Thank you all, it means a lot.

This day started out great, watching the cams as the sun came up with a cup of coffee in my hand, and my family all safe. I hope Jake gets home to his family today.

Got to spend a good portion of the day celebrating my Aunt Marions'(our matriarch's)life. Really was great, saw more family and old family friends together with many of them sharing their favorite memories. My sides hurt from laughing - good hurt if you know what I mean.

My lovely wife and partner of many birthdays is taking me out to our favorite Italian restaurant tonight:-{)}

8pm eastern tonight = GIT-R-DONE!! I will be recording it as I hope to be enjoying a cannolli.

Thanks again all.

Linda~ I have 8 family birthdays in September, extended family (in-laws & steps included), but nonetheless it's still 8 birthdays in one month. My husband, son, mother-in-law, brother-in-law, step brother's wife & both of their kids, and my nephew. I know I'm leaving somebody out! I also have several friends whose bdays are in September. May is a busy month too! My birthday is in May, as well as my dad, my step-mom, 2 cousins, 2 nephews, and on-&-on. My dad's wedding anniversary is also in May as is Mother's Day. My dad's bday is May 13th and happens to fall on Mother's day occasionally.

Wow, I'm almost too late!

Happy Birthday, Tom! Enjoy your meal, and the rest of your day.

I'm also looking forward to seeing you in Bonaire in a few weeks. Come to think of it... maybe sooner: are you and Smack staying the night before at the Holiday Inn Logan? We'll be there!

We're taking our 3-yr old son to the baseball game tonight, Texas Rangers vs. Chicago White Sox. We watch a lot of baseball on tv, so he's quite familiar with the sport. His favorite player is Alfonso Soriano (sp?). He loves to say his name and he says it with such gusto! Should be a fun evening!

Thanks again folks,

I am up late, stayed up late.

We had a great dinner at Cannon's, ate way tooo much. The owners put together a great meal, from their bread to dessert. Carole, I had a favorite of yours and mine, here is a clue, it was loaded with clams - mmmmm.

Ron, I believe you and I were born in the same year. It is probable that Stella and I are related, I will ask my sister. I did have a Great Aunt who lived in Burlington, just do not remember her name. Do you remember her parents' names. My great-grandparents had a large family as did their siblings, there is a photo of the "Tribe" at:
http://www.oldbonairetalk.com/newsgroup/messages/23830/148863.html?1076366564#POST175158

Our Cousino/Cousineau family reunions used to require large fields to hold all of the family that would show up.

When you say Lakeside, are you referring to the area by the old G.E. plant?

Susan, Are you packing yet? Smack and I are staying at the Comfort Inn on Morrisey. Will see you at the airport - soon:-{)} So looking forward to finally meeting Geoffrey and yourself!

Leigh Ann, It was me you were talking to the other day, Yup that is the family, used to enjoy their "pies" at the original "Best Pizza In Town".

Fortunately for me, when I now want "The Best Pizza In Town", fellow Bonaire Talker Harry Shripka's pizza house "Rocky's" is close by.

Tom...you planted the thought into my brain....tonite Joe and I went to our favorite Italian restaurant nearby and I ordered the linguini with white clam sauce...to die for delicious!! It can be the small things in life that can give one such great pleasure! Carole

In answer to your questions, yes near Lakeside by the GE plant,(where I worked), more specifically Flynn Ave by St Anthonys Catholic Church. Her name was probably Danis or Compagna/Companion. Her husband was Ralph. regargless i was surprised to see VTers on this site, but I guess Lake Champlain is becoming something of a dive haven. I remember when I still worked in Burlington one of my co workers had found, or at least dove on an old boat proportedly used by Benidict Arnold or some such thing. My first experience with a hobo (as we used to call the guys who rode the rails) was as I was 12 snorkeling at Cliffside and had speared some fish. When he saw my success he was thrilled and I got him a dozen or so perch in short order. Probably illegal now. The earliest hints of my dive beginnings. Been in NC since 1986, transfered here for 2 years, been here ever since.
