OK, so Larry was off today and has his physical for his job and passed, and then he dove Venice Beach. (Dive Bum!) He came home with a treasure trove of teeth. It reminded me of a BT'er who works for the dive center we get air from, and so I called the scuba center. Dan answered! He has not been able to access BT lately for some reason, and we both changed new email addys. I'm so glad Dan answered. They want to come to the Maxi Meet. So add two more, Timmmmmy! And Dan is the Man for air and tanks.

So, anyway, our air/tank station is set, and Dan and Vic are going to chime in after he's done with this class.

It's NEXT weekend! (Can't wait).

I definitely cannot make it-air fare too expensive and driving would be too long for a short trip - I know is worth it but....And I need to get ready for our trip to Germany leaving the following Saturday.

Elvira, I wish you were coming, I would LOVE to meet you IN PERSON! But I understand, that's a long drive for you. I was really debating it, it's 222.22 miles for me!! And I have to drive by myself!!! But I don't think they'd ever let me live it down if I didn't, since I'm in the same state!!! And I just HAVE to go!!!! Sunday is our family day. The kids come over and the big boys game and the girls hang out in the pool...... I know. I'm way too wrapped up in family, but that's just how we live. Besides - the 3 hour drive is too much to do down and back in one day.......

Our solstice parade used to be reeeeally wild but they had to tone it down. One year a couple decided to show us their Dominatrix skills all along the route - he was in a thong (ewwwww!) with a dog collar and leash and she had a whip and wore a very skimpy dress-thingy without the benefit of underwear --- to top it off she did cartwheels and flips up the parade route..... omg, the old timers still talk about that year!!

OK, on the dive thing...Larry's gonna lead us out to the reef, but on the way to the reef and beyond it are the teeth, so those following us will have to realize, it's a slow dive. On the reef, are...reef critters. I prefer to stay around the reef, I found my biggest megaladon on the reef, just lying there in a beam of light, on a rock. He thinks you have to dig.

Here's the deal, Timmmmy, do you have a flag? We have only one flag (we think), and I think we need at least 2. Larry is "Pigpen" from Charlie Brown, when he starts digging after the reef. Honestly, he clouds up the water so bad you can't stay around him. That's why I always carry the flag, he has to find me if he gets lost. So I'll take a flag and keep him in sight. Anyone else have a flag? Please remember, this dive will be in like 17 ft of water, there will be no emergencies.

AND we all need to have tank bangers or something. I have a rattle, and I can shake it till you find me if you get lost. In the low viz, it's kind of necessary for at least one in each flag group, to have something heard u/w.

Also, the parking lot FILLS by 9:00, so we need to be there at like....8:30ish. Can people live with that?

Oh, Larry just found our other flag, but it's dismal. We really don't need to use it as it's at least 12 years old, but we can work on it if no one else has a flag.

I personally haven't dove at Venice this year so far, so this is gonna be a treat for me.

Chris, Jordan and I will be making sand clouds too although if there is some vis I may take some UW photos to post later that eve ... I think I have a flag around here somewhere.

I am cool with the 8:30 arrive time, since I need to scoot by 10am for another obligation back in Brandon, so I'll be out of the water before the rest are. However, y'all can keep the flag and I'll meet up with someone sometime and get it.

Teri - I have a flag - so you can take yours with you when you leave.

8:30 is fine with us - I'll let my son drive up and get that extra hour of twilight sleep on the way up.

Crap crap crap... I am the worst jinx of myself ever... this evening at work, I walk in and my boss tells me that the wife of the guy covering for me this weekend had their baby (their first, a girl, awww...) and he won't be able to work for me.

Long story short, I won't be there. Crap crap crap!

WAAAHHHH!! I wanted to go shark tooth diving and go to y'all's bbq!!
