I'm not sure I know how to live with hot days and a long time 'till sunset! Oh yeah, I remember, get in the pool, dummy!

Guess I'll slow cook something and do just that. :-)

Donna, I got 10 of 15, shoulda' known, as many different state plates I see here! FL has specialized plates, hardly anyone has the regular plates, and mine is this one:

I have to look at everything tomorrow. My granddaughter is 3rd in the state at reading, and she is just my stellar grandchild right now, and she overcame a birthmark (heart shaped) on her jaw, and she is just Ashlei, the smart and the beautiful, and the athletic, and nobody makes fun of her now. Here's her pic of top 3 in the state. Can you tell I'm over the top with pride for her? :-) She's my firstborn granddaughter, and we spent a lot of time with her, and he CHOSE not to have the birthmark removed at 6 yrs old. It's her heart shaped birthmark, and her mother, my daughter, told her it was an angel kiss.

Guess it was. :-)

Kathy, how beautiful Ashlei is, and I can feel your beaming pride all the way from the west coast! What an accomplishment she has achieved.
I personally think her beauty mark (I really think it is beautiful) will shine forever and not limit her in anyway, I think she is already proving that!
My son has a birth mark on his right side about the size of your palm in the shape of a butterfly. My mom passed away before he was born so I tell him she drew it on him so he would know she is always with him, he smiles and proudly shows it off to anyone! He calls it his tattoo.

Congratulations to her accomplishment! Ashlei is beautiful!

Quinn has a skin tag/bump on his left ear, it is a part of him, it certainly isn't huge. However, we are going to remove it :-(, more so in case it gets too much sun/sunburnt over the years to come - to prevent other potential problems. I do not want it removed :-(.

Eileen, we went over and over this with Ash, and she wants to keep the birthmark. We were so afraid she would be tormented by other kids...and she was, early on. :-( BUT, it made her strong. She really is sooooo smart and kind and athletic. She's head cheerleader, and top of her class, and nobody messes with her anymore. :-)

It's a perfect heart. If it was just a blob, she might want it off. But she likes the heart. :-)

Thanks to all of you for your comments. I was having a proud Mimi moment last night. :-)

Kathy,
Congratulations to you and Ashlei. Third in the state is quite an accomplishment. Reading is such a fun way to explore the world in your mind.
Ash's beauty mark is pretty, and has helped mold her strong, smart and fun personality.
