This week I'm taking cans of tuna to work for lunch. That always helps me when I'm stuck. :-) Oatmeal with blueberries for breakfast. I'm gonna be starving when I get home! Ah well, a few days of eating that light I'll get used to it.

Good luck to us all!

Hey Gang well I'm back from a great weekend, I even had a beer yesterday it was the best. Did my weigh in and doctor check Friday still can't believe I've lost 48 lbs. Did a quick weight comparison yesterday my dive gear I carry weighs 1/2 of what I do now ( so you guessed it no weight belt) but have to rely on compensator, drysuit the water was 4 degrees celc. yesterday but the funniest my weezle wear that I rely on for warmth I cam now put a small person in there as well. Well my TRI is really around the corner in 20 days boy my running has to really increase, run class tonight 6 mins. running 1 min. walk 5 times so I think I'm on target, supposed to rain hard today over an inch and didn't feel like being a drowned rat so no bike today, well seeing that I made my last target weight met anyone want to take up a challenge with me for May make the weight realistic that way you can do it I weighed 288 on Friday and by May 31 I want to be 278 anyone want to join me? well I have way too much energy so I have to burn some off talk to you all later.

Bob, I don't weigh myself, but I want to go from squeezing into my wet suit to putting on my wet suit. Then staying that way. That should equate to about 10lbs. You're on!

Bob, Putting on a tight wet suit - on a boat - in the hot sun - is no fun. Everyone else on the boat gets a chuckle watching me struggle into the darn thing, but I am so uncomfortable out of the water it's not funny.
I'll try to put it on tonight and have Terry take a picture of me and my red face in it. That will be my before picture. Can't wait for the after picture.

I'm so excited about packing for our trip to Greece (leaving on Thursday) that I'm sure I'm burning off lots of calories. Did lots of house cleaning this weekend and have some sore muscles so I was doing something differently.

I'm not sure what the food will be like when we get there. I hope I can enjoy the local cuisine without blowing it. Mediterranean cooking is supposed to be healthy. I'll be doing lots of walking and some dancing. Wow, life is exciting right now.

Joyce, hope you enjoy your trip.
Greek food, if done right is a bit lighter then one might think. Less heavy sauces used, lots of fresh vegies, but the deserts will kill you.

300-Pound Inmate Sues Jail Over Food
AP

BENTONVILLE, Ark. (April 27) - An inmate awaiting trial on a murder charge is suing the county, complaining he has lost more than 100 pounds because of the jailhouse menu.

Benton County Jail
Broderick Lloyd Laswell says he's dropped from 413 to 308 pounds in jail.

Broderick Lloyd Laswell says he isn't happy that he's down to 308 pounds after eight months in the Benton County jail. He has filed a federal lawsuit complaining the jail doesn't provide inmates with enough food.

According to the suit, Laswell weighed 413 pounds when he was jailed in September. Police say he and a co-defendant fatally beat and stabbed a man, then set his home on fire.

"On several occasions I have started to do some exercising and my vision went blurry and I felt like I was going to pass out," Laswell wrote in his complaint. "About an hour after each meal my stomach starts to hurt and growl. I feel hungry again."

But Laswell then goes on to complain that he undertakes little vigorous activity.

"If we are in a small pod all day (and) do next to nothing for physical exercise, we should not lose weight," the suit says. "The only reason we lost weight in here is because we are literally being starved to death."

The suit also asks that the county be ordered to serve hot meals. The jail has served only cold food for years.

The meals, provided through Aramark Correctional Institution Services, average 3,000 calories a day, jail Capt. Hunter Petray told The Morning News of northwest Arkansas for a story Saturday.

A typical Western diet consists of 2,000 to 3,000 calories a day.

Laswell's suit was filed without a lawyer in U.S. District Court in Fayetteville.

Donna, Thanks, but the weight I lost earlier in the year has come back. I would love to get back to that size since my clothes & wet suits fit so much better. Also, I have a birthday coming up. I will then be officially pushing 60 and don't want to deal with the health issues many people have when older and overweight.
