Jerry, I tuned a piano in a little girl's room this week....it was crammed to the gills with HELLO KITTY stuff. I thought of you, Dude...HELLO KITTY backpacks, HELLO KITTY bowling pins, HELLO KITTY sheets, HELLO KITTY stuffed animals. Even I was slightly nauseated..you wouldn't have lasted three minutes!

I was going thru some "Disaster Preparedness" stuff at work and found these incredible photos of hurricane Katrina. Don't know who took them, but WOW!

No, I think Jerry is doing very well now, his new meds seem to keep me away. This HKS will open the door again. That's how BOB came about.

Timmmmy, I just beg you not to do it mid May. Larry's going to Phoenix for a graduation, then I'm heading to Orlando for a conference. But it will have to be pretty soon, don't 'cha think?

I can't go May 11-16 and Larry can't go May 21-25 (Michele's graduation). Other than that, we have no "must do" plans.

Florida Maxi Meet? I'm there!

Count me in on the Maxi Meet...especially if its in Fla.

Maxi Meet - Can't be there August 9-17. Most other weekends are good for me. Terry works ever other weekend, but may be able to rearrange his schedule for one weekend.
One suggestion - meet on the east coast for some diving, too. Pompano Beach or Ft. Lauderdale.

LRAZ I luuuuuuuuuuuv Lauderdale. At least there are some nice little reefs there, and tarpon and sharks and turtles and rays and all those good things to see. And about 4 hrs from here. Probably 2 hrs from Timmmmy.

And a direct flight from Tri-Cities, TN... I'm just sayin...

Lauderdale by the Sea is very reasonably priced. You would only want to stay on El Mar Drive, though, so you could shore dive right from your place. I've found over the (many) years of going there, that you get a cheaper rate to call and reserve vs booking online.

If anyone wanted to check out the places to stay, they're all here. We've stayed at alot of them. Remember, it's OLD Florida on the strip where the good diving is...you wouldn't want to stay anywhere else though, or you'd have to drive to dive and pay for parking.

I agree if we want to dive we should do it on the east coast ....

PegiSue, it was A Little Inn by the Sea. Their website seems to be down, but it's listed on travel sites, like mine or travelocity. They changed the name of the one beside it that used to be called Tropic Ranch. Both places are ideal for reaching the reefs in no time, and just the right distance from the pier.
