Last night I put Caymus out, must have been around 11, will the next thing I knew, Caymus was at the door to come in, I opened the door and he bolted for the living room rug, he flopped on the rug and was wiping his face as if wet?
Then it hit me, Caymus got skunked, big-time!

Got out the "Skunk-Be-Gone, Caymus and I hit the back yard with a bucket and we play scrub-a-dub-dun till after midnight. Then into the house to do the rug.

2:30 am, now it's my turn to shower and wash my cloths, Caymus wants to play, I'm falling asleep in the shower.

I get to work, email from UPS, " Sorry we delivered all your weekend stuff to the wrong store." I have to call all the people that ordered bikes and parts to inform them that the order never showed. That's just ducky!

My sales and service mgr's are fighting like two teenage girls.

Fax machine is clogged to death.

I'm falling asleep.

Louise called to inform me that the house still stinks. That made me feel good.

I orded some dry aged tenderloins last week for this Sat night. No show at the butcher, wait, it gets better, lobster meat just hit $33.00 a lbs.
My menu is down the toilet. I have six people coming and have to start from scratch.

"I think, I think I am, therefor I must be."
Anyone know that one?

Regarding the food, employees, lost shipments:-(

Regarding Caymus bringing you in that lil present...... Anyone have a clean hankerchief?

Only laughing cause Pamela and I were there with our dog Sage years ago. We used: tomato juice, v-8, tomato sauce, in addition to soaps/shampoos and the boy still stunk. Finally poured a bunch of Ethan's cheap colognes on him. He smelt like one of those ladies on St. Catherine Street (ask you bro-in-law) but, that was an improvement.

Dang it!!! REALLY FOLKS, ANYONE, HANDKERCHIEF, KLEENEX, HELL I DON'T CARE CAN I BORROW YOUR SLEEVE:-)

Sorry, tell Louise not to worry, the smell will be gone in three or four weeks.

"Lord please forgive me for picking on Jerry and please, to reward him, keep him free from any colds or sinus congestion for the next few days - weeks even?"

Tom, that's an awfully nice prayer for Jerry. I am so glad that you are able to help him like that. So special - really.

And I am hating it for you Jerry - really I am...OK - I am hating the work part.

When I lived in CT I had my share of skunk attacks with our pets, and the house, and the car...and, and, and... I thought that was over but we do have some here them thar hills of Tennessee. LOVERLY!!!

Jerry, it has to get better for you buddy. I hope the skunk smell in the house is gone before your company comes on Saturday. I can't believe the price of Lobster meat, that is crazy!

Why is it everything bad seems to come at the same time??? You have had more than your share so it's only going to get better from here on out.

Poor Caymus (and Jerry). Skunks do try to warn the dogs, the dogs just think that when a skunk stamps its feet it is playing, when it really is saying "move away or I will blast you!" Someone should teach Caymus to speak skunk. :-)

PEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU.....I know that smell although not from personal experience w/ Bits and Bon Bini; thankfully!!!! Our neighbors lab decided one evening to play with the neighborhood stripped cat LOL.

My GOD that smell was putrid. They didn't have skunk off, which to me is WAY better than the old wive's tale tricks.

Sorry that happened and then employees and UPS. I hope things work on so you can enjoy your dinner. Slap the employees into submission; works here :-)

BIG VA hugs coming north to you.

Kobi

Awww, Jerry, I feel for ya. Big HUGS coming your way ~~~~~~~~~~~~HUGS~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

I sure am glad I don't like lobster! Way too pricey for that shellfish.

Heck, if the house isn't sweet smelling by then, just dine outside, the weather this week-end is supposed to be nice your neck of the woods and mine too. :-) I bet you can come up with something even better than you were going to have.

The first time Rasta got skunked all we had on hand was canned tomatoes - we were just starting a dinner party, so we excused ourselves (and Rasta) went to the side of the house with our tomatoes and the hose and scrubbed them in... her white fur was pink for weeks :-) :-)
Now, Little Guy has discovered a young skunk that has become a little too friendly. A few weeks ago we saw them running across the patio w/LG in the rear He often has just a touch of that distinctive Eu-du-Skunk. I can just picture him and this little skunk hanging around together.

Sorry your day has been so challenged Jerry - just remember it was only a test!

Jerry..I've found that only one thing works to deskunkify (I made that word up) your dog..
1 quart 3% hydrogen peroxide
1/4 cup baking soda
1 teaspoon liquid dish detergent

Put mixture in a spray bottle & spray down Fido (not in the eyes). Rub in well, wait 15 mins & rinse.
You'll be amazed!

Jerry you have my sympathy which is of no help to you, but is sincere. That said, I have to say I am ROFLMAO :-) :-) You just tell your tales in such a way that does not ask for pity but instead can't help but make us smile. Still, you poor guy ! (yes we have had a dog who got skunked too --PU)

aw heck Jerry, you sure can say heck.

One of my cats, Mishima, got skunked. Poor little dear! This was a few days after he messed with mouse -- a three legged cat.
Well, mouse hissed and made a lot of noise which my brave kitten did not comprehend (a slap on the head with a front paw would have done the trick but -- I did mention that mouse was a three-legged cat?). Mish got too close, mouse bit, and my kitten got a nick in his ear.

Oh, back to the skunk...
I doused the kitten in all kinds of stuff until I tried tomato juice.
Maybe it was a combination of all the other stuff (lemon juice, Mr. Clean, orange juice) plus the tomato juice -- it finally did the trick.

And Jerry,
try heating the pizza and chilling the Bud.
It might improve the taste.

(oh, and the m&m's .... remember that link someone provided about the coffee made from cat skat? How DID those little 'goobers' wind up under your desk...[I could not resist....])

Jerry, my friend, please remember that if you're melting down over steak deliveries and the price of lobster, you're living pretty large. Rock on, my brother!

Now that sure is looking on the right side of things CB!

Jerry...how is the precious Caymus smelling today? More importantly, how's the rug and house smelling?

My friend has a dog he calls Stinky Girl. He works for the water reclamation district and found her wandering around there. Once they became friends, she was given this great bath and looked like a very pretty little dog. One problem...as soon as she was dry she went and rolled in a cesspool. She hates not smelling like icky stuff. Fortunately, there are no nasty pools of ick around his house, which is where she lives now. But, if an animal dies in the yard, she rolls all over it. Ick!

Jeanine, I just misread your post and almost fell out of my chair. What you wrote:

"Jerry...how is the precious Caymus smelling today?"

I read as:

"Jerry... how precious is Caymus smelling today?"

then I totally lost it laughing like a crazy man. SNORT!!!:-)

Ahhhhhh, I better go hide before Jerry shows up, reads this and uses chain rings as throwing stars:-)

Jerry

You have my sympathy, my dogs are just like Stinky Girl and they love to roll in Fox poo, but I guess the skunk spray is a lot worse.

Have a good weekend all, we are battened down waiting for the forecasted 4 inches of rain today. Hey Jerry that would be an easy way to rinse Caymus!!

Brian - it's time to buy a canoe over there. I've heard it has been HORRIBLE!!! Sorry you aren't having decent weather. Maybe we need to come back and bring some sunshine OR you just need to change your latitude... I know - Bonaire is in sight for you all.

Enjoy!!

The weather boys are forecasting two more months of rain. What the $h!t is that we have already had two months of rain. I think our summer was in February.
