Ok...someone on another thread gave me an idea. Why do we get stressed over the holidays?

I'll go first. I have three reasons: two good ones, but the third is not chat friendly.

1) This will be the hostess' first turkey - that never turns out well.
2) We will be in a very small house, about 1800 square feet split over multiple levels, with 26 relatives confirmed so far. Gives new meaning to family togetherness.

Got a new one...it is making me very thankful that we are going to relatives and not hosting Thanksgiving ourselves...the water main broke and my entire area is currently without water. My one neighbor has relatives in from all over the US. The water company says it should be fixed in a couple of hours. Yikes! Not good for those who are hosting in my neighborhood.

Jeannie, lucky you! I have one (happened to us a couple times, I'm sure it's happened to others)...

the kitchen sink clogs up and backs up and you can't use it...let's hope it doesn't happen today! LOL!

talk about STRESS!!!! how about sick children around the holidays....

I think you win with that one Freddie (or should I say lose?). Children being sick is stressful enough, but add in a holiday (or holiday season) and whamo! I am glad to hear Connor is doing better.

Holiday stresses who needs them. Driving up to the tree farm in Dade City Florida to pick a fresh tree, a perfect shaped tree and put it on top of the car get home after the hour drive and it is no longer shaped perfect, but still go every year cause it so much fun for the kids :}.
