Hi Freddie!

Time is indeed going by way too fast! I am taking this week-end off driving 3 hours to a softball tourney to get my yard in summer shape finally. Doing a little here and there, but I really need to have some uninterrupted time. Plus, I don't enjoy the idea of driving home 3 hours on the 4th of July either. :-) Have a great week-end to all who come here.

Can we use this thread to play catch up today? There are so many people that we have been thinking about who may want to let us know where they are now. Some people will remember that my uncle took his own life in Feb 2004; we have finally sold his house and just about finished sorting out his estate and effects so my mum and dad are finally able to move on. At present they are on a luxury cruise around the Baltic. Mum's knee replacement suddenly seemed to improve when the house sale was completed!
On a lighter note, our new cat Oscar just keeps on making us laugh. His latest trick was to hide a large dead mouse under the bath mat so I stood on it when I got out of the shower. Not funny for me but hilarious for Bob.
Anyone else want to update us? I really am concerned about some folks but am a bit afraid to ask :-)

Freddie, I have not a clue where the time is going. Is October 11th tomorrow?

Debbie, enjoy the water:-{)}

Julia, Thanks for the Oscar update. Love the mouse story. I like Bob would have messed myself laughing. Glad to hear your Mother is doing well and that you are near the end of a sad chapter.

All is well, but extremely busy here. Have a great day and weekend folks.

Yes, the weeks do go by quickly Fredster...but I am so glad to have 3 days off....this work thing is wearing me out...oh, yeah on top of Alison's rehearsals every evening until 10 or 11 p.m. Looking forward to just vegging out! And, Tom, it can't be October 11 tomorrow...cause I would already be on Bon (maybe it will be 10/9 tomorrow instead???) :-)

Hey guys, I like the idea of catching up on everyone. My mom was been in the hospital all last week (with kidney infection and congestive heart failure) but is now home and doing much better. David is doing better, had test done 2 weeks ago and he only has one blood clot (had 3)left in his leg and hopefully that will be gone soon as it is smaller.

Babs how is your dad doing? Hope he is better.

Julia, glad to hear your parents are doing ok and hope they enjoy their cruise.

I am with Freddie where have the days gone.

Kelly glad things are easing up in your life.

Kathy hows the new house coming along? Enjoy your vacation.

Talk to ya'll later ---- Andy

Julia. Glad to hear that you have everything sorted, and that your mother is feeling better. The cruise should be a wonderful tonic for them.

Did you enjoy your trip to Mallorca. We had a great time there, the weather was just beautiful as was the place.

Emma is doing fine. She had a tumour removed from her bladder, followed by a chemo session, a couple of weeks ago now, and she is recovering nicely so far. She plans a bbq for tomorrow as it is my youngest granddaughter's birthday. Kirsty will be 7.

Andy. Glad to hear that your mother and David are doing better.

Like you said Freddie, where does the time go? clock

Big hugs from me to everyone. name

Keeping my fingers crossed for the weather in the Northeast... Played 9 this afternoon.. in a fine mist... Andy, Julia & Annie... glad to hear that things are starting to run a tad smoother... and Freddie.. 8 weeks? Are they staying with you?

Well it's been 1 year Saturday when we celebrated my husband's older brother's life.
It took 4 months to just get his house ready for the market. Got it sold last November and was to have passed papers the end of Dec... when a water pipe let go from the extreme cold. The deal feel through ( which was really a blessing) fixed the damage and sold it 2 weeks later for a quite a bit more.

Hoping that summer is here to stay...and looking forward to Feb 2006. No date yet, depends on who is flying.. figured we would wait a liitle bit more... Have a safe 4th.

Well. We had a bit of a scare in the last 24 hours. (Think non-refundable airline tickets to Bonaire next Saturday.) We got a call late yesterday afternoon that my father-in-law had bleeding between his brain and skull and had lost some motor control. He went in for surgery at 6 last night, and John and our daughter drove down to be with his Mom. His step-dad came through the surgery and is doing well, but he is 84, and as such we're still holding our breath for the next couple of days. Meanwhile, sure is quiet here! If everything is still good, John and Danielle will come back tomorrow. I was going to rent a cell phone from Michael while we were in Bonaire because we have a grandchild due in 5 - 6 weeks, but now we'll need to stay in touch for his Mom too. Hopefully all will continue to go well, and we'll enjoy our usual wonderful trip. We are soooo ready to go, and NEED it, too!

Gail, I hope all goes well on your trip!

Andy, we love FL SOOOOo much. lol I don't want to keep on about it, but the move was the right move for us. We're very happy. My brother and sister are still the same, but now it's like my sister's brain damage has turned her into a child, so my communications with her are that way. She can't really remember anything, and that is sad, but I can understand it and deal with it now, at least. My brother can remember everything, talk about anything, and whole heartedly wishes me well in this move (important to me!), and we talk every day. It's only his body that is failing, not his mind. So I have a mixed bag, really. But I'm doing my best and I do love my new lease on life, and I do treasure life... more, I think, because of my family not being able to, I'm sure. That's a tough thing, but I've settled into that thinking. I'm still helping them, alot. But I've moved, not moved on, just moved. And the move helped me and Larry. We wake up happy here, truly.

We had a great vacation. :-) My website is down while I'm moving/rebuilding it, but I'll have new pics up soon of the vacation and Erin. :-) We are still not out of the whirlwind of the move and vacation! Daniel flew back today, so that was sad for us, esp. Larry, but there's a 3 day weekend and a precious baby Erin who smiles so big at us, so you see....there is more good than bad, and we are grateful and happy, even with the sad things.

Annie B, I missed asking about Emma so am glad you gave the info on her.

I reach my 5 year survival mark this month from breast cancer. so I know how it is to worry if everything is going ok. will keep praying that Emma completely recovers.

Kathy, it is nice that your brother still has his cognitive facilties even if his body is going, he will be able to make his own decisions about his care. Wish your sister had that option too. Enjoy the St Pete/Tampa area. My son was stationed there for 6 years and loved it.

Andy
