Up until last night I was with you Cynde, but he did a good job last night. If he keeps up the good work, I won't be so frustrated. However, my guess is he won't.

Tribs, I think last night was a fluke. Everyone else got bad reviews...I mean, Latin is hard if you weren't born to sing and dance with the beat on that one. I felt bad for all of them because you could tell they were not in their comfort zone. He just can't sing, has no real voice, he just sort of mouths the hole thing in my book. Can you tell I don't want him to win? LOl! I think Melinda should win, but she needs to work on her wardrobe. She looked great last night though

I can't stand the Justin Timber Lake wannabe. I dislike him so much I even block his name! I like Jordin and Melinda. Oh well...I guess all that matters is who the voting public likes and I don't vote.

I've stopped watching it. It has become a cartoon of a show and sadly those with talent are continually being voted off. Sanjia is a joke - but he'll probably end up being a very rich joke. Remember William Hong? ( I think that's his name)

I watch like a trainwreck... wowwww. It's just painful. I only voted one time and it was for Carrie Underwood. I don't want to ruin my winning streak. lol.

Glad that Halley Scarnato(?) left, she should have been out a long time ago. Judges did not like her specially Simon. Sanjaya has to be the next one.

for the record, my 14yr old daughter can't stand Sanjaya...it's a great show to watch with the family. We may be a minority, but we really don't like Melinda - while she can sing, she's one-dimensional and has no personality, not an ideal American Idol. She lost us the week she talked about having a stylist. The following week she admitted to having OCD.

PS - we are cheering for Jordin & Lakisha to be the final 2. I still can't get over Lakisha's rendition of "I'm Not Going" in the round of 24.

Back to watching re-runs of Everybody Loves Raymond for us.

I like the diva trio and I too am glad that Haley is gone. I like Blake and he probably is the "hippest" one they've ever had. I have a feeling that this is the one that J-Lo wants to win, even though she wouldn't tell.

I think he'll do well anyway - regardless of him winning or not. It doesn't help that Sanjaya is also the person on the Vote for the Worst website too - but when it starts getting down to the final 5 or 6 he'll go. I think he did pretty well with the latin show but I did have to take exception to Simon's comment - he didn't understand a word of it - well DUH it was in Spanish you moron. But I love Simon - he's usually spot on.

I was sooooo bummed that Sanjaya didn't get booted! Grrrr! lol! I think I would rather have seen the bald guy with the hat (have no idea what his name is) go. He needs to lose that hat...lol!

Sue, funny, 14 year old doesn't like Sanjaya...heh heh...

Well, Melinda is like me, she has no neck...lol! Actually, Michael and I agree that I have more of a neck than she does...I think she needs to hire a new fashion consultant to dress her in clothing that distracts from her no neck...I'm a hard critic too...easy to do armchair critic in my living room with my pj's on and my fuzzy slippers...lol! But hey, if you go on Idol, you have to be prepared for harsh...like Simon!

I thought JLo's performance was pretty good actually. I know it wasn't a sing-a-long but I enjoyed it. I liked it more than Dianna Ross. And yes - poor Melinda has no neck and her eyes don't open very wide. Maybe she has a sensitivity to the lights - it's hard to say. But I agree that it would be nice if someone would have her wearing clothes that were either more hip or that helped you get over her no neck issue. But it is, what it is. I want her to win because she's from TN - Brentwood which is just outside Nashvegas.

Melinda always has a "deer-in-the-headlights" look and seems to lack the self-confidence and sense of humor that we have seen with the other successful idols. That's why I just can't see her making it. I just cringe if she makes it to the top 3 & we get to "go home" with her.

I don't know if it's self confidence or bring humble. I think she's fantastic and more down to earth than many "in their head" divas from past seasons. But as she says she is s tomboy at heart and is much more comfortable in sweats than in dresses.

Well, I'd like to see her win Sue, if she does, you can still rant and rave though heh heh ;-)

OK, and is JLo preggers? Seems she dresses much more conservative since she got married. I think her husband has brainwashed her...I love celebrity gossip...lol!

I don't know but the pictures I've seen of Marc(k) these days - the boy looks like he's on meth. He looks like heck.

As some of you know, I teach jr. jigh kids. On Thursday, I pretended that my cell phone rang and quickly picked it up to answer. I pretended that I was talking to Sanjaya, and he invited me to a birthday party in Bombay. I also told him one of the girls in my class thought he was hot. She started saying, "Mr. Mc I can't stand him." It was a classic. I had them going for about five minutes on this phony conversation. When I finally told them it was not him they were hysterically laughing. Sometimes you have to do stuff like this with them.

In my humble opinion, Melinda Doolittle really has the absolute best vocals of the group. Her voice is right on. No problems with pitch, clarity, etc.
Sangina, I mean Sanjaya is just not idol material. I think there really is a conspiracy to keep him in.

I love that Christ Dautry [sic] has TWO hit songs, and last season he was not even in the top two...and I think it is wrong that they have the votefortheworst going on, that's not what it's about.

Cynde, the funny part is I have only seen American Idol once. This was after I heard what a meanie Simon was. I direct the plays (musicals) we do at school. This year, May 1 and 2, we are doing Anne of Green Gables. When some girls auditioned, back in December, you could see they were emulating people who sing on Idol. I had to tell them just to be natural. "I'm not Simon."

Jim, boy, you are a man of hidden talents...I guess that is why you can do that donkey call so well and they all come when they hear it...lol!

Too funny about the auditions. Did you tell them that Idol contestants haven't gone to acting school (well, I think Ace was a wannabe actor). And you are right, you are NOT Simon. He is brutal, that's for sure...and a very very rich meanie to boot!
