HAPPY HAPPY NEWS. Caymus might not need the treatments? The 1st path report came in with clean margins, the mass was 100% removed. A 2nd test is in the works to pin-point the true type of tumor. That will give the vet a path to go. And the wound is 99% healed.
We get to have a true nights sleep. Caymus will be able to play at the beach next week, he loves the waves. Being a work dog, he and we can go any place with him. He can return to working with Louise next week as well. He keeps trying to help, but we have to stop him, it was very hard on him to just sit there when he knows that Louise might need help with a task. I wish I could meet you all face to face and HUG you to death, you guys are a special group people.

Is it ok for a grown man to cry?

Check please.

I am very relieved to hear this good news, and rejoice with you and Louise! We worry as much about our furry kids as we do our flesh kids - but love them all!

That has got to be the best news for you Jerry! I am so happy for you all. Now Caymus can stop wondering why you are so stressed out. Big doggy and people hugs from us and Rose.
Rose is recovering nicely though she still looks like "Frankendog". And I did find the culprits after driving the neighborhood for almost 2 weeks. Now I'm waiting for animal control to do their thing and then I'm going to take them to civil court to recover the vet bills (I hope).

Kris, people who allow their dogs to be vicious are kind of double criminals, I think. They hurt your little Rose, and they cause their own dogs to be confined or destroyed. What is wrong with people?
Is Rose getting any braver? I hope she's feeling more secure in her environment again.

Great news on Caymus and good news Kris also. If the animal control people do their thing the court should settle your bills as part of the criminal settlement (you would hope).

We will have to see what the Vet thinks.
Boarding vs flying?
I can't use FF miles for him, so it will cost me $597.50 for his seat. I will not crate him for a six hr plane ride. So at this point it does not look good. But, we shell see?

No longer on AA.
New rules with the FAA, dogs be seated?
So one has to but a ticket.
I'm hoping that will change, some people can't afford the extra cost.

Service dogs and seeing dogs are a must for some people. The rules seem to be very GRAY with some airlines.

Hmmm...should we start a fundraiser to get Caymus a seat to the SB meet? It just won't be the same without the wine expert and his enterogue (i know really bad spelling but I haven't had any coffee yet and am lazy...so there...lol)

The vet just faxed me the est on the cancer treatments, if Caymus had to have it done.

Are you ready, sit down, High $7,500.00
Low $5,550.00

QG, if someone from the NE is going, I would like to send out a care-package, Spam / O rings / and white merlot.

Have your coffee.

Thanks Cheryl, that's how it should be. But because of the size of Caymus, he can not squeeze into a small space, lack of foot room. So a seat is needed. Fact is, have you ever seen a small service dog that could fit anyplace but a seat? The seats that do have room are emergency exits, can't sit there!
So if the flight is full, the dog is out of luck it seems? The food carts are a problem as well.

What about bulkhead?? There's more leg room and no seat in front of you? I just can't believe a service dog would have to purchase a ticket, that makes me mad!

Not all the time, some planes are set up with seats jammed in, others have spaces here and there?

No dogs on AJ, AE, and most 737's. Just no space.
FAA rules state that the isles have to be clear. A disabled person can not sit at a emergency exit (has more space). Most airline will try very hard to fit a dog in, but some flights are just not doable.
