I get so engrossed reading all the different postings about Bonaire that I forget about the weekend chores and the "honeydo list". We are looking forward to our first trip there in June and spend alot of time reading about the wonderful diving. Oh well.. on to the chores..gotta put the scuba gear on and go clean the pool.

Chores will always wait. My plans are to meet my darlin' son at the local sushi bar.

Our snow is still melting, but as the driveway and streets are clear, for the most part, we are back to life as usual. The drifts are still pretty phenomenal, though!!

Most of my morning was spent figuring out which shorts go with which swim suits - that will be the full extent of my island wardrobe. Add another suitcase full of my dive gear and packing for Bonaire is complete!!!

Jim - you clean the pool in your scuba gear??? I've never thought of that!!! I like to take my snorkeling stuff to my baby bro's pool in Vegas. I stir up all the dust at the bottom with my fins and the filter takes the rest!

MzFish,
When are you heading down to Bonaire?? We will be there June 6 through June 13.. Actually, the pool is clean but it's a great excuse to get under the water and blow bubbles and dream of diving..

Jim, I can hear your enthusiasm and anticipation (think the carly simon song)....I remember our first trip almost nine years ago and how excited I was. Enjoy getting ready!

Jim, honey do list can wait. Since my lady has been out of town for five days I haven't worried about it at all. Fortunately for me, my list doesn't have to be finished for another ... OH NO SHE IS GOING TO BE HOME IN ABOUT 2 HOURS!!! BYE.

MzFish, enjoy your dinner. My two youngest, my sister-in-law and I enjoyed sushi and miso on Friday.

Jim,
We'll be leaving for a week on Bonaire, starting May 24. I don't know what happened, this was to be the year we stayed 2 weeks instead of just one! I am happy to be going back, even if just for a week.

73 degrees is about as good as it gets for diving in lakes here in SD (and I don't mean San Diego!).

Our dive buds go with dry suits and extend the dive season to the entire year. They LOVE diving under the ice in the winter, saying the ambient lighting from the sunshine on the ice is incredible - and there is no stirred up mud and such from the motor boats.

The idea of swimming under the ice freaks me out a 'little', so I'll stick with the warm blue waters of Bonaire for my winter diving.

You got it, Tom. The miso soup hit the spot today. Plus, I got to make some doggie day care arrangements for the Furry Child with the College Boy.

The details for the upcoming dive trip are falling together.
