Morning Chatter Buddies, I bet you all thought I had dropped off the end of the island...I'm just stopping by to say I did buy a fifth on the third to drink on the fourth but I still had some for the fifth and the sixth...Maybe tonight after work I can manage to get it all down!!!! I've been chasing down fireworks displays on the boat for the last week. It's the only time Maida is more enthusiastic about going out on the water than I am. Saw four, the one at Fairfield, CT was awesome.

mornin' meryl, bob and freddie! great captures meryl! i wonder if it is the same octipus that took the red filter off before? i have to say that i don't know much about their behavior, except that they don't come out much in the day, and are wierd looking!

we had a great 4th, went down to the boat, our harbor is really small in Dana Point, so all that is out there on the 4rth are the dinghy's. we ventured out, michael forgot the supersoakers (dang)...we managed to get pillaged by water ballons, mega super soakers, when the balloons didn't pop, we went back and skimmed them up to use as at least SOME defense! ended up going under the bridge to "the other side" and got caught in the middle of an onslaught of about 15-20 dingies going at it! i was yellin' get us outta here before we have to start bailin' her! it was a lot of fun as usual...fireworks were good, although the clouds moved in and it was a bit overcast.

Meryl! Wow! That is one of the funniest NATURAL events we've seen on the cam - the octopus with sticky fingers. Didn't get the filter off this time, I guess.



I wound up falling back to sleep this morning - so nice to a cool, breezy night/morning and I took advantage of it! Than after twelve hours of ZZZZZZZs we hit Walmart to re-stock the soda supply here.

Just finished preparing for tonights Southampton dinner. I've got lamb marinating in Merlot and herbs , a fresh strawberry -raspberry-rhurbarb pie in the oven and the crab cakes with basil aioli ready to cook!!! Wish I were hungry after all this prep...wish I could afford to eat like this everynight too..now it might be pool time and then a little drinky poo before i go to work..see you all later, I check the boards ..so don't say bad things about me..LOL

We went to Bob's brother's new house. Lots of fruity concotions coming out of the blender all day and loads of chips n dips and salads and grill food. We wound up standing around the food half the day, talking and nibbling. Nice chance to catch up with family... only two siblings didn't make it.

Won't really have any free time the tenth. Swimmers arrive on first ferry of the day, then there is a dedication/memorial service, after that we pick up our swimmer, the coach and an EMT and head for the mouth of the harbor to start the the race. Next stop, Bridgeport. Friday we arrive late afternoon with no scheduled activity 'til morning. Keep trying.

rusty, yes and annual 4th of july "get wet" thing! It is a lot of fun, the shower afterward is the best...ahhhh...getting the bay water washed off! i had posted a long thing earlier as well and it dumped me off..maybe jake is playing with our minds (just kidding)...

hi again, the pie is still in the oven....almost done!! I am looking forward to labor day and then all the RENTERS will be outta here{ although renting a house for ,get this!!!$150,000 for the summer!!!} then it's back to TV dinners LOL..So yes I will need Bonaire and will be there the 25 of September YIPPEE!!!!

Yep! We saw them at the 4th of July BBQ we attended. They were in fine spirits. Sara claims she will get certified in October in England :-)
