Well, I spent the morning at the hospital with my daughter getting x-rays etc. She went to camp yesterday and they were playing indoor soccer and she broke her big toe and fractured the first joint where the toe connects to the foot. Then when leaving the hospital I noticed while we were there someone took a key and scraped down the entire side of my car. I was parked on the end and no one was next to me on either side. The hospital security said they will review the tapes and let me know what they find. Besides Mercury are there any other planetary disturbances I should be aware of? Oy!
I am very cranky right now! I wish I could hop on a plane to Bonaire!

Mercury IS retrograde until I think...the 28th. And a full moon Monday. Sorry Rosanne! :-( Hope your daughter is better soon! Kids heal faster than us. :-)

Everyone I know is cranky! I think it's simply the long days and short nights, plus the 4th thrown in there this week, so we're all just SLEEPY!!!

Rosanne - I AM going hopping on a plane to Bonaire - But WITH my sore big toe. I fell a week ago tonight - rubber flip flops on the wet carpet on the porch, and my feet went out from under me in 2 different directions. My toes were twisted up at a funny angle, deeply purple and swollen, so I went for xrays the next day. It's just a really bad sprain, but 1 week later still hurts a lot. Come Sunday morning I'll find out how it does with fins on!

I hope your daughter mends more quickly, and curses on the person (creep) that keyed your car.

Oh Rosanne, that is a bummer! Sending some healing vibes to your daughter and I hope they get the jerk who got your car. That is really low of someone to do.

Rosanne, I hope your daughter gets better soon! And I hope they get the idiot who did that to your car? Why do people get kicks out of doing that?

Rosanne, I will never understand why anyone keys cars. That happened to me a few years back, so I can sympathize. I hope your daughter feels better. That sounds like it really hurt. Kyle (our son) dropped a car jack on his toe last week. He was working on our riding mower and moved the jack and it landed right on the end of his second toe. It's still purple but he can wear shoes now. He learned a lesson that he will never forget.

Gail, I really hope you are all better for your trip. I am sure those toes are going in fins whether it hurts or not.

We need a group hug here.
When we feel as if it can't get any worst, it usually does.
When we feel as if it will get better it does.

Nice hair Jerry. I'm digging it! Here's hoping a group hug and laughter does the trick for you Rosanne...or at least makes you feel a bit better - well and yes your daughter feeling better and getting the person that felt that keying your car was a good idea.

Oy is right!! You're just getting it all out of the way in one shot :-)
Jerry's right - it will get better just keep putting it out there!
And hey....

Thanks you guys! Rianna's foot seems to be healing quickly, having to sit still for her is the worst part! It really is a lovely color purple though. I just spoke with the security people at the hospital, they said they haven't had a chance to review the tapes. I called the dealership and asked what body shop they use and I will call my insurance company and see what I need to do with that. I cannot imagine what possessed anyone to do this. I was parked on the end with no-one near me. Someone with the brain the size of a pea thought it would be fun I guess. Gail, have a wonderful time and if I needed to I'd dive without fins. I'd make it work some how! I'm hoping for a better day today!

Ouch. A broken foot is a real pain! ;-) Hope she heals quickly. I can't believe someone would key your car while it's parked at the hospital of all places. As if things weren't bad enough.... Somebody probably thought it was someone else's car...someone they REALLY didn't like.

Hope all your luck from now on is GOOD!

Well, I heard back from the hospital. They have a woman with a small boy on camera next to my car. The side that the damage was done on is of course the opposite side of where the camera is. She stops and then a minute or so later takes the boy by the hand and walks away. She came from within the hospital. I truly believe she mistook my car for some other persons or just hates my type of car. They can't identify her, working on trying to find out if she appears on other cameras and what she was doing at the hospital. It's crazy! Insurance will pay but it may be in my best interest to pay out of pocket to avoid having an "incident" on my insurance. Other than that the day seems better. Hubby is in a real grouchy mood though, I believe the full moon coming is responsible for that!

