You can't make this stuff up folks -- it's on the internet.

True confessions: I am a geek!

One aspect of my geeky behaviour: I put away my bandanas folded a particular way and then place them in a drawer according to the colors of the rainbow.

Detective Monk, MOVE OVER!

My husband marks his socks with a symbol so the socks that came together in the pack are always worn together. lol It kills me....he has probably 100 identical socks, but they must be worn only with the correctly marked one. :-)

OK...I fold my underwear into little packets (tri-fold) and neatly place them in their drawer.

Kathy, my cat would hate your husband. Rusty claims all socks left in the basement, be they in laundry baskets or on the floor. If they are there, Rusty carries them around screaming at the tops of his lungs. We have a lot of holes in our socks.

I'm also a real history geek (environmental history, so that makes it ok).

I'm a geek. After I've washed my hands in the ladies' room, I wipe the counter top and sink off.

I'm a geek (but I learned this from 7Mare).

After a dive, I immediately dive headfirst into the Reef ID books until I have identified everything I saw. lol

In fact, sometimes when I am bored, I re-read it.

AND I used to read the dictionary and the phone book when I was younger. I outgrew that.

Well, Dr. Doo is a huge geek. I spoke with him yesterday (ALWAYS a pleasure to answer the phone and have it be him, he has a fabulous voice for those of you that haven't been so blessed..) and he is currently in Banff, Canada, on the trip he won for being Vet of the Year. He sounded a bit stressed though, hopefully things picked up and he had a blast! :-)

He has pics of it on his site, www.drizz.com. If you click on "Where am I today", it will take you to it.

He's the biggest geek of all! But we wouldn't have him any other way. I tell him he's the coolest nerd I know. :-)

Hey, I can to do geekyness with the best of them. Some examples, calculator watch, 128 meg flash card always in my pocket. I was doing geek when the hippies ruled.

I got out to dive this past weekend. I met Mike at Folly Cove, we did a 55 minute dive around the right side boulder field. We were assigned two stripers (Striped Bass) when we submerged for the dive. They were with us the whole dive. A most excellent enjoyable dive, the vis was not great but the 61 degree water made up for it. Here's a few shots.

Okay, okay all right already, I fess up....I started compulsively looking up the fish I saw snorkeling several years back and making a list (checking it twice) Of course, this bad habit has only gotten worse since I started diving! I compensate by leaving my drawers a mess! Then, again, I must compulsively title and file all my pics and papers in alphabetical order....hmmm are we talking GEEK or OC disorders here? :-):-):-)

who's calling me a geek ??? I'm as normal as the next guy :-).
Always put on left sock first , always put on left shoe first ( lucky sport ritual)
Don't you even dare to put something in my kitchen sink when I'm preparing dinner !!!

ROTFLMAO, when I started to think about it I found at least three rigid rituals and rules I am to embarrassed even to mention.

Thanks Mare, if I were in therapy this would cost me at least three more sessions , LOL
( if I were in therapy , I wouldn't be sitting here , evil grin)

No way Annie!!!
I'm so righthanded I can't even scratch left.
Well, not in a straight line anyway. LOL

Geek , dunno , am I ? If I look for something in it's usual place and it has been "relocated" I can be immensely annoyed by that .

Wanna freak me out??? Put something on the stairs, you might find it "relocated " to the dustbin!

OOOps , I'm giving away way to many secrets, LOL.

Jos.

Maybe you are left eyed then. Yes, there is such a thing. Something is swaying you to the left side. You could even be cross lateral.

It isn't a bad thing.

Dr.Annie ,

like I said it's a sport ritual thing , at least that's how it started over 25 years ago.

I have no idea what cross lateral is but I do hope it is not contageous ! Don't want to have to go to see a doctor about that one do I ???

If there's something that's swaying me to the left it must be that darn Earth rotation combined with my crooked right leg. LOL

Sjosss
