About This Holiday

Waffles were sold on the streets of Paris during the 12th century. They gradually spread across Europe and became very popular in Germany and Holland. It was the Dutch who brought waffles to American during the founding of New Amsterdam (New York City). And yes, the indentions are only to keep syrup from running off the edges.

And here is morning, at last, in Bonaire.

I couldn;t sleep and eventually got up at 6 and spring cleaned the computer area and my desk. So much paper!! Am now starting to flag

It's a beautiful sunny day here in Maine. And yet I am inside cleaning toilets, doing washes, and vaccuming etc.... Ever hear the story about the guy with a 1000 marbles? Today I should take a marble. (if you don't know the story - forgive my reference and too long to repeat today) Although I love my home and family and enjoy my life, I do seriously envy those who are able to enjoy the peace and the uw life of Bonaire. Oh well, if I hurry through all my to do's, maybe I can take a quiet walk on the beach late this afternoon when all the tourists and traffic has slowed down a little. enjoy every minute 'you all'

Jake and Linda, as soon as you are able to go out for a quiet peaceful dive, enjoy it first for yourselves - you deserve it, and then blow bubbles for a short while for all of us. Take your time uw and see all the amazing life. And if you see a juvenile spotted drum or a tiny arrow crab think of me. take care, catch ya later, Denise K.

Hi Denise, Howz the pooch? These guys are getting hooked on A/C. When we come in the house they run up to the computer room and wait for me to start up the cool air!

Did a lot of housework this morning, with BoxerBob's help (!!), and am feeling like I did a couple hundred situps. What is it about weekends and housework? Bleah!

I like the idea of the virtual beach day, but let's stay decent PLEASE....

Ya know, Martin, I've never really been to a nudie beach. I think that if I had my life to live over again - I'd have checked one out before my body hit 40 years old. LOL Too late now!



There was a nude beach near my home when I lived in FLA - Playalinda Beach was very close to the Kennedy Space Center. Wonder if those low flying jets were checking it out when they buzzed my neighborhood?