Rosanne

Hope your daughter heals quickly - sending hugs.
And that really stinks about your car. Can't believe someone gets their jollies by keying cars. Hope whoever it was gets caught "on tape".

Sometimes, vandals vandal just for vandalism's sake. No rhyme or reason for it. But that certainly doesn't help the victim of the vandalism. Hugs, hugs, Rosanne.

Rianna, big bummer on the toe. Hugs to you, also.

Hate to add anything but encouragement here, but, my day is just the pits. I'm getting ready to go saturday, the 15th to Aruba - 10 days - Bonaire 4 days, then back to Aruba for 1 week, when I backed into a low lawn care trailer thing parked right opposite my driveway! Big gauge in the rear right of my car. Also have been on the phone round the clock to my son, Joshua (25)who's close friend, Chris, since kindergarten was just killed in a motorcycle accident in NY. His mom and I are good friends also. Every parents nightmare.
Really clarifies all the things to be thankful for. I guess it's just all a little intense right now. Am looking forward to the peace I find on the islands. Be safe everyone!

Oh, Marilyn, that sure puts it all into perspective...
I lost my only brother/sibling to a motorcycle accident when he was 21... the pain never goes away... 21 years later and I still cry. My heart goes out to your son and Chris' family.

Marilyn, I too want to thank you for the reminder of what is truly important in our lives, i.e., the people in our lives.

Roseanne, I am saddened by what appears to be a random act of vandalism which affected you. I am extremely happy to read that Rianna is healing quickly:-)

I spent part of Wednesday evening in the emergency room with my 14 yo son Benjamin. While we were at camp he slipped and put his hand through the glass on the storm door. Punctures on his wrist, palm of hand and pinky, bled profusely. We applied clean gauze compresses and rushed him to the hospital. Looked worse than it was, the doctor "superglued" the larger lacerations. He too is healing well.

Have invited Chris's mom, Virginia to meet me in Aruba the week of July 29th. I have a two bedroom at the Caribbean Palm Village and my two boys and my nephew and his wife aren't coming this year. Please keep your thoughts and prayers on Virginia. I would like for her to have a break. I've never been into the party/casino scene, so I think she could find some rest and peace. I will know tonight if she'll come. Yaya(grandmother) and Chris's sister Tina are also invited. There's plenty of room. Posting here has done me a world of good. I feel very isolated here in Wisconsin with all my loved ones in NY. Thank you all.

Sending Big Moose Hugs to all who need them. BT is a wonderful place to talk and share things that happen to all of us. I spent the better part of Sat. morning in the emergency room with my little guy who fell down the stairs here at home and we thought he broke his foot, but very lucky for him it was not broken, just a very bad contusion. We were glad as he will be starting his dive classes this week and a broken foot is not a good start.

Marilyn, Thanks for posting and it just reminds us all how life is short, let's enjoy it as we never know what is around the bend! :-)

I think I will take a few of those hugs myself. Was just out in my yard playing in the garden while digging, I hit one of those bees nests that are in the ground and didn't realize it till they were on top of me! Ouch! My right arm is a mess, quite hot and swollen, realized all my sting stuff is in the islands, so had to do with this after bite stick, not working, got to call hubby to pick up something. Bummer, no more garden work for me today.

Marilyn, Wow, you are a wonderful friend. Stand by Virginia, when my friend lost her 9 year old daughter it was surreal. You just can't imagine how, why, what to say.Hugs to both of you. boom...sorry :9. the hurt of losing a love one never goes away, just slightly dulls. Debbie, take care of those bee stings!! I realize how insignificant and small my problems were now. Hope the new week brings better kharma for all of us! Peace to all.....

Marilyn, I will add Virginia and family to my prayer list. I can only imagine the pain she is in right now.

Debbie, so glad your son didn't end up with a broken foot. That would not be a good way to start a dive class! Take care of those bee stings. I have never hit one of those hives in the ground, but they say you can't see them until it's too late.

Hope this week is a better one for everyone!
