Looks like a big road trip to Texas is in store here. Gotta get a car down there for my daughter, not feeling too good about any auto transport companies I talked to with getting there when I want it there. So, Gregg and I are going to flip a quarter to see who is going to do 1600 miles in two days to get it there? Sounds like fun, huh?
Life is a big road trip here as of late.

Daughter's boyfriend in the Marines got orders last week to go to Japan for pete's sake for a year after the summer. Tiff is not too happy with that, but that is the life of a Marine I guess.

I need a vacation. Too much work and no play. Took down some %^& trees in son's yard this past week-end, it was not good to be me then, hurting from it now, but good news is I am chigger free this time around. It was hot, hot and triple hot last Saturday, about 5pm, hubby's chain saw broke, thank the saw gods, and we had to stop for the day. Got home and he fixed it, so we get to go back to tackle the last 10 or so trees left to go, not looking forward to it. There is one really big scabby pine tree that is dead that has to come down, and we all know that one never knows where it may land as it is so dead, I am in control of hitting the gas in the van to pull it down when Gregg cuts it and it is ready to fall where we want it to go. Only good thing about a dead tree is that it is lighter to carry when removing the cut pieces.

Tom, I got a real nice ocean trigger at my house on island from PegiSue when she was staying with us. She painted it from one of your pics you took when you were on island, should look familiar when you see it.

PegiSue, Let's hit the road, looks like I am the the one driving the big open highway as of now, seems hubby's family is going to come for a visit at that time, so that leaves me, anyone want to go for a big road trip???? PS, we won't have to whisper this time, just gotta have some good tunes for the trip! A lot of good tunes as it is a lonnnnggg one.

Just think, I am gonna see parts of the USA I have never seen before, hmmmm, not sure if that is a good thing or a bad thing, good thing is I got a GPS, so I should be able to get there and those things actually talk to you, pretty cool! If you make a wrong turn, they re-calculate and get you back on track. Now, that is neat.

Can you say, "Convoy"? I am thinking a BT convoy would be cool across country, now I got that song in my head, Maybe I should get a CB too? Thinking I could have some fun with that on the road trip. hee hee. o.k., guess I scared everyone away. sorry about that. Got carried away in my head there.

true story, i was a VERY naive child. i took a road trip with my brother when I was 16 to San Jose, CA. He had this hopped up mustang, and a CB (ok, this was many moons ago). He told me that I was going to be "little beaver." I had NO clue what that meant. Boy, did I have every trucker out there looking for Little Beaver in the hopped up mustang! lol! We still laugh about it today, big brothers!!!!

Ahhhhh. Nice to see you all at the END of the day! I'm too busy lately! Shopping trip today, whoo hoo, cost me $40, because I can't shop for someone without finding some thing or two I want (on clearance!)

Back in the 80's, when I had to drive I-20 to the "big city" to work, I had a CB. Never made myself a name, but always got called Blondie by all those truckers in a convoy (who would wedge me in!) And never had a flat tire without Johnny on the spot there to help. Always the gentlemen, though.

So my seafood alfredo is almost done. I think it calls for
