oz Somewhere over the rainbow
way up high,
there's a land that I heard of
once in a lullaby.

Somewhere over the rainbow
skies are blue,
and the dreams that you dare to dream
really do come true.
1 is this toto on the road...LOL
good morning Meryl

Munchkinland
Come out, come out wherever you are
and meet the young lady who feel from a star
she fell from the sky, she fell very far
and Kansas she says is the name of the star,
Kansas she says is the name of the star

She brings you good news or haven't you heard
when she fell out of kansas a miracle occurred

It really was no miracle, what happened was just this
the wind began to switch
the house to pitch
and suddenly the hinges started to un hitch
just then, the witch, to satisfy an itch
went flying on her broom stick thumbing for a hitch
and oh what happened then was rich

2 x the house began to pitch
the kitchen took a stitch
it landed on the wicked witch in the middle of a ditch
which was not a healthy situation for the wicked witch>

who began to twitch
and was reduced to just a stitch of what was once the
wicked witch.

It looks like they've directed the lense up so we're seeing the surface of the water. It was ok earlier. Is this a trick or did a big fish hit it?

lets ask Bas (little Bas)

Well, this is exciting. Not sure if this is a trick or not, Cyndy. Anything is possible on this site.
These are the captures from when it happened - from achives.

United Nations International Day of Families
Peace Officer Memorial Day
Hug your Cat Day
National Chocolate Chip Day

Tone Deaf Day

Tone deafness means that everything sounds exactly the same. You can't tell one note from another, but even worse... you can't even hear the different inflections in someone's voice. It can make communicating difficult just like being color blind can make it hard to follow traffic lights. People make jokes about being tone deaf, but it's really very rare. Not being able to carry a tune in the shower doesn't qualify.

The fish are starting to return:

Wizard of Oz Day
woo
See you later, Cindy. Hope the cats don't scratch you trying to avoid their shots. smile
Nice pair of red shoes, Rusty. I saw a pair of red patent leather shoes yesterday, but they weren't like Dorothy's. If I had magic shoes I could use them to 'nip' over to Bonaire for a few hours, and then 'nip' back to do some work. LOL

There's a certain symmetry to these two events! LOL

1856 - Lyman Frank Baum, children's book author (Wizard of Oz)

balloon

1980 - First transcontinental balloon crossing of the United States took place.

Wonder who put the octopus up to this morning's activities?

In the "THAT SUCKS" category for today:

elvis 1957 - Elvis Presley inhaled a cap on one of his teeth. He had to be taken to a Los Angeles hospital to have it removed from his lung.

God, I hate to laugh at other's misfortune, but this is one of the funnest things I have ever seen. Does everyone know what happened? An octopus came along and spent 40 minutes removing the red filter on the camera and then took it home with him. UFB. Now we need to mount up a red filter search party/posse to catch the culprit and get the filter back.

puzzle Cecil - that makes perfect sense - we're seeing lots of CYAN now! That little sneak! It takes a combo engineer/photographer to puzzle these things out sometimes.
