Kelly don't worry about the spelling, my mom wanted to be creative and spell it different! Wish you could have made it to the meet also, it was lots of fun! Next year plan on it! Nighty night now......

Too cool Kelly! I get a lot of recognition for the Monster House episode and I was also on the Michael Jackson reenactment trial on E! Channel last year....that was seen all over the world! I had friends in Brazil and England call me about that one!

Mercy....when's the party, girl??? Aren't you glad you volunteered? If/when it does happen, I'll try to come down a day early and help you get ready, if you want.
Kelly, i have an album of photos of myself, dressed in a yellow slicker, in front of giant things all over the US, a few outside the US, and THE BASKET is on my list of absolutely
essential Must Gets!
Rosannne, I finish my dive class this weekend (Think of us in Monterey, you Bathtub Diver.) and then would still like to find time for a post Left Coast Meet lunch, if you still have time and inclination.

CB a nice lunch would be wonderful, Diwali is on Saturday but our weekend is full of kids activities so maybe next week we could do an Indian lunch and I could introduce you to the wonderful world of Indian sweets! Have fun diving BRRRRRRR, I'll be nice and toasty in my hot tub!

That is so sweet of you to offer CB...I'll probably take you up on that one! I MUST be thinking about an International Mega Meet at my house already, as I passed the Extended Stay America they just built right near me and thought....."that would be a good place for people to stay when I have the meet here"

Yikes! I must REALLY be thinking I might actually do this!! I will have to start thinking of some dates to throw out..want it to be nice weather so the pool can get used also. We don't really have too much bad weather here in LA. I'm thinking June or July next year.....

Mercy, we'll have to consider those Right Coasters who were talking about a July meet...they would be so sad if we had ours at the same time and nobody came to theirs (hehe).
Rosanne, Diwali is this weekend? NOOOO! going You were going to be my ticket to Diwali (and associated food!). Oh, well, diving is a darn fine consolation.
I should have some idea of my schedule by Friday or Monday...let's see if we have a time match for lunch.

Oh no, don't make me pick which one to go to, for God's sake !!

Barbara, have you seen pictures of the basket? It's hilarious, 7 stories high. I wish Cynde would post her basket picture. Cynde, HINT HINT !!!

If the weather is decent this weekend, I'll get some pics and post them. It is less than 1/4 mile from my house. It was in the kids' Highlights magazine, and Yana Richter knew about it, so I had to send her some pics of it, too. Amazing that you would live in Bonaire, and know about this monstrosity.. lol...

I just love that picture. I remember laughing my head off taking it. Now if you just had a panty liner stuck to your red shirt... it would be perfect ! Next time !

Kelly, there is quite a network of harmless nuts who love Giant Things, so we all know about the Great Basket. I WILL get there to see it. I just love that thing!

Kelly I will indeed make it to the Great Basket, and when I do, I'll take you up on it! Similarly, I do a decent tour of San Francisco, if you're out this way.
Here, by the way, is an introduction to the Big Things Underground. It seems somehow appropriate that the U.S., Canada, and Australia are especially full of Big Things:
