Everyone,

Ok, after five trips in a row over the last three years, we have decided to dive somewhere else for a week, until this summer when we come back to Bon.

Has anyone been to Glover's Reef (Belize)? There are five resort/dive operations: Isla Marisol, Manta, Slickrock, Off the Wall and Glover's Atoll.

Has anyone been to any of these, any feedback, positive or negative or mixed would be helpful.
I have checked undercurrent, and the other scuba boards. BTers are like minded, so I thought I would put the question out here.

You can write to me directly if you want at
lydia_segal@yahoo.com Thanks in advance. Lydia

Hi Lydia,
I am going to move this over to Community Chat where it really belongs since it is not about Bonaire..

Lydia, I have dove Glover's Reef but did not stay there. We stayed at the Blue Marlin which is on Southwater Caye, similar but different.

The diving is absolutely breath taking, wall dives with a gentle current and big critters. I would expect the resorts there to be small, all inclusive with fresh water at a premium.

Other than diving there will not be much else to do. On the other hand, Glover's Reef is a beautiful atoll. It is quite huge with the islands on the east side. When we went there by boat it was quite a ride from the edge of the atoll to the cayes. It has got to be a two hour boat ride from the coast.

Cecil,

Thanks for the input. Glad the diving was so wonderful, re assuring with being so attached to Bonaire.

Did you take any pictures above or below the water, checked your web site but do not see it.

TIA, Lydia

It was several years ago, 2001 maybe, it was 1 year PDC (pre digital camera). The last trip with 35mm, I did do a trip report, I'll e-mail it to you tonight.
