What are they doing for three weeks? Buying beer? When I was around 7? on a road trip from MA to KS, we stopped at the Derby (no race that day) and they let us kids run around the track. My sister is a BIG horse freak and was in heaven.

Good AM everybody,

I am not at work - but I brught a lot of work home for the weekend. I won't do any of it today because today is supposed to be the best weather of the three days here in Maine.

Does up at 5:30 AM doing laundry, doing bills, and balancing the check book count as close to work :-) I figure if I start early I can get outside later today.

Kaarien, Yes, the Thunder Ranch folks do compete, but they love to give also. They donate being in local parades and haul Santa and Mrs. Clause around in the Christmas parade. Too bad I don't have pictures of that. My husbad works with the wife at the hospital.
They also raise another kind of draft horse.
socks
These horses were new when I took the picture. Just in from Europe and shaved. Love those 80's leg warmers.

I have a great day planned the highlight is getting my hair cut, it's all downhill from there. I was just walking around the yard thinking how beautiful it is to have a wooded lot and lots of trees for shade, then I made the mistake and looked down. God's pruning service did quite a job this last winter. I need God's pickup service but do not want God's cleanup service (during flood season a bad thing to wish for).

The ducks are safe Patrick.

Cecil, want to buy a rake for your lovely bride - cheap. All of the rakes I have bought Pam over the years, not a single one fit her hands. That's okay though I bought a new rake yesterday, an Echo Powersweep. Gonna side mount it on my cruiser. HEY, WHY NOT CLEAN THE YARD WHILE HAVING FUN.

Must get back to work, see ya later folks.

Pegi, please don't let Cliffy see the pics of my "Special Friend" Merry in yesterdays last thread. I don't want him trying to steal her away from me:-)

I've been 'playing' with my new reef fish id software :-) I even went through the tutorial (I never do that, usually just hack til I think I know it all). I got it so I don't have to lug the heavy book to Bonaire.

Does any body have an easy trick to know the difference between a juvenille jackfish and a juvenile spotted drum. The software says a dot on nose of spotted drum distinguishes it from the jackknife. But the spot vs a stripe looks so close in the pictures. And they are so tiny and my eyes so old. I am so excited about our next trip, even if it is still a long ways away :-)
