We took the trolley from Ybor down to Hyde Park (Soho, really), ate at Panerra Bread, then walked the food off. Double. We walked probably 4 miles, possibly 5, along the bay on Bayshore Drive. It was beautiful. There were exercise stops along the way (parallel bars, monkey bars, situp stations, etc.) and we'd stop and play on those, too. Was a nice day. Brooke and I have sore feet, but we all have good memories.

Tomorrow, the beach! :-) We're enjoying having her here, and she's having a great time.

Thanks guys. :-) It's been really fun having her here for a little mommy/daughter time. I only get to see my girls once or twice a year, so we make the best of it when they're here. Larry's oldest son is coming down in a few weeks, so the parade of visiting children begins. :-) Oh, and I got an email from my aunt wanting to come down, too. We're "the relatives who live in FL" now. And they all want to come down. I don't mind at all.

Looks like a great day Kathy. My oldest daughter, Kate, lives in Pittsburgh. She is a doctor at the University of Pittsburgh Children's Hospital. Her schedule borders on insanity. Hence, I do not get to see her as much as I would like. Although Pittsburgh is in the same state, it is a 5 hour drive from Philadelphia. When we do get together, it is just all good. She and I can still make each other laugh.

Lovely photos, but I need you to help me get this right. The visiting daughter (Brooke) was the lady in the pink tee - correct?

Jim, your daughter sounds very accomplished! Good for her. :-) Hope you get to enjoy even more precious time with her this year - it is special!

Gail, hope all of you girls had a good time! Pics are required. :-)

Stuart, yes, my daughter is the one in the pink. I have two daughters, each just as different as night and day, but both just lovely (I think!). :-) I love them to pieces!

I added more pics just now. Christine and Autumn met us as the beach and we had a great day walking and dolphin watching and talking and clowning. Was nice. :-) Same link as above should work.

We have one more day, and we'll keep making our "very precious" memories. Plus, Snapfish lets me have 20 free prints for posting our pics there. So Brooke can have them, to take back to AL and show. Nice.

Kathy's daughter Brooke was a joy to meet and felt very honored that they let me in on their time with each other. Plus an added bonus to our day was the dolphin experience because I just love dolphins. The dolphins went on our walk with us and when we came back to our towels on the beach its like they just stopped right there and put a show on for us which was such an awesome thing. I tried to talk Kathy into lets swim to them but the water was way to cold and opted to stay on the shore line and watch them from afar.

Hi Kathy! Alas, I am on dial-up and cannot seem to access the site. I will check it from work on Monday, but it sure does sound like you had a wonderful time. I'm very happy for you! :-)

Looks like a lovely day, great pics! :-) Did you have to show the thermometer with the 98 degrees...it's pouring and in the 40's here, which I'm sure seems like an oven to those N Easters....

We just took Brooke to the airport, and before we were even in the door good, she called......she has a 3 hr delay, because it's snowing in ATL. Unbelievable. It's still 70 here. We were gone all day so checking nationwide weather never crossed our minds. I'm glad she has a jacket in her carryon.

I miss her so much and it's strange, she's still in Tampa. Was a great visit. Absolutely perfect.

I hope as your own adult children come home it's the same, but without the flight delays. :-) She doesn't mind sitting in Tampa for another 3 hours, honestly. So she said. :-)
