I'm here (for a minute)...heading out to see Dylon for a bit before our flight.

The hotel we stayed at is right by the San Anotnio river, a beautiful place, lots of ducks, squirells, birds. We are on the quiet side, not riverwalk so it is very peaceful. We took a long walk last night and I spotted a red cardinal! I did get a couple pics I'll post when i get home.

I've been up with the kids. Kira was running a little temperature last night and this morning, so we're holed up on the couches. Their Mom is at a writer's conference in Jacksonville, and will be back this afternoon. Then I'll really be back to peace and quiet.

After 3 weeks of playing with my daughter, I have lots of housework to tackle! It'll be a busy week for me.

We have sunshine here, Pegi Sue. But it's been coming and going! I hope your sky clears up. So - do you have any of those photos of Kayla at age one on the bearskin rug to show the new BF?

Hello everyone! I'm here for a bit, then taking Alison back to Davis for her third quarter...can't believe how quickly the freshman year is flying by! HAHA Gail, Pegi don't make her mad or you might not see the bf again!
bob, I'm packing for Fiji when I get back..did a little lightroom uploading yesterday, might need a little schooling...Cynde say Hi to Dylon for us!

I'm here :-) I posted about the fish dinner on yesterday's thread. It was really Yummo!!! And I say that with all surprise. I mean it even had a few little fish bones (which always kind of worries me) but it was good. The sauce OMG!!!
Thanks everyone. I'm looking forward to learning more about cooking healthy fish dishes (sorry fishies!).

Guy is gone on duty for 3 days straight but I've got so much on my todo list I don't think I'll even have time to miss him (Just Kidding!!!). I've got a mound of laundry, vacuuming and a kitchen to finish painting. PLUS I got 4 new cookbooks yesterday :-) :-) :-) They were all on sale so my 4 books cost less than Guy's 1 book on Ghengis Khan.

Babs, can't wait to hear about Fiji. How's Alison liking school? She's such a nice girl - you done good!

I'm here. Beautiful day today!
We went for a walk last night, it was warm and a nice breeze, so we went twice around the lake. Larry and my friend were racing, power walking. :-) She pulled a butt muscle! :-):-):-)

Today is just a lazy day. Going to get a pedicure then get in the pool. Hope everyone has a nice day!

Thanks Roy...Jerry got that sandwich going yet?
I have a yummy bacon sandwich I just resurrected from the past...
One slice of bread, toasted and buttered. Place one layer of chicken breast, bleu cheese crumbles, top with bacon and bake at 400 for about 10 minutes until the bacon is done (or broil until bacon crisp which works better for me)
YUMMY....(noooooo not fattening...hahahahaha)

Now I gotta figure something out for food :-)
Okay Roy your turn... I did an hour, 4 miles plus a few laps warm up and cool down burn 202 fat cals/647 cals :-) That was my first time out since being sick, so I'm happy!
Oh and I watched the silliest 1980's scarey movie with a very young Tom Hanks, Mazes and Monsters. OMG it was so bad it was like watching a train wreck... you just couldn't turn away.
Did I mention I love blue cheese.... hee hee!!!

Well Boom....this was an all food weekend. I'm not going to even think about how much training I would need to work off all of the bad stuff we had - but I will say that everything tasted very yummy this weekend! We went to a local restaurant on Friday, kind of a mix/match menu, and ate way too much! But it was great! I had broiled scrod, Wes had a whole catfish AND a reuben, not to mention appetizers, soup and dessert. Then Saturday morning we tried another little local restaurant (looking for a new breakfast place as our favorite one is closed until fall) and had great omelets. Saturday night, we went out to a FABULOUS little (6 tables) Mexican restaurant. Bien Trucha - owned and operated by one family with food to die for!!! They serve tapas style so we ordered two appetizers (guacamole with blueberries and peppers, and chorizo con queso), ensalda verde, 5 different taco plates (fish, 2 steak, mushroom, and pork), one chorizo torta, and lots of drinks! It was a riot and very good. We waited 2 hours for a table but it was well worth it. All in all a very good food weekend.

I'm sitting here in the kitchen nook looking up things online and all of the sudden a bird comes walking in through the front door :-) Cute thing for sure but can't have him in the house. I shoo-ed him out but he's still hanging around the patio.
Hope the cats don't find him!

I've done my hour Tara, thanks for the kick in my proverbial :-)

I forgot my weekly weigh in this morning, so not too sure how the weight is, so will have to wait till tomorrow for the latest update. The last 3 weeks I've been keeping steady at 94Kgs

Babs that Buttie is definitely out of bounds until I get under 90Kgs

Timmmmy there's some flicky material on downtown cam at 1600hrs

Tara, the bird probably just wants it's picture taken:-)

It was 81 over in the community pool, next door. Just right. When the kids left, we took the partition floaty thing down, and swam laps....felt so good to get a great workout, and then float with the sun to my face and cool water under me. Was magnificent. :-)

For dinner tonight, I'm thawing T bones. I think a good steak, scrumptious salad and baked potato with butter buds and no fat sour cream and chives will do.

:-)

I had a great weekend, and it's not over yet! Still just 7:04 and the sun has not set yet. OMG, it's 7 something and no wine yet. I'm in summer PJ's now, just out of the shower, so going back in there and pour a glass, put dinner on and get back out there for the grand finale.

Bought cheerios for the ducks. Time to scatter some and bring the babies home. :-) Ducks love cheerios.

G'night all!

Supposed to be the first of my days off today - not - Inventory!! Did 9 hours today, and will be back at it again tomorrow. Will get my next 'weekend' next Sunday / Monday.

Good news - kitchen is almost completely finished!! At least it is finally usable. Just 1 more piece of cabinetry to be installed and a bit of clean up, touch up work.

Have a great evening.

AFTER swimming and those steaks, we walked. Wow, I love spring weather, when there's a nice breeze to blow your hair dry as you SWEAT!

Larry took some pics of my newest orchids while Frances and I were walking. I guess I could share. He also took some very cool video of the ducks coming in to eat the cheerios, and of a lone white pelican on a pink lake. Absolutely beautiful. sigh Life is made of things like these, or even days like these. :-)
