Good Morning BT diet/healthy eating friends. I'm feeling a bit anxious and discouraged this morning..no more downward movement with the weight even though I have added exercise...I DO know that it will continue if I stick to it and I DO know that muscle weighs more that fat and that inches often come off when the weight is "stuck"...but I'm in a kind of discouraged mood all around today and a pound loss on the scale would certainly help that...oh well! :-(

Started with my light eng muf, pb and a tiny bit of j this am. Have women's prayer and an oil change appt for the day...will resist the urge to binge to feel better...that only ends in guilt and FAT!

Donna, you are always here as our cheerleader and coach. You keep us going. You have done so well with this, I am so proud of you!:-)
Do not let the fact that you didn't lose today bring you down. Maybe take two days off from weighing yourself...Just eat like you've been eating and don't think about it. Maybe give yourself a small treat today, and don't beat yourself up for it. You have done so well.
We can't binge. I've been fighting that. That's my biggest downfall! I'm 1/2 belimic!LOL(sp?):-)
We all love you and thank you for your encouragement everyday. You keep US going!:-)

Thank you so much Pegisue...I needed that!! I will be good, I promise!! I am just in a down mood for a multitude of reasons.

Thanks for YOUR encouragement!! I am praying for you and your family.

I could eat a pound of chocolate right now..but I'm NOT going to, I promise!! :-)

Went to the gym last night, the lady I trained with (when I go) gave a workout program when I am in the house, told me I had to drink more water (5 bottles at least), she said I was eating right - she thinks is lack of exercising and water. Monique said that to continue writing on the journal, drinking more water and doing more exercising - I'll get a price - she said she'll give a free 30 minute workout!!!

Donna thanks for starting this.

PegiSue - thinking about you - Hugs

Morning Everyone :-)
Donna - we all have our ups & downs - you'll get through it. Sometimes a little "reward" doesn't hurt.
PegiSue - continued hugs & prayers for you & your family
Vira - you go girl :-) Lots of water is good & helps to curb the appetite. Glad you went to the gym last night :-)

Breakfast is the usual - plain oatmeal - etc., etc.
Lunch - leftover mako with cauliflower & a salad w/lite dressing & fat-freee sugar-free chocolate pudding later in the day.

Everyone's doing great - keep up the good work :-)
Hugs

Yesterday, I flopped, had a really bad day, so ate what the heck I wanted to. Had some really bad heartburn last night due to it, payback I guess. So, today is new day, just made some sugar free jello, doing Atkins now. The only way for me. Will let ya know how that goes, gotta a countdown to get ready for. :-)

Hey Patrick, thanks for the call, nope, nothing again this time around for us. :-( Forgot to email ya last night.

Hee, hee, pickled eggs, eh? Now I know where all that heartburn I had came from! Was wondering what caused that! :-)

Still no news on the permit yet. Hoping to get news tonight, better get some news soon or I am going to bust!

Morning All!
Donna, don't let yourself get too caught up in feeling blue... that's all part of actually LIVING life! You have to have the downs to enjoy the ups. Embrace it!!! and know that this too will pass :-) :-) (A teaspoon of sugar helps the medicine go down, the medicine go down, the medicine go down.... said in my best Julie Andrews voice :-)) and yes, you can use this against me when I'm whining!

We had a really great time at the city college track last night - 3 couples and 1 single. I decided to jog and ended up doing 2 miles (jog 1 lap, walk 1 lap) :-) :-) Even better, Guy liked it so much that we're going to go again tonight!

AND, I realized last night that my SPOON is fitting better :-) :-) :-) HeeHee!!! About 12:30 I shifted about in bed and hubby, being the snuggler that he is, spooned up and DagGonnit if I didn't fit a little bit better!!! HaHa

He's making oatmeal for us for breakfast and bringing it in to work, then we'll have leftover Paprikash for lunch, and pork chops for dinner.

Life is good Donna and you can take a lot of credit for my feeling that way --- this thread :-)

You can also take credit for my jeans fitting a little loose today!! That made me feel good when I put them on!! And all of my rings are loose!! And my watch is like a bangle bracelet today!:-)
I just ate my 7th salad in 4 days...good thing I like salads! And I'm drinking lots of water. I haven't had time to exercise, but that is coming REAL SOON!! I might actually fit in my Bonaire clothes soon!!:-)

Has anyone ever heard of "Tahitian Noni"? It's a liquid dietary supplement. From what the lady just told me, it'll cure what ails ya! I read the bottle, doesn't really say what it's for, but has been used for centuries, dating back to ancient times. No where does it say WHAT it's for. Just wondering if anyone's ever had this...

