I liked those Freddie...the noises and the comments. LOL! I actually like the sound of the brown chromis when they all "swoosh" out of the way of a bar jack. This is the first time I have noticed the sound and it is pretty cool.

one of those fishes was making antisocial exhalations - I swear it was.

Gotta go finish soaking a mouthpiece, reinstall it and head home.

Be well, and remember "He/She that laughs last is slowest." (New tee-shirt)

Freddie, those fish sounds were pretty interesting. When Ter and I were in Belize we heard the toadfish croaking, but couldn't find them. This will tell it all. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JthrFe4OCvU
Mind you, this was my first trip with the video cam - not the best quality.

Tom, you talk to yourself well. Lots of practice??

Now I'm waiting on the pictures of Tom and Jerry on the red Hogg :-))))))

Thx Freddie that was way cool :-)))) and it proves that communication is not always done the conventional way :-))))

LOL Linda, luring a toadfish out of his shelter and than yank your hand away on the last moment :-)))) Quite the hero :-))))))))))
I would have done the same :-)))

Actually, the dive master was tired of hearing that we couldn't find one. He brought some left over chicken from lunch to lure toady out so we could see him. Pretty interesting looking critter. The toad fish. Well the DM was pretty nice, too.

Sorry for the late post, got an emergency

In Egypt some DM from the Old Days use to feed the big Napoleon fishes hard boiled eggs.
Those Nappies were crazy about them. The whole thing stopped when they found out that a lot of those fishes died from heart attacks :-((((((((
Nowadays from the original 200.000 Napoleon fishes living in the Red Sea only a mere 1.000 survive.
Luckily this practise has stopped now.

Ok...so last dive was at Bachelor's Beach (again), but I finished early enough to take sunset pics. :-)
This is how it started - gorgeous!
This is how it ended - lovely!

There was a LARGE group of divers waiting for sunset to go out for a dive. I'm so jealous! I won't night dive solo.

It was just perfect this evening. :-) I don't usually get to see the actual sunset because I am rinsing gear or cleaning up. This was quite the treat.

Tomorrow, I'm diving with Bette and Jos. Woohooo! And...I get chocolate coffee to boot!

OH what a night!! Late September back in.....OK so it's JUNE but my gosh it feels like September- weather wise :-)
Still VERY hot and humid here in VA. I hate it; I hate to sweat and don't like how the humidity messed with my mild asthma. YUCK!!! That sums it up.

Good day all in all though. Got myself dressed, correctly, and we went to a graduation party. Our old next door neighbor's only son graduated today! CANNOT belive this young man is that old now. They were the first people Rob and I ever met when we came to see the lot we ultimately live on now. Their son was still in diapers then; now he's 17!!! Gave him a nice card with moolah so he's a happy young fella.

They only moved about 1/2 mile away so short drive for us. SO VERY good to see them; good neighbors are a blessing indeed!

We're home and everyone's winding down for the night. We are overly thankful that our air conditioning is working good!!!

Jahneeeeen, that was the first time you watched Finding Nemo?!?! You poor child - consider yourself hugged!!! I think you deserve a bunch of good dives and ice cream (waffle cone) cones - DUUUUUDE!!! "Mine, mine, mine, mine" Can ya tell I have watched that movie a gazillion times? Think I will watch it again tonight:-)

Freddie, would you please come mow my yard today?

I watched that last nite too!!! First time since I've been diving, it's amazing how much better things are now!! I knew what kind of fish this was and that was...
I have a shower curtain with a reef on it that I've had for years. I put it up the other day and now I just stand at the bathroom door and stare at it...I've got it bad!!!:-)

PS, just hop in the shower with you dive gear, crank on the water (not too long - have to conserve the water here) and take pictures of your reef.

True confession time...I fell asleep and did not see it all. :-( I fell asleep pretty early too. The last thing I remember is that Nemo was going to swim into the filter and block it with a charcoal pebble. :-( :-(
