>>Dear Friends and Family,
>>
>>
>>
>>We are writing you in regards to a project our Dream Camp After-school
>>program is working on. We are learning about different countries and
>>states in an effort to expand our students' global awareness. Very
>>often, students are unable to picture the world outside of the city they
>>live in.
>>
>>
>>
>>We are asking for your help in bringing these distant, and some not so
>>distant, places alive to our students. Our goal is to collect postcards
>>from each of the 50 states and as many countries as possible. On these
>>post cards we are asking for 3 facts about the location. You can send
>>them from any place you live, are visiting, or have visited. We also
>>encourage you to pass this information on through email or snail mail to
>>those who may live in various places. While you may not be traveling
>>our project certainly can!
>>
>>
>>
>>As we receive each postcard, we will discuss its city of origin, as well
>>as its geographic location, resources, culture, and climate. Once the
>>students have taken an exciting journey through the window of this
>>postcard, it will be placed on a large map of the World or the US so
>>that the progress of this exciting project can be tracked. Seeing
>>pictures and learning about a place is good; however, having a
>>"personal" connection to that place through the individual experiences
>>of the postcard sender is even better! We encourage you to excite our
>>students and join us as we discover cool places in America and around
>>the world.
>>
>>
>>
>>Please address the post cards to:

>>students will be able to reach their goal and DREAM of all new places.
>>We'll be sending pictures and updates from time to time to let you know
