Is it true that all the bars are closed tonight and that the only place where something is happening for New Years is Buddy Dive?

Not sure, but that is how it was last year. We had planned on staying at Eden Beach, until the waitress informed us that night that they were closing and told us to go to Buddy Dive. I'm glad she did because we had a blast at Buddy Dive.

Thanks - can you let me know what kind of entertainment there is at Buddy Dive? Is there music and dancing?

Last year they had a very good sized dance floor and their theme was dance music throughout the decades. It was a lot of fun. The party went way into the wee hours. They used a drink ticket system, where you bought tickets at a booth and then cashed them in at the bar. It worked pretty well. At midnight, you will want to be looking out over the water. We saw an incredible fireworks show at Buddy's but also could see one up north and one down south from our vantage point. Overall, it was a great location and lots of fun.
