Congrats on 15 years RosAnne!

I'm an Obi-Wan guy myself. If I had to pick the dark side, it's got to be Darth.

Congratulations RosAnne!

Bette, I had to do something today at work - hence the absence of posting. Have an executive board of trustees meeting tomorrow to prepare and will be away from by BT buddies most of the day.

Later

That sounds just like him Bette :-)
We have a raccoon that terrorizes our pool toys at night and we have named him Chewbacca because he chews up or leaves teeth marks in anything he finds.

RosAnne, your raccoon needs to take lessons from our raccoons, who show up and timidly finish off the bowl of cat food on the deck, then take naps on the lawn furniture. Just three of them, who have been coming since they were babies.

Sometimes, if
the bowl is empty when they get here, they stand up and peer in my office window to see if I might have a little more(Please, Sir...may I have some more?).

CB, this guy is huge, I went out on the deck one night and he was peering at me from the roof and looked to be about the size of a very fat, full grown cat! He's scary.

PS, I keep wanting to tell you about this guy:

http://stevevaughn.com/

I like his work. I bought my first print of his from an overpriced boutique in Moro Bay, Ca., then was PEEVED(read pi**ed) to see that his stuff was so affordable online.

If I'm not mistaken, he's not far from you. I know your medium is different, but he has a business format that is quite successful...check him out!

Good afternoon all! Thanks for welcoming me. Thanks to Timmy I now have training wheels on my bike. I knew I couldn't ride a bike that had only two wheels. I don't keep enough 'band-aids' in the house for a trick like that! This is the first chance I've had to even turn this computer on. Good for you Pegi, get that studio set up so you can paint again. Why did you try to be 'me'? Did you forget who you were for a spell? I do those things, you are much to young to be so forgetful.

OMG...you guys are on a roll. Rosanne congrats! Our two permanent raccoons weight 25-30 pounds each. Another rescue group has even larger permanents. They normally don't get that big in the wild. :-)

So dive 225 was great! It turned out to be Alice in Wonderland because a young couple was having a romantic morning at Angel City, so I left them alone.

Dive 226 never happened. I went up to Andrea II and geared up and my computer died. Brand new battery, only 8 dives. UGH! Off to see Bruce, new battery. Off to Windsock. Serious o-ring leak. I'm out of o-rings because I have had to replace so many this trip. I get out of the water go pick up two fresh tanks and head to Bachelor's Beach. Oh yea...smashed my pinky finger picking up the new tanks. Any way, got all geared up ready to go in at BB and notice that my fin strap isn't connected. Very odd, I always reconnect them while exiting the water. Well guess what? While I was struggling with the o-ring leak at Windsock, the connector part of my fin strap fell off in the water. Back to Windsock - YES I DID FIND IT!!!!! However, I decided that this was some type of sign and I am now eating lunch. I'm going to try a dive later today. Don't want to tempt fate.

Tribs, Go over to the pool and relax! Take the rum and coke with you (you know where the ice machine is!)
I'm confused about a new battery on a new computer! I'm sure Bruce will be able to figure it out, but that's just not right! We here in Ohio have just finished the deluge; it's gonna be Bonaire hot tomorrow (and Ohio humid)! Relax the rest of today---for you, there's always diving tomorrow :-) Judy

I didn't understand it either. The dive shop sent me a computer (via Carole Baker - thanks Carole!). I turned it on and it had a low battery symbol. I got 14 dives out of it and then it shut off. I had Bruce change the battery. On dive 7 of the new battery, the low symbol came on again. However this time it only lasted for one more dive. When I went to go in on dive 9, the computer shut off before I got into the water. The guesses are: 1) bad computer or 2) older computer that is running hot and burning up batteries. :-(

Tribs, have them check it out.. My wife had the same thing happen on her new Oceanic Pro Plus 2 and come to find out, the battery compartment flooded. We replaced the battery and it worked for a little while but finally quit. We had our LDS send it back and they replaced it..

Kayla's computer is doing that. When we got it, she did one dive and the battery was dead. We drove all the way back to Jacksonville and got it changed. Then we went to Bonaire and she did 8-10 dives. The other day when we were in the pool, her battery was almost dead again. I'm gonna have someone look at it. 'Cause it doesn't seem right. Let us know what Bruce says...maybe that'll help me with hers...

Mom, I changed your pic...
I hope I can post as me now....

Tribs, Cute picture of your roommates chill'n out.
On your computer - Why don't you pick up a copy of the tables and keep it with you. That way if the computer craps out you can fall back on the tables.
Who remembers their tables - dive masters not included.
I don't and should take a refresher on tables. I do bring them with me on dive trips.
Terry has an older DiveTec computer that he picked up used (maybe a 1 year old) in 1999. It's big, yellow and has yet to need a new battery. What's up with that?
