult he essentially said the same thing that W.Z. said in that interview. Funny isn't it, that we can be so busy running through life that we can easily miss out on really enjoying ALL it has to offer. Then again, if we are told time might be short, pleasure can come from savoring (almost) every moment, every person and every thing in our lives.

Eileen, nice photos and yes it looks like you have twins at the breakfast table. Oh - if that one side of the fence is complete, you don't need peep holes. And recycle that plant on the other side. Terry and I "saved" a banana tree plant from a pile that was going to the trash. It lived for a good long while in our back yard.

My kids want to dive Blue Springs on Sunday. So, maybe today Rafe and I will go get the tanks filled, they got used in the pool. And George doesn't go in 'til noon on Sunday, so maybe we can get him to go with us!!!

I just called G, and he said "Go fill those tanks and let's get there early on Sunday!" Woo Hoo!! I know, I know, it's just the springs, BUT Rafe hasn't been diving since last year and Kayla and G haven't been since November!! Oh, I'm just excited!!

Another plus on diving the springs. You're rinsing your gear in nice fresh water - no salt. Still got to check for sand and other debris, but no salt.

Cecil, yep, a week to get to Catalina on Tuffy. Time perception is everything...lol.

Jim, on the Catalina Express, it takes an hour and a half, about 46 miles from Dana Point. On tuffy, about five (we go sllloowwwww...cause we are a tug and trawler)....lol...but heck, we sip the gas!! which now days, slow is just fine with me! the fast foo foo boats, it costs them around a grand for one weekend over and back in gas.

I was doing good, til 3AM and Spice decided to vomit next to my side of the bed. Then I had to get up and clean the carpet. Kinda ruined any creativity I might've had...
