I enjoy being a Gemini...I have a VERY good (male) friend who's birthday is only 12 days from mine (he's a Gemini, also)...it is AMAZING how we think alike, feel alike...just like having a twin.

Meryl,

And a good thing too. You know how dangerous they can be!! smiley

Of course we all selectively pay attention to the positive aspects of what a horoscope says and reject utterly those negative ones. Or at least assume the bad ones belong to others of the same sign. (Or is that just me!!)

Here are some pearls I have saved regarding Scorpio just so you know how this whole thing can encourage vanity.

SCORPIO

Intensity is your middle name, your best friend and your guiding light. Loved ones and close associates are lucky to have such a force of nature on their side. Opponents might as well go home and hide.

Scorpio is all business. Put your sheer force of presence toward networking and filling in the blanks. Those in power smile on your efforts and might even lend some of their influence to your cause.

Finally! A game plan,

How to become a millionaire.

'It was really quite simple. I bought an apple for 5 cents, spent
the evening polishing it, and sold it the next day for 10 cents.
With this I bought two apples, spent the evening polishing them,
and sold them for 20 cents. And so it went until I had amassed
$1.60. It was then that my wife's father died and left us a
million dollars.'

Better than the one I've got now. smiley

Well, go away for a few weeks and there's a sudden interest in the occult...(Okay, so astrology isn't really the occult...)
How are you all? Bill, what were you doing in Potomac, MD? We just got back from Gettysburg, DC and did a few stops in Maryland as well. Beautiful, fascinating country! This Aries could have spent a few more weeks there! (As we are known for our lively interest in everything!) Especially in the Smithsonian! Didn't get a chance to see the aquarium though. We've decided we'll go back in the near future - maybe then!

Hi Andrea from Toronto.

Actually, frequent trips recently to Potomac. Cheryl's parents live there. Her mother had a quad by-pass about 6 weeks ago now. So between Cheryl, then her sister, who lives in Toronto, then Cheryl and I, and this last week Cheryl and her sister - lots of trips!!

Chery's parents moved to Washington in 1970 when her father got a job with the IMF. They have since retired there. We did all the touristy things in the early days when our kids were young. Rarely go into Washington when we are down there now.

And as for the dark arts -yes we have strayed. I'm afraid. Was one of those things where "similarities" eg: too many dancing maniacs I think?, started to emerge then this horoscope thing started. I suppose we could go all over the map with "personality" systems - "type "A"'s" etc. but it would start to sound like a self-help group instead of just a PBD group.

Cindy - A scorpio/geologist/scientist. I thought there was a law!!

Cheers,

Bill

Hi Bill from London! Do you guys drive down to MD? How long does it take you? (Took us 10 1/2 hours to Gettysburg...)Rusty, I had my wisdom teeth out - local anasthetic, was in and out of the chair in 20 minutes and took only 1 Tylenol 1 as a precaution. Absolutely no pain. So you see, not all wisdom teeth stories are horrible! Hope all you Gemini's are having a wonderful day! You're lucky, you're never alone...

Sally - 39 was sooo long ago I can't remember. But you needn't worry, you can't grow old living in a place as beautiful as Ann Arbor! Oh Oh - Another "common trait thing"!!! CHOCOLATE. 'fraid it is a weakness in this house. And a fresh, from scratch, cake with real yummy icing - Go for it it is your birthday after all!

Andrea - Yes we normally drive. Last time a few weeks ago was really fast because the traffic was light all the way. We managed about 10-11 hours. We usually budget for 12 hours but it rarely takes that long. Traffic snags or heavy traffic near Potomac usually adds delays. No border crossing delays last time. Although I understand that can really vary a lot now if they have a special" screening blitz going on.

Getting ready to drive to the TO airport.

Cheers,

Bill

I'll get your cake ready Sally. Afraid the frosting is orange, but it's really chocolate. I'll turn 45 2 days after your birthday.:)

Birthdays are good. You get lots of attention and presents and it beats the alternative (as told to me by a neighbor on her 95th birthday). I took her words to heart.

Bicolor damsels:

bi

Hi, my buddies! I see Andrea is back! Yippee! And Sarah and Sally have popped in and the den mothers (Meryl and Cindy) are here! Even Bill came back - what a party!

gorilla My 800 pound gorilla toothache kinda knocked me out. Used a topical (Have to look into Paregoric, Meryl!) pain reliever and three aspirin and took a nap and the pain was gone for a while when I woke up. Then it started creeping back a little while ago so I hit it again with the topical. Gotta take it easy on the aspirin - started to get ringing in my ears!

I've been in training for this sort of thing for a long time - had chronic migraines nearly every day for ten years and they made this pain feel like a skeeter bite!

pic Thanks for the positive reinforcement, Andrea - I'm hoping that their estimate of 30 minutes for two (opposite sides) extractions is accurate! I'll be counting on my fingers and toes! Once they're out - all my other teeth are in good shape! LOL

LOL.....Bill thanks for the thought but i'm not on until my time around 10+ as a general rule, bcause nobody is up at that time..10pm is 6am bonaire time so work out what time you are from that..always confusing..

By the way all..I'm an Aries..It is a fire sign, so Aries people are bold and self-confident, although they tend to be overly impulsive,
Ariens are always overflowing with ideas, schemes and plans to conquer the world, for a well-aspected sun in Aries radiates power and vitality. Many a moth has been burned in its flame! Life, of course, is one long party.
Ariens are great organisers, full of flair and originality, although usually lacking discipline and the capacity for prolonged effort (minions must be found to do the slog work!). You are intuitive and articulate, with the capacity to inspire others, especially in projects which have a clear outcome and do not require a long lead-time. You have masses of energy and courage and will rush in where angels fear to tread, for the Arien ego can be rather overbearing. Undue optimism, or impatience and desire for self-aggrandisement can result in wasted effort or even severe setbacks and disappointment.
