Good Morning! Been MIA lately, busy LOL! Quinn is in full toddler mode, he still though is wonderful, but has moments - I have my sense of humour hat on but sometimes I do not know what to do! If anyone has any advice, I will listen to anything, feel free to email me. Most of it is when he doesn't want to nap and he gets up alot in the night. (Riker is sleeping through the night LOL! Shouldn't it be the other way around??) Quinn has discovered that you can put things in the DVD player.....

Eileen the boys are so adorable! I have a solution for you. When Quinn gets into full blown toddler mode, that is when you call a relative and say: "Quinn just keeps asking about you. Couldn't you find it in your heart to take him for a few hours today. He just loves you so much!" A friend of mine got real good with this method. She had lots of relatives so had lots of people to take her child when she was in toddler mode. Child got a distraction, relative got a handful, and my friend got some much needed rest.

Looks like a water moccassin to me. Fat body with rapidly tapering tail - can't really see it's head clearly, but from this angle it looks like a wide viper head. Are you near water?

By the way, Cecil, - Eileen posts nicer pictures than you do!

Cynde, this is just for you. I bought Riley a new book today, it's a Baby Einstein and it's called "Mama and Me". It's about mommy and baby animals with cute pictures. Here are two quotes that will make you pee your pants.

Cecil...not sure of type but willing to bet it is in the viper family because of the head shape. I agree that it does look like a water moccasin from the angle you posted.

Well, now that I think about it, I do believe, Water Moccasin is probably correct. Although I did not think we had them this far north.

That's what I thought, but it did have a white mouth. I'll try to check the other shots tonight to see if I have one with the mouth open. He was very uppity and did try to bite anything near him. The other question is how old that map is? My Peterson Field Guide for Birds says that Turkey Vultures do not make it to NH, yet we sure do have a slew of them. Another case of global warming, damn George Bush's eyes.

Cecil...we get water moccasins here and I am just west of Chicago. Not that we are over run by them, but I have been seeing them since I was a kid (and that was a while ago).
