Bette, I live in the San Francisco Bay area of California, where the population is comprised of folks from all over the world. We joke that what is exotic to one of us is just going back to the 'hood for others. It makes me a better traveler to remember that.

I'm just tweakin' you about living on Bonaire to learn a little bit more about you. You were raised there? Came with your whole family?

I would go and visit my family on a vacation, if my family wasn't there.

Gave a neighbor who is a Chef a few parts for an old Sturmey Archer 3 speed this morning. He just brought in a platter of grilled shrimp with a curry dipping sauce. If this is a dream, don't wake me. Sorry folks store is closed.

Cool Bette. You've been places I may never get to. Thanks for the bio...you started posting when I was on Bonaire, I think, and thought, "Hmmm....wonder who she is...".

It's my favorite thing about the interenet...connecting with people and information you might never contact otherwise. And BT is a rather special place, I think: no other place has drawn me in so much, and I've made real friends here....

Oh, and do meet Tribs if you can...she's a really interesting person, multifaceted. You'll enjoy her.

Hi guys n gals, you take a lot of time to catch up on, esp watching the videos. But I don't have PBD, I have PBE (Pre Bonaire Excitement!)

What do I do on Saturdays? Clean the house to a spit shine, buy groceries, do my nails, get back early enough to enjoy the pool. So that's where I am. :-) Larry went diving at Venice and was shivering last I talked to him, but he was doing an afternoon dive, too. I'll just wait 'till the 80's, thank you.

I'm having to prepare for this trip I leave on Monday, which means leaving things Larry can cook, leaving the house perfect, and stocking up on wine for me - oh and doing all my laundry so I can pack tomorrow. :-)

Loved the videos Cyn. They do bring a longing to a Bonaire lover's heart.

Timmmmy, enjoy the TN woods! Check yourself for ticks! lol

Pool Time!

I totally agreed Barbara.

My favorite hobby is; The peculiar species of Mankind!
And the internet just made that easier to pursue.
I am part Dutch and part German (maiden name: Eitze). Hubby and son are Dutch.

I certainly will try and meet up with Tribs. There were some plans on enjoying some "Anti-Depression" cake together (instead of donuts) :-))

Thx guys :-))))))) I think so too, when he sleeps ;-))))

No, he IS sweet and so is the big one.
The thing with Jos is that he thinks he is not photo-genic HA HA HA HA HA. He doesn't realize that because he thinks that, he always turns his head or speeds in to hiding when I try to make a pic of him and so again a bad pic. LOL

Nice, Timmmy. Just got back from my two mile walk and I got to see a mommy deer with two of her babies up close as I passed by the woods they were grazing in. Pretty cool. They froze, I froze and we both just checked each other out, then they took off to deeper woods. Was a nice evening for a walk and I enjoyed it much. Hope I can say the same tomorrow when I get to do it again and the next day and the next day. Hee Hee.

Great photos! I just thought I would peek in one last time. I'm finished packing. I couldn't fit everything, so I am taking the dog toys and the shampoo and Wes will bring down the rest of the rawhides when he comes. I'm bummed, but I couldn't get it all in my suitcase and be under the weight limit. I got to say bye to all of the critters today. I'm sad to be leaving as we got in a litter of foxes (3-4 months old) and the cutest little coyote (2-3 weeks old). At least I got to work with them today.

Ok folks...I will try to check in from the airports. It will be a very long day tomorrow. I leave the house at 3:30 am and should land on Bon around 9:00 pm. Here's hoping that I and all my luggage make it safely! :-)
