...'cause I think that's where everyone is!:-)

There's actually a breeze and it's cool outside! I took Calypso out this morning and couldn't believe how good it felt.

On the news they said Tom was cold today.... How about you?

Good morning Pegi Sue & others to follow. We're being heathen's today and skipping church. Rob's sister, hubby and youngest daughter were here for the evening. They came up for parent's weekend at James Madison University where their eldest daughter is in her first year! JMU is in our town so we can keep an eye on her :-) Family spent the night, took us to dinner and I cooked breakfast this AM:-) They are now heading back south to our hometown and their home.

Love seeing them as we are blessed with a very close family. The Yorkies, Bits and Bini, enjoyed having three more faces to kiss :-)

We awoke to a chilly morning here. It's only 45 in our piece of VA paradise. BRING on fall though cause I can't wait to see the leaves change. Yippee......

Had some bad news, Laura, a child I taught who had a brain tumour, has died in her sleep aged 18. She should have started university last Monday. Please give your kids a big hug from me today.

Oh Julia...I am sorry to hear this!!! How terribly sad and so very young! Please know we'll be praying for Laura's family all the way over here in VA.

Hugs,
Kobi

Julia, big hugs coming your way. News like this always brings tears to my eyes, I can't even imagine the grief of losing a child. I will give Rianna and Rajan extra love today. Take care.

How sad, Julia. My daughter is sleeping right now (obviously a teenager), I just checked on her. I can't imagine not being able to do that.
Hugs to you...

Where's everyone at??? There's no way EVERYONE has a life... I'm not painting, just cleaning, then checking in on here. Well, my breaks aren't very fun if I can't eavesdrop on peoples conversations...
C'mon, entertain me!:-)

Well lets see, I got a note from an old friend that I haven't heard from in 15 years! I was happy to say the least, Ummmm, I am going to watch the Raiders game in few minutes, maybe I'll live on the edge and keep my pajamas on all day! I might even do something crazy like have a beer while watching the game! I know this is extremely exciting PegiSue, try not to be jealous! :-)

I'm not jealous. I'm still in my pajamas! And the house is getting clean. If I turned the tv on I'd do nothing the rest of the day. Which isn't a bad thing....I could watch football and drink beer!! Hey, I'm jealous!!:-)

I was wanting to open the windows today, but as usual, it has gotten hot out (90 degrees) and it's pretty humid now. Ah, Florida in the fall...

Well, my excitement has come to a stand still, the Raiders game is delayed due to lightening and rain. They are in Miami! Geez! We did book a trip to Cancun, staying at the Fiesta Americana, which should be fun but not Bonaire! It was a family decision, we are looking forward to visiting the Mayan ruins. Still in my jammies and having some coffee right now, I'll switch to beer once the game starts! :-) It was cool this morning and heating up slowly but won't get any where near 90! WOOHOO, the game is going to start again....gotta go

I've been making table decorations for our Silver Wedding party. I have made silver party favour boxes decorated with white ribbon, a silver 3D heart and a silver 25 and filled them with chocolates, party poppers and streamers. Today I have photocopied lots of our wedding photos. I have laminated them to use as placemats for our family celebrations. It's been a lot of work but I have enjoyed doing them and people can take them home as a souvenir if they wish.

Julie, I would love to see you craft work, I love these types of things! I am so happy for you and Bob, you truly seem so in love and happy, I wish you many happy more years! When is the celebration?

Julia, RosAnne couldn't talk enough about how nice you and Bob were when she got back from Bonaire.

Well I've finished my paperwork and now need to go out and gut a piano so I can start restringing next week. God, the GLAMOUR of my life! Not. I'm going back to a seminar at Steinway in the middle of October, and have to get this piano done before I leave, so...weekend work.

RosAnne has been counseling me on how to look like an adult for this seminar, by the way. She is a very good Fashion Guidance Counselor, and I need one.

OK, out the door (in jeans and t-shirt) to work some more...

Glad you had a good day Kobi. Pete and I watched the F1 race that we taped...we'll learn to tape it for 3 hours next time. We missed the final laps so I had to watch the last five minutes this evening.

We went to a folk arts & crafts festival down the street so we got a little exercise in. Then I grilled lunch and have done laundry, etc. Of course Pete is gone again but it looks like he'll be able to stay home next week - after we come back from Annapolis.

Julia - first congrats on your anniversary and secondly I want to see pics please...party and favors.

OK - gotta run as I have to study. I've decided that instead of going for my MBA I will take an APICS course and get my CSCP - Certified Supply Chain Professional - rating. That costs less and is more in line with what I do and like to do...well other than the creative things - but there's always room for that in my life.

ciao

Mara....you were a busy chikadee today too :-) Glad you got to see your race; Nascar got rain shortened. Never a way to win a race!:-(

Good luck with your studies. Give me a jingle before week end :-)

Hey Everyone!!!!
It's hard getting back in the swing and I'm no where even near the plate yet, so put down your popcorn and hotdogs :-) :-)

We had a wonderful day today - we were BOTH up by 6am (still on Bon time) so we had coffee on the patio watching the sun come up, then we took Ms. Rasta to the beach for an long, slow walk. It was so picture perfect.... ahhhhhhhhh
then we came back to the patio where I made Huevos Rancheros for breakfast :-) We enjoyed the morning paper - Guy took a nap - I laundered (and still am), went grocery shopping and now need to make dinner :-) :-)
Life is Grand!!!!

Julia, I too would love to see your handy work. Your celebration will be just lovely :-) Prayers to your friend's family. I think of you often when I hear of an ill child -- you are a blessing in this world.

PegiSue, I just have to say that you make me laugh out loud!!! I've been reading over some of the threads - trying to catch up but that will never happen in entirety. Girl, you have found your footing!!! Thanks for the guffaws :-)

Mara (sounds like Tara said like Gone with the Wind, not me!!) you are such an inspiration. But dang, girl!!! You make me tired!!!! I bought a couple of beautiful simple pieces of jewelry on Bonaire and thought of you in the process (wait a minute that didn't come out right... I mean local artist - handmade, beautifully done pieces). Some day I hope we get to create together :-)

Cynde, how's Geezella????? Think I'll just have to call on that one.... but know I've been saying my prayers that she's feeling better.

Kobi, your niece is even more beautiful than she was 2 weeks ago. It's a good thing your hubby is so strong - he'll need to fight off the boys :-)

TRIBS!!!!! Wish I had been there for your weekend fun.... I'm sorry that my plans to join you cyberly didn't work out :-) You know that Guy & I wish you and Wes sheer joy and to love each other with all of your hearts - forever!!!

Okay, gotta run and feed the brood. Then work on pictures until Desperate Housewives... do you think the blond is really dead??? and did the tiny cutie get caught by her newly wed husband with her ex???? and what was that scene with the knife in the red-head's belly, will she be found out to be a fake-preggo????
Gotta watch!!

Tara, glad I can make you laugh! It's a goal I have, and I MUST laugh also. I've taken life too seriously in the past, well, that was NO fun at all. And I thank God everyday for George. He makes me laugh all the time!:-)
Honey, anything else, well it's just a hair-flip!

Congrats again.
