Well, Rosanne didn't have enough cash...so Michael and I are still in the hooskcow....lol!

It went GRAND...we KILLED them with KINDNESS as my grandma would say:-) Actually, it all went smooth::-):-):-):-):-):-):-):-):-):-)

Spent the day with my grandkids...and that Katelynn is a DOLL...omg...I could just eat her up...she LOVES the elevator at the Hilton...the glass ones...I think we went up and down about 20 times...and they put their Christmas trees up...it's all good. We have the boys tonight so Sarah and Chris can have a night off...ordering room service and just loving the grandkids as much as we can....life is good:-):-):-):-):-):-):-):-):-):-) I will post pics later...almost in tears over how cool being a grandparent is...it's just awesome:-):-):-):-):-):-):-):-):-):-)

Later:-)

Yeah! I'm so glad your day went well. It is all about the kids, and their well being should be put first. (Maybe the ex is finally growing up!)

Now you understand why I keep my 2 most every Saturday night - it's not so much to give their parents a break, but because I truly love the time I spend with those kids.

Just waiting for pictures now! :-)

That is great news Cynde, just another example of something we fret over way more than the actual experience. I do it all the time, but it is great grist for self amusement. He who can laugh at himself will always be amused.

My classic example was a broke car that was sitting in my driveway for a year in college. I thought it had a serious problem, one day I took another look and fixed it in 15 minutes. For irony, I put it back on the road and had it totalled a week latter by some idiot running a stop sign.

Well, the happiness has not worn off...lol! Sarah called last night, it was SO funny, she was worried that we couldn't handle the boys...I kept telling her that we raised her and Dylon...they were angels, and slept in till 10:30! Sarah thought we were lying, I'm like...no...she's like "were they up late" i'm like...no....things they will do for oma and opa but not for mom and dad:-)

we asked if they wanted breakfast room service, or go down to the restaurant...it was a resounding ROOM SERVICE...lol!

AND...I swear, taking pictures of katelyn is like trying to take a pic of one of our dogs...you think you have the perfect pose and by the time you snap the camera...she's moved!

I'll try to check in later and post some pics:-)

Thanks again for all your support, you guys are great.

tom, can you believe I was upset at becoming an oma a couple years ago???

Thanks Tribs...it was a thanksgiving miracle! I was the only one helping the ex in the kitchen...she was STRESSED to the max...poor thing. Everyone else was drinking and playing darts or lazing on the couch watching Tv...she gladly accepted my help and I made the creamed corn and did a lot of dishes...she called me an "angel"...ha...I knew that...lol! Sarah did tell me the next day that Michelle was really thankful and appreciative of my help...my grandma taught me right is all I can say:-):-):-):-):-)

"she was STRESSED to the max"....well, I think I said, in a previous thread, something about letting the ex be nervous and not you. HA! She deserved the stress and guilt trip and you deserved the wonderful time with the grandkids. I love the photos and am so glad you had a great time.
