What are YOU going to do today to make someone happy or make someone's life better?????????

Today I think a child will get my attention.

And I am also open to another idea!!

And I'm sure everyone else would like to know if you did what it was....just wanted to make the world a little better place today.

Well...today is my critter day. I will clean cages, feed, water, and kick them some treats. :-)

I'm also taking one of my graduated seniors to dinner to celebrate all of her hard work. I'm very proud of her!

Welcome back Chuck.

Today, I'll refrain from giving the finger to the person that cuts me off on the highway.

Today I will allow my employees to remove the Bing Crosby Christmas CD from the CD player and play one of there own.

Hey, it's a start right?

Okay, cut the crap.

Great guys, keep up the good work!

When I brought my kid to school this morning I picked up 4 (yes, 4) classmates on the way. They were walking alone along the side of the road. Can you imagine, 6 and 7 year olds!!!!!
Should have a talk with their parents I guess.
On the other hand, this is the way things are done here and who am I to butt in, but it does give me shivers. Brrrrr

Thanks for the thread Chuck.

So far,
I've burn't a music cd for my daughter.
Gave my sweetheart a card, flowers and am taking her out tonight. (Okay, there are probably selfish reasons for this one:-))
Just tried to assure the guys in our mfg business that we are weeding out potential buyers that want to move the business when the sale is final. A bit tense out there right now.

Will try to use Webster's when dealing with people today, instead of trash talk.

Like Jerry, I will try not to give the finger to anyone that tailgates me - NO GUARANTEES THO, OKAY?

We appreciate our children's teachers everyday. Katie is extremely smart but has some attention issues. She was placed in a program where she is taught the same courses other kids are taught, just in a different manner. Anyway, she has made Honors and High Honors (no 60's and 70's jokes guys) all of this year. How could we not appreciate teachers.

Betty, yes I can imagine that. Pam and I are lucky that because we work together, one of us can always be home when they get home or provide transportation for them and their friends when needed. Just like our parents did, Pam and I have quite a few extra "children" that bring more laughs into our house. The only thing that could beat the laughs would be if we could claim a few of them on our taxes:-)

Jerry, your employees have their own Bing Crosby Christmas C.D.'s? Lucky people.

Tom, isn't it HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!!!! day?

Kayla was just here with pics of her and Rafe's vehicles...luckily I just took a pain pill and I'm pretty mellow right now...her car is not lookin' too good!:-( Rafe's is in the shop already being repaired.:-)
But as she was leaving, I just stood there on the porch, watching her. She's so beautiful and just fills my heart with love! I love being her Mommy!:-)

Today I am going to wash my daughter's car for her and clean her room. The pollen has made her little red car yellow~ She is coming home from college later tonight and she will be very busy with looking for a summer job and starting summer classes at a community college for her college in Texas. :-)

I also went to the sneaker store and bought sneakers for my son, so HE did not have to go himself, thank goodness they still had the same sneaker style, so it was easy.

Today I am sending a check so that a disadvantage child can attend summer camp for a week. The organization I do this with takes local children and sends them to camp in the beautiful Santa Cruz mountains. Last year we got to meet some of the kids and they were just thrilled to be there. I do it for selfish reasons too, it makes my heart feel good! :-)

Well, so far I bought minutes for my brother's phone, comforted a client who cried in my office and did my best to get her an interview (fingers crossed) and she left hopeful and inspired, and well...a homeless man (you can tell, he was wearing his backpack) came up to me outside and asked me for a smoke and I obliged. I've been told Bless You 3 times today, so I guess I'm being good. :-)

P.S., yes. I smile when Ethan leaves too:-)

Debbie, I'll call you "Mommy" if you wash my truck and buy me new sneakers:-)

Bette, don't expect there to be any filling left in Jerry's donuts.

Jerry, ?!?!

Johnny Smack, try just turning around and looking at the driver it worked for me. Besides I quickly calculated the following:

Bike and me = around 900 lbs
Truck alone (F-150) = over 4,000 lbs

Who do ya think might win if he was having a bad night and decided to play "Bumper Cars"?.

Tom, how awesome for Katie! AND Happy Anniversary to you and Pam!

Thanks BH for starting this, I hope the day continues in the same fashion.

I'm having a "Ladies who Lunch" day. I sorta like them but don't, you know last year when I got the lecture about how I was a bad role model because of my piercings sorta soured me on them but I take it all in stride.... I think I'll wear a dangly skull on my nose ring and give em all something to talk about! :-)

How is everybody? What'd I miss the last two weeks?

I'm out
the door for my first day back at work. I'm having more trouble than usual reconciling myself to being back and putting on shoes.

RosAnne, we'll lunch soon and act like ourselves...the heck with those "ladies".

What good will I do? Well, my four feral kittens were old enough for foster care yesterday, and I sponsored them to families so they can be pets. Their mommy is going to be fixed this week so we can end the wild and hungry kitty cycle here(for now, at least). I'm still taking care of her littermates, and one of them is tame enough to find a home now.

That's it, but I just got back. See ya tonight, my friends!

A big hand for all of you.

I always feel bad after my news ploughing sessions. I really can't believe that there is so much wrongdoing in this world, but.....when I read all these posts it warms my hart. It gives me hope that our little ones can grow up knowing there are still people who really care.

By the way Tom, why do you think Jerry's donuts will be empty on arrival? You think he could have "a close encounter of the third kind" (for the ones who are young enough to have missed this film, it means "in the flesh") or something ;-))

Cecil, :-)

HEY GUYS (Girls look away)

Today is my sweetie's and my 18th wedding anniversary and I wanted to make it special. So, instead of the customary weed wacker, I looked in a gift guide at the mall this past weekend and it said:

Quote:
18 - Porcelain

so, I left the mall, went to Lowes and bought her a new toilet.

Just wanted you to know that I don't mean to keep raising the bar on you fellas, only following instructions:-)

OKAY LADIES, LOOK BACK!!!

You folks just don't know how many times you have helped me make it through a day...I know I can always find a friend on CC and I hope I have done the same for you....it is hard to live in different worlds at the same time...in one I get judged in the other I don't...the one that doesn't is my family and BT....I know I do not share a lot of personal stuff just the way I am...guess I have trust issues but, that comes from the other world. Some of you have helped me open up more about things....Jerry is always there, Kelly & Steve I highly respect (and hope we meet when they come through K-town), Kobi, PegiSue, Kathy, Cecil, Timmmy, Smack, Jim, Ron, Joyce, all you guys & gals make a difference and sometimes you never know that you did it because others just take it and use it and just don't say Thank You

So Thank You to all on CC.....you helped me make through another day!!!!!!!

So I will pass it on to someone else and try and make their world a little better.

You guys all rock, and you're in my heart.

Had a client tell me that in court years ago, as he walked out in shackles to go back to his cell when I refused to take him back and had the judge order him to rehab instead. He put a fist over his heart when the said it, and was nearly crying. (he knew it was best, but the hardest).

It stuck with me, the significance of being, "in someone's heart". You all are definitely in mine. Foerver. xx
