Gail is in Connecticut! Burrrr! Cold, snow, ice.......

It was my oldest sister's 60th surprise birthday weekend, and we've been going every day! The party was Saturday, Sunday afternoon was a tour back in time in Old New London, called Holly and Ivy. My niece was one of the girls in the skit from the 1700's. We saw Clay Aiken's Christmas show at the casino Sunday night, and on Monday had the Girl's Casino night! Tonight is one more gathering! Phew!

Will be home late tomorrow.

But it's been fun. I acclimated after a day or so, but had a good coat, hat, scarf, and gloves.

I've been having a ball with the 6 sisters and 2 brothers - (one brother hasn't bothered to come to any of the gatherings so it's his loss.) We'll just pretend that we're 9 instead of 10!

I loved meeting all of the new great nieces and nephews that had been born in the last 6 years!

My sister left me her car today, so it's the first day I'll drive the icy roads in many many years! I'm going to go put a poinsietta on Ma and Dad's grave, visit the older brother who was the first of the 11 to pass on, and swing by the grandparents gravesite too. I remember so well as a child going with Ma to tend the graves of Grandma and Grandpa. Now it's my turn to be the grave tender.

One of my sister's has invited everyone over to her house tonight for pizza and subs, or grinders as we call them up here, for last goodbyes and pictures!

Then home tomorrow, if the ice holds off and the plane can get off the ground in Providence!

I'll be back on line on Thursday! I have a lot of catching up to do! See you all then!

Have fun in the snow, Gail. :-)
I was talking to a friend/client in Michigan tonight, and she was talking about frozen ponds and ski resorts across the road and all the snow, and I'm booking her Caribbean cruise over Christmas. She said "What's that noise?" It was tweens swimming in the community pool, having a good time. It was 85 and the pool is heated. She couldn't believe it. :-) I'm getting a solar cover for our pool. I miss sunsets in the pool!

I think I am last on Bob's list! Hope he doesn't cause you much havoc, Gail. :-)

Hmmm....Bob never made it to Illinois. Maybe that is a good thing. The weather is so bad here right now, I wouldn't want him getting stuck. LOL! He made it Becky's house, that was probably close enough. :-) Poor Becky had to sell her house after that one...
