Morning girls! I'm just giddy today. :-) So glad it's Friday. :-)

I only work half a day today as I have an allergist's appt at 1:00 and I'm not going back to work. Gonna come home and play.

Here's a copy/paste of today's forecast:
Abundant sunshine. High 86F. Winds E at 10 to 15 mph.

I like that phrase - abundant sunshine. :-)

Hope everyone has a GREAT Friday!

Hi Eileen, Kathy!

Happy Friday Everyone! As Kathy noted, it will be a beautiful day in Florida today.
Here at work we are hosting our High School Leadership Program. Approximately 300 plus High School Student Leaders, teachers, and administrators will be in attendance. These community-minded students provide us 275 blood drives from 74 High Schools and contribute over 26,000 units of blood annually to the blood bank and the patients we serve!
It will be busy here today!!!

Kobi, I feel so bad for you and your tooth. I hope it's a sinus thing instead of a dental thing.
Yes, we have great thing with our young donors. We are teaching the young how important it is to be a blood donor as the rest of the population grows older. Plus we teach them about potential careers in blood banking, research and specializing in blood as a doctor. Great opportunities for them.
Okay, I'll get off my soap box.
How's little Bubbles?

Kobi, I get sinus toothaches all the time. Had one Wednesday - but now I know to use Afrin nasal spray and 2 motrin - and it knocks it right out. You might want to try that. I used to go back and forth from the doc to the dentist, just went thru that in February. Now they believe me. :-)

Hope you get some relief VERY soon!

Oh, my appt is just to see if the meds are working, and they are. I take xyzal at night (stops the congestion and SNORING), then pataday in my eyes in the morning, and just Afrin for the sinusy stuff. :-)

Linda, I wish I could donate blood but they can't get it from me anymore. Last time they tried my arm was black and blue down to my wrist. :-( But good luck to your group today!

Good Grief! They just brought us trays of baked goods and boxes o-Joe from D n D. There goes the diet. Don't mention this on the diet thread.

Linda, Bubbles is doing much better and back to her old mean self LOL! Scared the bejeebers out of me though earlier this week with her vomiting uncontrollably :-( Post anesthesia issues for her so they will definitely mark her chart accordingly for any future work we do on her!

Linda, you have a neat job! I'm proud of your youth and anyone who donates!!! I, too, wish I could donate. Nurses at fam doc cannot find my veins....EVER. I get mad they get frustrated and it's all NOT good :-( I know I should drink more water and get them veins out there to the surface but for reason I am just not a good candidate/patient. They use the veins in my hand....UGH!

OMG Kobi! I hate needles and getting stuck. Your last statement made my stomach lurch! I am one donation from making the 2 gallon mark, but my iron levels are too low to donate much of the time. Ugh. Time for a big steak!! At least I work at the main facility and can go to the donor room in the morning to have my levels checked before trying to donate. That saves time and trouble.

Morning all, aren't we all busy today...lol!

kobi, take care of the toof...seriously, it can turn bad quickly. I used to pooo poo folks that said a toof ache hurt till I had a really bad absessed one, man, was on vicodin for 3 weeks and antibiotics just to get it to the point they could do a root canal, I NEVER poo poo anyone now!

kathy, I've never heard of xyzal for snoring. I've been sawing logs loudly the last three or four months, and it's getting worse. Michael ends up in the guest room most of the time. I went to the doc yesterday to discuss that, and the fact that even though I'm exercising like a maniac and watching what I eat, I am still gaining weight. She said "once you hit 50, things slow down even MORE, and it's a lot harder to get the weight off"...nice, thank you HORMONES AND AGING!!!! Of course, she'll do a complete blood work to make sure it's not something else...and then she wants me to go to the sleep center and have them do a sleep study to make sure it's not sleep apnea....

ok, off to work. we head to phoenix after work for Christopher's 10th birthday party this weekend. I can't wait to see my grandaughter Katie!!!

Kobi, go see the dentist, especially since you will be going to Bonaire soon, better safe than sorry. They do have a dentist on island, but hate to see you have to be in pain on vaca.

Have a great day, off to cut the grass in front and back. Good excercise.

I saw a small "cone" of bees years ago while camping in Kansas. I noticed a football sized cluster of bees while walking around the campsite one evening before dark. I thought is was a bee hive, but the next day the whole thing was gone. Poof!!!

Kobi - reading about the blood and the veins - me too. I just tell them go for the hand, don't even look at my arms as it's useless. They cringe but I'm SO much more OK with it that way then with them "digging for gold" in my arms.

Am waiting on news from my hubby about a possible "journey" this afternoon. Let's just all cross fingers and toes that it happens because if it does - YIPPEE then I get a new toy.

Anywho - back to the grind. I've got way too much stuff to do - dang, with everything that I need to do who has time for a paying job????

Happy Friday to everyone. It is an incredible day here in SE PA. All the trees are in bloom and life has come back to Mother Earth. We had a very tough week here in school. There was some mean stuff done to a kid, and it really bothered me, as she is a sweetheart. We suspended two kids yesterday, and it got real ugly with one set of parents as their child would never do something like that, even after she admitted it. Unfreakinbeleivable. Anyway, at 3:00, I'll be down at my local watering hole having a Hefe Weizen and life will be good.

Here's a feel good story for the day:

Jerry, Michael is miserable, but I don't have a lot of sympathy right now, he refused to call the doc to see if there are other meds that can help until he sees the neurosurgeon. We have the same doc, and she told me yesterday there are other options. I'm sure he will be such a joy on our long car ride today...lol!
