"A love Story". By Christopher Moore. That's what I just finished. Now I'm reading "Bloodsucking Fiends", also by Christopher Moore.

Thanks a bunch, Cynde, for hooking me on this guy.

Also just read "The World to Come" by Dara Horn, a story with a stolen painting by Chagall at its center that is very Chigallesque. Yes it it.

Friday, three books by Roberto BolaƱo come in for me at my local book store. Woo Hoo...I'm in Book Nirvana.

You guys?

Made you look with the "You Suck" thing!

Just finished Glass Castle by Jeannette Wall - and all I can say is OMG!!! What an incredible memoire. It's an easy read but sort of intense in certain ways.

I've been more movie centric lately, only reading boring books. I suggest "Cold Comfort Farm" (it's from a book) and the very quirky John Turturro musical, "Romance and Cigarettes" It's very different.

I'm reading "In The Company Of The Courtesan" written by Sarah Dunant. It's interesting in a very Italian way. I started out not liking it but the characters work their way into your heart.

Hey CB - the old picture that you had on your profile where you were in the water - was that on Bonaire? Up in Sabadeco?

I'm making my list, guys. Thanks for the suggestions.

Seb, Cold Comfort Farm is a riot....."I saw something nasty in the woodshed"...

I just read "No Country for Old Men" after seeing the movie. Beautiful writing, but g-r-i-m. I stopped reading that guy for that reason.

Mo, it's Oil Slick....last day on the island ....no diving....

I love Christopher Moore's books. My favorites are:

"Lamb: The Gospel According to Biff, Christ's Childhood Pal"

"A Dirty Job: A Novel"

and

"Fluke: Or, I Know Why the Winged Whale Sings"

Silly, strange stuff!

The more I read Christopher Moore, the more convinced I am that he's a really good writer. Silly subject matter, but good character development and plot integration. And funny as all get out. I feel lucky that I just discovered him a little bit ago, so I have several to read yet...

CB,you're welcome:-) Amy, I love Lamb, Fluke, The stupidest Angel, and The Sequined Love Nun (based loosley on Mary Kay cosmetics)...lol..

CB, did I give any of those to you when you were down here last year????

Have't read A Dirty Job....Coyote Blue (or Coyote something)...just couldn't get into it so I never finished it...the first one.

CB, the book you gave me is on the boat, it's my "boat reading book"..

I think A Dirty Job is my favorite to date, but I haven't read your favorites yet, Cynde. You didn't give me any Christopher Moore. I understand...I have a terrible time parting with books.

The book I keep in the car, my "car reading book", is called How to Cheat at Everything, by a reformed con man...

Has anyone ever read any of Tim Dorsey's books? The bookstore 3 doors down from me has a bunch of them and they look interesting...?

Have a great night and be good - read well.

I've got to read the most exciting APICS Certified Supply Chain Professional Module 2 this evening. Hopefully I'll get through at least 2 sections of it.

Night ya'll.

I spend a lot of time commuting back and forth to work in the car, so I get Books on Tape/CDs from the library. I just finished "The Kite Runners" today, and it was very poignant. One of those books you keep thinking about.

Jane - that one is on our book club lest for this coming year. I have had it for a while but have not read it. Looking forward to it though.
