Quite a few cool (for NE speakers cool means good/great but also out in front, ahead of the curve) things in the last few weeks. A few that come to mind, Dylan, Jim's son and my nephew in training for the military, Boom's hubby, three eggs in the eagle's nest, spring may be coming, Alan and Joan's ambassadorship, Kaarien's back, Bob (well at least in his little mind) and I'M GOING TO BONAIRE NEXT WEEK.

I'm sure there are others.

And for those that insist on quantifying everything, the accepted units for coolness are Fonzies.

Becky we'll be waiting at the gate for you, rested and excided. We can compare paleness.

As far as the Fonzie scale I believe it is a bit subjective, although it seems a 1-10 scale makes the most sense. With a ten being Fonzie in the early shows and 5 being when he jumped the shark.

The ultimate in coolness has to be when Fonzie was out in the wild and the critters were making a huge racket, and he went Heyyyyyy and all was quiet.

Cecil and Becky, way too cool. I wish the hell I was going to Bonaire right now. My cool is going up to Connecticut for the weekend to spend a couple of days with some very old cool buds, doing some very cool things. Tonight is the Marine Corps Mess Night that I talked about on another thread. It should be hilarious. I'll take pictures and try to figure out how to post them when I get back.

But I may be shopping for dive gear this weekend if all goes well. Another event may cancel this shopping trip, but I'm hoping it won't.
Since I can only dream of diving I'll attach a cool picture I took while diving. See if you can guess which wreck it is.

Gail, I agree with Kobi, that is off of the cool chart.

Can I inject a "WOO-HOO" here? Gonna anyway. Spoke with my sister Marilyn (aka Mayo) for over two and a half hours last night. Hard to say "Good night" and hang up the phone when her reason for calling was to tell me that HER latest test came back clean:-) Mayo is a survivor of breast cancer, next month is her official SIXTH YEAR ANNIVERSARY:-) That girl is going to be crushed by hugs from her bros when we are all together at Pam's and my place on Easter:-) Life is good, hell no - LIFE IS GREAT!!!

LRAZ,

The Tibbits are a VERY prominent family on Cayman. Did you mean off TO the Caymans? If so, are they any relation?

If you did indeed mean off of, why is that cool?

I know everyone is thinking the Hooker, but is that a pic of the destroyer off of Brac?

Tad,
It's been a few years since I took that photo. I couldn't remember which of the three sister islands it was sunk off of. The Keith Tibbits is a Russian destroyer sunk off of Cayman Brac.
I thought it was cool because I was diving the wreck.

Tom,

That is WAY COOL!! All families deal with cancer, and when your sister, or anyone else, smacks it in the face, and tells it to get the hell out, well........that does indeed make my day!!

Ever heard of a mortgage burning party? Dad has been cancer free for 18 years, and when he goes in for a checkup, and comes back clean, we have a diagnosis burning party. Got the original from the doctor.

May sound sappy, but everyone tears up, thanks God, and then gets smashed!!

Freddie,

I think you are implying I don't read my lesson plans, which I don't!! I need to pay more attention... my bad!!

Like Jimmy B said back in the 70's, I don't want to hear that Sh...t in the middle of the album!! All I care about is that one song!!

I've dove it twice, but from Little Cayman. Always stay with Gladys at Pirates Point. Never stayed on Brac.

Linda, that is a very nice Bike!!

Windy twilight here, but it's cool, and so is the sound of rain on the tin? roof of the lanai. :-) And I don't have to cook tonight, that's cool. And I agree Kaarien back in our midst is very cool, as we've been concerned! Finally I get to book my own trips, that's cool. :-) Got 3 to do for us. :-):-):-) Finally got paid for one I booked in Dec., that's really cool. lol

Hey, you all are cool. :-)

Oh, and daylight savings time is cool! I like long days after work, and sunset in the pool. Called for the big cleanup and they'll do it Monday. Bob's mess of all my bananas and papayas dying threw plant litter into the pool bottom. But the plants/trees are coming back great, and that, restoring my Eden, is very cool.

The coolest thing that happened today is I heard from an old friend after a long absence. It made me smile. And of course waking up and seeing the wonderful faces of my family is way cool too...oh and I got a new really cool hairdo, tried something a little different and it turned out a'ight (that's cool on the streets these days). Snow and hail NOT cool, mean people also NOT cool. But in the end it's all good.

Yes Pegi Sue, it's still snowing and blowing. Had to shovel a path for Oz to go outside and he's a fairly big dog (Aussie). Drifted 3 feet up the door. He's not happy :-( either! Snow blower broke a belt so the GUYS are out shopping! Gotta love that. No Corona Bob, but we have margaritas, no shortage of ice!

Sorry, only the song.

It's beautiful though, your world, in ways. My ferocious, howling wind finally died down and it's peace again.

Bob, I feel for ya, just can't reach..... over the snow!!! :-( :-( Latest storm started Friday - about 2 PM. Just before afternoon rush hour - 4 PM, it started to stick to the pavement. Wet pavement turned to iced pavement. Snow continued - very light overnight, then got hevy through the day. Have a little over 6 inches of new snow down now, plus the drifting from the high winds. Actually had whiteout conditions on my drive home tonight. Oh, and I just love Weather Guessers!!! NOT!! Originally calling for us to get a foot, or a little less of snow when this storm is over - has changed to be a foot and a half, plus the drifting!!!

I WANT SPRING!!!!!!!!!!!

:-) Bill - waiting til Sunday morning to fix the snow thrower!! :-) :-)