Hi Pegisue...and Tara and Debbie and Freddie and Patrick and Eileen and Judy and Vira and Tom (where's Kobi!??) Anyhow...thanks for all your encouraging words. I'm doing well. I got to talk an actual WALK OUTSIDE today...I was at the car dealer getting an oil change, so I was in an actual town with sidewalks and stuff (I live in the woods), so I braved the chilly temps and took a walk to a little grocery store to kill time (and buy healthy food!)..and then walked back and then my car was done.

Pegisue..never heard of that stuff..

By the way, GOOD JOB EVERYONE!!
I had tuna w/FF cheese on diet bread for lunch and 100 cal cupcakes for snack...this morning my "splurge" was a little peice of something homemade someone brought to prayer (cracker w/chocolate on it)...it was good and I only had a little! I'm making a chicken casserole for dinner and will have a little of that with salad.

Great news about the better fitting clothes. I had a bunch of doctors chedk-ups this week and everyone says I'm doing great. Keep up the good work. Donna, you will see a change. Don't let yourself down for a few bites of food.

PegiSue, I have seen that stuff advertised but don't know anything about it. A quick Google search turned up this webpage but I haven't read it carefully. You're not going to get somethin' for nuttin'
noni site

I just looked it up online and still can't figure out what it's for or what it does. A lady gave me a bottle of it and told me to drink 2 oz. everyday for a month and see how I feel. I'm hoping her plans were that I'd feel "better"...I don't know. From what I read, it's not bad for you. And people have been using it forever for...something...still don't know what...

PegiSue, look at my 5:35 post. I have a link to a site that isn't selling Noni products.

yeah, I just read that, interesting.... The lady came in here, and didn't even try to sell me anything. Then she came back with a bottle of it and GAVE it to me to try for a month and see if it helps with the dieting and neck pain that I've had for 13 years. I find it VERY hard to believe that something can help both. Or all the other things I just read that they claim it does. Actually I DON'T believe it. I'll try it for a few days and see if I notice ANYTHING. Heck, it was free. But, if I want to buy it after a month it's $45 a bottle!!! I won't be needing it after a month, I'll be cured of everything that could be wrong or go wrong with me! I'm set for life!
I'M CURED!! I CAN SEE!! I CAN WALK!!

I'll have to say that it may not hurt you, but healthy eating is still the best road to good health....although I don't always take my own advice, believe me!!

Good evening ladies :-)

I'm really enjoying all this exercising and healthy eating with you all :-):-)

I had a testing session tonight as I'm off to Osnabruck on friday till sunday and therefore won't be able to do any crosstrainer till sunday, I will be going on some long walks though.

in tonights session I broke through the 20km mark and over 460 cals burnt in the 60 minute session, phew but I think I'll only be doing that once a week.

my wife measured my ...erm.. midriff :-):-) apparently it is 1cm smaller!!! but the main proof will be apparent at the weigh in on saturday. :-)

That Noni juice looks like a Non starter!

Roy, you always inspire me :-)
We were supposed to go back to the college track for a jog, but Guy conveniently 'forgot' his sweats. I'm going to pledge to burn at least 400 cals on the tmill when I get home - just for you my German Friend!
ps- your wife sounds like such a doll. Someday we'll all have to meet up in Bonaire
birds of a feather

Tara, you are FUNNY!!:-)
So, now, what does Jerry give this to Caymus for??? I sipped my 2 oz. of it, it's not too tasty, but not too bad... I just wonder WHAT it really is, and why did she just give it to me? Maybe it's highly addictive and she knows that by the end of a month I'll be going crazy and buy a case of it. I'll be sitting at my easel with my Noni in a paper bag, chugging away. Maybe I'll give out shots to customers. Hey, I bet I could get people to come back, since it's so addictive. OR, maybe I've already lost my mind from the 2 oz. I drank and that's why I'm just rambling on & on like this...
Hmmmmm.....
:-)

Wikipedia
Noni Juice
The plant flowers and fruits all year round and produces a small white flower. The fruit is a multiple fruit that has a pungent odor when ripening, and is hence also known as cheese fruit or even vomit fruit.
