I was contacted by a reporter Monday morning by email, asking me if they could do a Features article on mine and Larry's scuba travels. (local 50k distribution area paper) "Sure!" I said. But then the email today asked me to write up my own accounting of the travels and send the pics back so he could go from there. Ack. He'll probably re-write it and leave out my best pics, but I gave it my best, and it was entitled "One Island at a Time" and I do believe, I did some good writing from the perspective of 40 something, empty nesters who love to travel and scuba dive. I'll let ya'll know when it's in print. Was a unique experience, writing it, that's for sure.

Thanks! When it's out (Travel is a Saturday feature), I'll let you guys know and somehow try to show what they publish. The paper has an online version as well (The Anniston Star), but requires subscription to read the articles, so I don't think I'll be able to link it - but I'll try somehow to show ya'll what they do!

Well, today was a no news day. wah I know that in past dealings with the Star (stories for my program) sometimes it would take two weeks for it to be in print. Now I've made you all anxious with me. lol

Babs, I did mention we'd tossed around the idea of a scuba travel club, as there are none around here. I hope he doesn't chop that!

Hazel, I just googled myself out of curiosity and OMG! lol The BT profile comes up on top when I use my email/screen name, then BT posts are next! Freaked me out! On my name a realtor comes up, unless you put my name and my town, then holy CRAP! I didn't realize I was so "findable"! I suggest you guys all try it as well. lol We're pegged.

Every time I've been quoted on work stuff it would sound stupid and my mother would frame it. LOL

I'm so nervous that tomorrow the story will be in the paper without even a heads up. I wish he'd have gotten back to me so I'd at least KNOW! But i was busy and also chicken to call him, so there, I get what I deserve if it comes out tomorrow all stupid!

If it does come out and I sound stupid, I'll frame it in my mother's honor.
