Happy Easter back to ya!
Busy on today...have lots of errands to run...but as of the days NEWS...we start with...(my favorite) Doctors Day (for my honey)
We were treated on our first visit to Bonaire at the local hospital...San Francisco (am I off on the name?) They were wonderful and very accomodating...so this is for them too!
Also...Alaska day....
and the master of Rock and roll...Eric Clapton was born today....

If everyone is going to be busy the next few days I would like to express my holiday wishes to you all....enjoy all your company....Jake , Linda and kids...have a good one and thanks again for the thoughtfulness over the past week.....

Meryl...you mean Eric Clapton was born on this date, right? LOL! Did you know what his biggest fear was (as of years ago)? Arthritis in his hands preventing him from playing the guitar. He is so good. He can't look at the audience when he sings, tho...concentrating on the guitar licks and his shyness. BB King has a "thing" too...he cannot sing and play the guitar at the same time...just goes to show you that geniuses are "human", too! Have a wonderful Holiday weekend, everyone. I'm afoot for the forseeable future. The local Nissan dealer replaced my fuel filter & did not charge me. (Wha-Hoo!). The clutch is a different picture alll together. The service manager told me to call them if I didn't make it home and they'd tow me the rest of the way. Well, ratz. Of course it couldn't be as simple as a fuel filter. Considering that this is only the 2nd repair in in the 15-years I've had the truck I reallycan't complain too loudly! Lucky me...I've arranged for a ride to & from the university (a schedule change which involved an okay from my boss) and I've arranged a grocery store run every 2nd week. Interesting...I may not use my truck all that often, but knowing it's "out there" & ready to go is so very different from knowing I have no transportation!

When I was at my Dad's Thursday sitting in the kitchen nook watching the bird feeder - we saw a New England Cottontail pop out of the bushes. It hung around for a good half-hour, sniffing around the grass and getting some sun. The Easter Bunny! My Dad likes them til he starts his veggie garden...

Well we are in the chicken business again!!! George brought home 6 chicks yesterday, and they are now in a box in my kitchen...We used to have chickens, geese, ducks and pigeons years ago plus the horse.. Looks as if we may get into again!!!

Chicks - I would love to have a box of ducklings and chickies - imagine what our koi ponds would look like when the ducks grew up, though! The fish would go on strike! Grandma used to have chicks every years and a coop where we LOVED the get the eggs for her. The world's BIGGEST nightcrawlers in the manure pile out back, too!

For Slowhand! Happy Birthday, Eric Clapton. Saw him in Springfield, MA in the early 70s. Yeah, After Midnight! The first record I ever won from a radio station - Name It and Claim It. I was so excited to win a 45 rpm.

When we had all these animals we sure didn't have any grass to take care of!! The ducks used to come to the front door to be fed and the geese were like watch dogs!! I used to take my wine out by the barn and just sit and watch all the acton ahh the good old days!!!
Our Granddaughter will get a kick out of gathering eggs this summer!!!

We changed our ads around a bit - threads were getting so long our advertisers' ads weren't being see, so now they are at top and bottom... (but no forseeable plans for pop-ups, as a compromise :-) ).
